Spider-Man's rogues

Why is every Spider-Man villain animal-related?

>Black Cat
>Doctor Octopus
>Vulture
>Scorpion
>Killer Croc
>Rhino
>Chameleon
>The Lizard
>etc.

And then you have some that just aren't, like Kingpin and Electro

>Killer Croc
>Spider-Man villain

When I was a kid I legit thought those animals were the spiders natural enemies. Kind of odd spider man hasn't gotten enemies like Wasp woman or Fly boy.

How the fuck are Sandman, Hydroman and Mysterio animal related? Goblins aren't even animals they're mythical.

Sandman is definitely animal-related, same with Hydroman (as living creatures need water to survive). Mysterio I'll give you

And goblins are animals, just mythical ones

>And goblins are animals

Fuck off.

>mythical ones

Faggot. We're talking about fantasy anyway

Kingpin is animal related, he's Rhino.

>animals need sand to survive
Muslims?
>goblins are animals

A in-universe reason that sort of made sense was that since he was an animal totem(which itself was stupid) he attracted animal themed villains. Actually nevermind, it didn't really make sense.

1. Electro, Shocker, Carnage, Kingpin, etc.

2. Goblins are real

>men who get powers after being bitten by radioactive spiders are real

And what, pray tell, animal is a sandman?

Thats dumb as shit, dont ever reply to me again without some thought put behind you're post

Goblins, ghouls, and gnomes are all real. Goblins are the rarest of the three but still exist

This is literally a plotpoint in the JMS spider totem stuff

just fuck off

>he hasn't read Dan Slott's ASM reboot ongoing.

>hammerhead

...you don't think Hammerhead is animal related?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammerhead_shark

He had a fly enemy, but was pretty much a one-shot

I like this post.

Don't forget this guy

This is why.

>Sandman is definitely animal-related, same with Hydroman
>And goblins are animals

...

Even in mythology goblins are sentient beings.

Majority of comic characters in general are named after animals.

>goblins are animals

You do know what the word animal means right? It's dumb as hell, but he's not wrong on that one.

>spiders
>lizards
>rhinos
>magic green men
thats reaching

Carnage and Venom aren't animals.

They behave like animals

What's a Mysterio?

youtube.com/watch?v=Exelw_BwGcw

Fishbowl

user this isn't like a thing where humans are animals and people just decide to separate them. This is a thing where the creature is completely nonbiological.

I could understand if you called a Unicorn, Werewolf or other such animal derived monsters animals, but these are imps. They cannot be categorized as an animal.

It's like calling the fucking devil an animal.

A lot of his villains are animal-themed, science-created, or both.

>>Mysterio
animals are mysterious
>>Green Goblin
goblin sharks
>>Hobgoblin
hobgoblin sharks
>>Shocker
shocksquach
>>Electro
electric eels
>>Hydroman
sea animals
>>Sandman
desert animals
>>Spot

>>Kingpin

>>Venom

>>Carnage

>>Kraven the hunter

>>Morbius

>>Molten Man

Kraven is kind of animal themed, although from the opposite direction.

...

Wasn't there a wasp God thingy at one point?
I liked her.

I thought she was going to be a cool monster.

Why is every Mega-Man X villian animal-related?
>Chill Penguin
>Launch Octopus
>Spark Mandrill
>Armored Armadillo
>Storm Eagle
>flame Mammoth
>Sting Chameleon
>ect.

And then you have some that just aren't, like Vile and Sigma

>low quality bait

wow

Kraven is sort of animal themed
Venom is spider themed

Human.

>animals are mysterious
I'm fucking dying

>Kingpin
>Electro
>Shocker
>Sandman
>Kraven
>Hydro-Man
>Will O the Wisp
>Screwball

>The Enforcers
>Goblin
>Hobgoblin
>Menace
>Freak
>Mr Negative
>Paper Doll
>Smythe
>Carnage
>Shriek
>Carrion
>Chameleon

>Chameleon
Seriously?

In his defense it's clearly more metaphorical than literal compared to Lizard, Rhino, Vulture, etc.

This, I have yet to see him dress up in a Chameleon suit and activate it's camouflage tech

>Will O the Wisp

Are you retarded

Nope, he's a rogue, granted he's one that tries to be good, but he's still labeled as a rogue, just like Venom is.

>Kind of odd spider man hasn't gotten enemies like Wasp woman or Fly boy

Shathra and the Human Fly.

>Kraven the hunter
>ravens

I was really fucking bumbed that she wasn't mentioned at all during Spider-Verse, I really liked her from the JM run.

They at least randomly brought her back in Kaine's Scarlet Spider.

>Kingpin is animal related, he's Rhino.
Do you have those screencaps?

Oh fuck what? I read Scarlet Spider a while ago before I read the story about her hunting down Peter, so I guess I didn't notice her coming back. Fuck. I need to get Scarlet Spider for my shelf, that comic was so fucking good.

...

>>Carnage
>carnies

>tfw I remember being casual enough to not recognize her

Is nothing sacred?

>jack o lantern
jackalopes
>hammerhead
hammerhead sharks
>big man
whales
>enforcers
enforced animals
>stiltman
giraffes
>Will O the Wisp
willow trees
>Menace

>Freak
freaks
>Mr. Negative
basset hounds
>Paper Doll
paper wasps
>Smythe
robot spiders
>Shriek
it's a kind of bird
>Carrion
dead animal
>Chameleon
chameleon fish

I never understood Lizard being classified as a "pretender." He's literally a giant Lizard.

It is because of a racial caste system. Animallike ones are considered inferior laborers, while humanoid ones are the upper society. As the upper ones move around, the lower ones get used as pawns with promises of freedom or simply getting mind-controlled.

>Shathra
Are wasps and spiders natural enemies?

And all known real life sentient beings are animals.

They don't really they behave more like lichen or gut flora

>willow trees
trees are plants user

But what live in willow trees? Animals do!

He means pretenders in so much as they aren't the chosen totemic person. Like, Rhino could put his brain into an ACTUAL Rhino tomorrow, but it wouldn't make him the totem.

...

Ah yes, Mysterio is my favorite animal, though wild Venoms are quite adorable. I had a pet Goblin once but it was a nasty, mean creature, so when my sister asked if she should be getting an Hobgoblin or an Electro for her new apartment, I said Electro.

>Doctor Octopus

youtu.be/tT55pvSe9R4?t=1m34s

Wasn't stilt-man a Black Goliath villain?

I think it was implied that Rhino and Scorpion might actually be real ones in The Gauntlet or Grim Hunt or somewhere.

Well then my example was terribly picked. But my point stands.
