Smokey And The Bandit

You guys

How the FUCK do I get Eastbound And Down out of my head

Also this movie was great. Watched it for the first time during the TCM rerelease recently and that shit was awesome. Reminded me a little of The Warriors in how it built up its world: You'll see little pockets of the community inside, most of 'em you never end up seeing again, but they give you an idea of how the community works and, more importantly, how wide-reaching it is.

Convoy is way better

The only way is to watch it 70+ times. If you had parents that loved you, they'd show it to you at an early age.

Those films aren't competing.

Convoy is way better. Fuck the digestposter above me. He's at the first stage of community worldbuilding alluded to by OP, but here on this board.

Fag, I know Convoy is way better. No one is disputing that.

Please do not refer to me as a homosexual, thanks.

I'll check out Convoy then.

It sucks, doesn't hold up at all

same as your mom then?

Couldn't believe how good it was.
Amazing chemistry between Burt and Sally.
And Jack Benny was hilarious.

Thems fightin' wurds

Convoy was way better.

No, Peckinpah wasn't even trying

DON'T watch 2, and under no circumstances watch 3.

We got a long way to go
and a short time to get there
I'm east bound just watch ol' bandit run

redneck kino

>Ship Coors in an refrigerated truck
>Drive truck from CO to GA in baking sun
>People drink balmy ass beer immediately after truck arrives

It probably wasn't delicious guys.

>Write a post and use refrigerated instead of unrefrigerated
>I suck

I don't plan on it. Generally speaking the sequels are never as good (barring things like John Wick where they actually improved on the original).

Part of the Burt Reynolds trifecta.

1. Deliverance
2. Smokey and the Bandit
3. Hooper

Hooper is arguably the better of the 2 between bandit and itself.

Hooper was OK but it was in no way better then the first Smokey and the Bandit, But then again I saw it at the theater when it was first released. It was of course more entertaining at the time. CB radio was still all the rage. And Sally Field was in her prime. Time really doesn't help this movie. It was far more fun then. Most people knew all the CB jargon then sl it wasn't code as it is now.

i need a fucking trans am pronto

2 was fine and I really really want to see the original cut of 3 with Buford T. Justice as the bandit
