can someone give me some recommendations? i've pretty much seen all Korean ones, couple japanese ones that are outside the confines of the j-horror genre, and some of the French ones (don't like them as much, just brutal gore for the sake of brutal gore). all American or British ones, i've pretty much same save for some of those that exist largely in obscurity
looking for suggestions

Camden Foster
i actually just watched this a month ago definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it
Austin Bailey
I literally downloaded it last night kek Been meaning to watch it for years just never gotten round to it.
>A Tale of Two Sisters Nothing will compare to this. Try the Korean Hensel and Gretel. It's a 6/10 but worth the watch.
Also try The Red Shoes (2005) and Kairo (Pulse) (2001) if you want j-horror.
Carter Wilson
seen Kairo but not the other two surprisingly will download now The korean hensel and gretel looks pretty fucking awesome
last Japanese horror movie I watched was Marebito. I think the director has made a lot of j-horror but for some movies he branches off from that style (this movie being one of them) no real cohesive plot or anything but for the purposes of the film, it didn't need one thought it was decent
Adrian Ortiz
>The korean hensel and gretel looks pretty fucking awesome It's decent. I'll say no more to avoid spoilers.
Marebito was shit imo. It's just j-torture-porn. If you like that gore and women getting mutiladed/raped shit try the "Guinea Pig" movies. I prefer a good story than just mindless gore.
Jaxson Miller
i don't remember any torture scenes and nah i generally don't like that, which is why I hate contemporary french horror i honestly don't remember excessive gore either other than girl licking blood n shit, but i more likened that up to being similar to Let the Right One In
I honestly haven't seen that much japanese horror, but it's safe to say I probably won't be checking out the guinea pig movies
Angel Russell
>probably won't be checking out the guinea pig movies Wise move.
Just remembered I had this jpg, some great movies on it not just horrors. New World is pretty good.
Blake Morris
gonna check out Hensel and Gretel pic related is last Korean horror I watched (horror themed at least)
Robert Ortiz
NICE DUDEEE THANKS FOR THIS i've been getting so heavily into Korean stuff lately I've seen probably 20-25 off this list in past few months but now I've got a ton more to watch
Nicholas Campbell
Not that user but I really recommend The Age of Shadows and The Handmaiden.
Robert Hughes
I love Los Sin Nombre, very overlooked movie. Creepy as shit.
I think the original Shutter was Thai, that movie is great.
Matthew Watson
Honestly, I was just annoyed because they made it so obvious yet she still didn't want to check it out.
Aaron Long
If you want some lesser known J-Horror, try 2004's Curse. It's not great and it's amateur-ish enough to remind of Noroi but it was ok. Amusing at the very least.
