>You're a lose cannon, McNutman, but goddammit you get results
Honestly everyone hypes up The Wire but it's pretty cliche a lot of the time

None of the black cops and none of the white criminals can act.
Also Omar is closer to fitting into the Marvel universe than a realistic drama.
>Omar
>implying he's the worst offender
*teleports behind you*
everything outside of season 2 and 3 are major snore fest but I guess that's to be expected from a show written by a journalist.
>white criminals
What did he mean by this?
female lesbian cop and lester were also terrible.
please do not derail
This poster is legitimately retarded
>educated, good manners, well spoken.... Black?
Yeah completely ruined the immersion for me tbqh
More like no one except mcnulty and the main black cop can act in this shit show
Idris Elba was good
When you walk through the garden....
say that to his face prag. go on.
main street nigga that wore his doo rag funny was also really fucking good.
>not remembering 'Avon'
no, NO not that guy. the guy in season 3 that got all the shit from stringer.
These are for you OP
Literal faggot
>"serious" crime drama
>main character has a fucking catch phrase
youtube.com
It wasn't like he was constantly saying it
The dialogue when he and omar have the alley confrontation is horrible
It's like Sopranos "What are you gunna do?"
It's not a catch phrase that ends off the episode with seinfield music that plays it out, it's his defense for being an asshole all the time. Mcnutty victimizing himself when he's the destructive asshole.
>being this retarded
First, you gotta remember when the Wire came out. HBO was just starting their epic tv show trend you so much enjoy now. Second, the wire brought the drug war and its effects into upper white American homes. Third, after the wire starting explaining the process of getting wire taps and cell phone tracking we saw middle America begin to demand that privacy laws matter.
So while you may not enjoy it, it will be one of the most important shows HBO ever made.
Also thanks to The Wire people realized that Black people exist, truly a revolutionary TV show.
Is this what Baltimore is actually like
>"You're a loose cannon, McNulty. I oughta throw you off the force!"
>he actually throws McNulty off the force, just like he said
I don't see a problem with this.
>we're not so different, you and i
damn stringer
>hes too young & dumb to have seen Homicide: Life on the Streets or In The Heat Of The Night.
Yeah there were noooo black people on kinotv before. kys aged 25 white male.. trump gonna draft you and ger some chink to blow your brains out anyways..
If you're over 25 it's actually sad that you're on this website
>because old guys never sit on the toilet
oh son. are you ever in for a world of hurt.
not remembering Bodie is even worse than not remembering Avon
It's sad that you're on here at all. Just a little less sad than him being on here. Why get superior about it
nice reddit spacing
People go on about how realistic it is but there's literally zero character development
Omar is a composite of several real life people. One of them even jumped from a balcony to avoid being killed like in the show. Only the real guy jumped from the 6th floor instead of the 5th.
there is, and that's not what realistic means
Anytime they attempt to do character development, they end up killing them off.
The wire is nihilistic trash for pseudo intellectuals
Most of the cops get some development and they live, nice buzzwords though
>reddit spacing
This meme is retarded.
It needs to die.
Quick
>bubbles
now kill yourself
>pretty cliche a lot of the time
How is it cliche?
So, D'Angelo didn't have a character growth just because he got killed?
>they end up killing them off
Who's Prezbo, Poot, McNulty and Carver? Just fucking stop baiting you tasteless faggot and fuck off.
