>Ł = weh
Rework your """""language""""" please. It's Finnish tier.

>ŁOS

>Polish for "letter" is "litera"
That's easy enough.

As for Ł = English W, I think most people just don't know.

im pretty sure youre talking about americans

Because it's not used in our language.

Lol, those chimps dancing in the background

Nigger the Finns stole your alphabet way back when

That's "W" in our language lmao. Do you have "W" too?

Didn't we used only 'L' in the past and made up Ł to differentiate ourselves from teh ebil Russians?

our w = v, (we don't have v in our alphabet)

But w in german is pronounced like V isn’t it?

doesnt seem that difficult
i should learn polish

lel

Oh I see, "W" and "V" aren't much different , "V" is pronounced a bit shorter

It's just an ehh eww sound
It's really stupid imo
Łukasz

Can you give an example?

WAH!

I'm a language freak so excuse me:
we have some words you might recognize, example: we have two words for 'bucket' - wiadro (Slavic vedro or something like that) and 'kubeł' (sounds familiar?). My favorite word is 'wihajster', we use this word for some random tool, my guess is that it derived from 'wie heißt'

t. håkan homosex

polish sounds more like swedish than finnish

>I'm a language freak
>pole
Most of you are stubborn when it comes to simple angielski

"Wahl" (election) wouldn't make much sense with a "V" because it supersedes the longer sounding "ah".

Oh I see, so it’s like spanish where some consonants change depending on what letter they’re next to

In this case the "h" is just an extension of the "a" which wouldn't work with a "V" at the start

i heard you eradicated most loanwords after ww2

Yeah exactly

My English isn't perfect but it's ok I guess, besides that - I'm older than most posters here so I had Russian in school, can read Cyrillic and I understand most. I also know some German.

Because it's a w, but looks like a L

isn't it just a 'w' sound?

KARTOFEL
szlaban
jarmark

Even the russians still say kartofel, they also say patroni for bullets and buterbrod for sandwiches.

>tfw kartoffel isnt even a german word

Not everything.
I don't mind you Germans, my grandma hated you but I don't (at the same time I'm not feeling like kissing your ass or something). I mean - I don't really care, we have some German, Russian, Latin etc words, so be it.

Why foreigners cannot pronounce "Ы"?

I can

i can no problem

Disgusting

why exactly?

vocaroo.com/i/s0j10CYO81n4
It's because most non-Slavic languages don't have this exact sound

I can

Russian teachers here force Ы as a halfway "uhiii". Some Russian podcasts and textbooks do it as well. And then I hear people freely pronounce it as "i". Same with unstressed "o" being sadistically taught as "a", and then I see videos where they pronounce it simply as "o" hmmmm

Did you know that russian language loaned that sound from turkic languages, probably from kipchak language?

I kekt at the bido, based Polan

most Slavic language don't have it either.

Because it's honestly a retarded letter. We should switch to V and W, it's not like anyone uses the Latin "EVROPA" V anymore.

>duża litera
rrrreeeee it's wielka litera you stupid fucking crocodile
Why is it even allowed to teach kids mistakes? Who the fuck did this?

its like the turkish pointless i
or a short ü in hun

>american...

>Ååååoooo ååo
