Will learning another language actually improve my life or make it more interesting?

Only if you use your knowledge of that language to go to another country

It’s a waste of time DESU

its almost impossible to assimilate though to other countries

especially the asian ones.

nothing can improve your life, ryan

no where to go but up from zero

Well not really, you will just understand what the words of the foreign lang mean.
If you want to do something that actually makes you feel better start working out.
It increases serotonin and dopamine production.(feel good chemicals in your brain)
That being said, I don't work out because I'm a lazy fuck.

maybe you will smash some prime asian pussy

you never know

Yes. It helps to train your brain my making you think more. Also learning multiple languages helps you to get jobs and opportunities

probably not

Learn a computer language and yeah.

learning a language for work is possibly the most mind numbing thing you can do.

The only right reason to learn a language is because there's some aspect of the culture that you enjoy, and makes the effort worthwhile at a level beyond simple greed.

Otherwise you'll just burn out.

Learning English must have been easy to justify simply because of the outstanding range of entertainment options.

I'm learning Italian because I wanted to read books in Italian(cooking books, novel) and extend my chance of enjoyment to the fullest when I travel threre.

yes

Learning another language is hard and frustrating and you will likely never need to use it.

>what is a vacation
>implying you can go up

Do people actually learn languages just to go on a vacation? I understand knowing a few phrases, but why would you put in hundreds of hours of effort for a 1 week experience?

both of those are me asshole

why cant i go up on a vacation you piece of shit

Well ive been here for 4 months and its pretty dope being able to communicate with people in their mother tounge, they pretty much instantly like you more and you dont come off as as much of a tourist

To be fair i had literally one week of classes before i came, and im probably gonne be on this continent 9 months in total, all you really need to learn is determination and oppertunities to practice, both of which are in abundance here

it helps against internet addiction. at least it helped me.

Do nordic languages work like romance ones? like you learn one and then you can learn the rest of them very easily.

From what I gathered (in this board), yes. Swedish would be the best one to start.

It will improve your cognitive capacity.

I thought Norwegian (nynorsk) was the more "central" one. That is, it's supposed to be kind of in the middle between Swedish and Danish.
