Probably Stephen Foster
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Foster
>Stephen Collins Foster (July 4, 1826 – January 13, 1864), known as "the father of American music", was an American songwriter known primarily for his parlor and minstrel music. Foster wrote over 200 songs; among his best-known are "Oh! Susanna", "Hard Times Come Again No More", "Camptown Races", "Old Folks at Home" ("Suwanee River"), "My Old Kentucky Home", "Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair", "Old Black Joe", and "Beautiful Dreamer". Many of his compositions remain popular more than 150 years after he wrote them.

Wha about our anthem?

Start with the Blues, it's the base for all the rest

What do you consider American music? Supposedly the only completely American music is Jazz and Jazz sucks.

B-Brad Paisley's good, I guess...

anything i listen when i was 16, Skrillex, deadmau5...
and now The Everly Brother, Frank Sinitra, Harry James, Richie Valen, Buddy Holly and Miley Cyrus

Rock 'n Roll is America's greatest invention. Groups like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Iron Maiden, and the Rolling Stones cemented America's modern cultural dominance over lesser nations.

this
Not to mention before rock and roll we even had our own cultural folk songs that every American knows by heart

youtube.com/watch?v=CwvazMc5EfE

>Rock 'n Roll
>American invention

Literally died out of laugh

The first song is awesome, sounds like America (the band name's America)

try some early Frank Sinatra or Bing Cosby, the commercial juggernaut:

is this one country music? It does give out some cool historical fact:
youtube.com/watch?v=MSDyiUBrUSk
his song was featured in Cars 1, listened to that song all the time

That's a Leadbelly song
youtube.com/watch?v=xn50JSI0W-E

Technically it's blues, but blues and music pretty much used to be the same thing back then, they were divided into "hillbilly records" and "race records" based on the race of the performer once the recording industry came, hillbilly evolved into country and race records into rythm'n'blues (when they met each other again that was rock,n,roll)
tl;dr you could say it is country, yes

About Leadbelly, he is the real Original Gangster, the first black musician to became famous as a criminal, and one of the pillars of old blues

the first song is great, the last two are a little bit too pop tho :)
more of those facts, nothing is tl:dr for them
Leadbelly sounds strange, I rarely see any of his old song pop up. Maybe i prefer a soother sounding voice than his, besides that recording is in low quality...
Ray Charlies however that's something I can get more of

maybe you can recommend me some Nat King Cole song?

I'm not sure about the genre, maybe Jazz, country, old pop, easy-listening and dubstep.
