No, and we don't. But some people here like to act like other people are uptight about it. But in reality, it sounds really bad when people swear when the situation doesn't call for it. I had an American guest professor who had gotten the impression that swearing was somehow acceptable here in all contexts. It was truly embarrassing to attend his lectures.

Swedish swear words are pretty weak and more used to put ephasis in sentences. We don't use references to sex or genitals, if a swede hears someone doing that he instantly recognises that person as being a foreigner.
