Our education system is very strained, you have about 30 children to one teacher so lots of kids struggle and fall behind, most teachers hate their job after 5 years and stop bothering to make sure every kid gets the attention they need to succeed. There's also cultural issues such as northerners being too proud of their working class background where they essentially beat the dreams and aspirations out of their children, they will make you feel that going to university and getting a fancy job will never happen so don't even try, just stay in your lane and become a plumber or mechanic.
