People who write so that others could read wouldn't write this way
People who write so that only they could read wouldn't write this way
Only people in schools write this way, or else they're completely retarded (unless they work in med industry)

>Literacy was introduced to Japan in the form of the Chinese writing system, by way of Baekje before the 5th century.

>At first, the Japanese wrote in Classical Chinese, with Japanese names represented by characters used for their meanings and not their sounds.

Idk but if you got a prescription from a doctor or some shit nobody would understand it but other doctors

やっぱりアメリカ人だな。
You make the rest of us look like shit.

Because you have to write A LOT of fucking notes when you work in a hospital, it's a pain in the ass to make everything as legible as possible.

English is a west germanic language that has evolved over time to include many loanwords etc. just like japanese is a chinese-esque language that has evolved similarly.

Yes. I understand it pretty good.

You don't really spend much time writing anything on paper as a doctor. You do as a student, though.

Even though we have to use electronic journaling and have been using electronic prescriptions for nearly a decade, you still do have to write a lot of notes, requisitions, comments etc.

And it's not just doctors, nurses and other paramedical professions develop a similar kind of handwriting.

...

But that's cute and pretty.

We do. Sometimes handwritings are illegible though.
