Wtf is this seriously the exact same plot as drive? From what I can tell from the trailer its a remake but it doesnt look or sound as good at all. Wtf is the point of this movie when I can just rewatch the Refn version of the same movie? You wouldnt just make a slightly worse remake of, I dont know, like, snatch or something, just for the sake of it.

It really is just an action movie with todays standard rate of quips/s though. And there is nothing stylistic or unique in the trailer. Just generic cinematography, generic action movie music and too many explosions.

I mean I don't know what to tell you other than to watch Hot Fuzz or Scott Pilgrim. Wright has a quick, kinetic, breathless style of editting actually really unique in comedy movies these days. His joke writing is also extremely tight. His shit's either your bag or it ain't.

Is this a joke? Snatch is the exact same thing as Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and it was great.

The Driver is literally a Taxi Driver remake

It's an Edgar Wright movie and has a pretty amazing cast, so I'm actually optimistic about it.
