Cars 2 desu famalam

Disney. They're the ones that wanna make everything into multi million dollar franchises with numerous sequels and market everything as hard as possible.

And since Disney owns Pixar...

Disney is the reason Toy Story is getting a 4th movie.

They ran out of stories from their famous lunch meeting.

Finding Dory was good so nothing

Filmmaking went from being a passion to just a job.

The Mouse spread its di$ea$e onto their computer-generated magic.

Toy Story 2

Toy Story doesn't need a fourth movie.

>2026
>not hyped for toy story X

>Disney

Pixar was bought in 2006.

>Ratatouille
>WALL-E
>Up
>Toy Story 3
>Inside Out

Yeah, they sure ruined Pixar alright. Disney ruined Pixar so much that they got two best picture nominations at the Oscars, a feat only previously achieved by Beauty and the Beast.

Sequels: the animation company

Sup Forums claims they got poached by disney (which probably is true) but I haven't seen any concrete personnel transfer examples so who knows.

...

PIXAR has a formula. Its getting stretched thin, but it works sometimes.

WDAS is sorta new, theyre trying to find an identity at this point and i think theyre on the right foot. Theyve mostly gotten away from the summer blockbuster musical and theyre pushing boundaries but theyre trying to remain autonomous from PIXAR. Mileage varies.

PIXAR needs to find a new hook. No more sequels

But user, only two of those movies are good.

Disney started twisting their arm for merchandising so things have gotten progressively worse.

Happy to hear there will be no more sequels after inc 2, maybe they struck a deal since Disney's in-house studio is doing so well.

All of them are good. It's just that two of them are VERY good.

it feels like the early 2000s where you click on a half naked anime girl and the loading screen never finishes loading

Everything after Brave was bad

Pixar guys used to take sabbaticals to think up new ideas. Their new ideas also came from their technology.

But now they don't have any new good ideas but bad sequels come out because they have to make SOMETHING.

idk zootopia was pretty good

2006.
>Disney acquires PIXAR.
>PIXAR releases Cars, the first movie that they didn't think up at that "famous lunch", that they talked about when hyping up WALL-E.
>After Cars only two more objectively good PIXAR movies would release before Toy Story 3, an unnecessary and arguable remake of Toy Story 2 was to mark the end of the golden age.

Not Pixar, retard.

THAT WASN'T PIXAR REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

John Lasseter ate all the good ideas

Sequels. Cars especially. Never did like any of the Toy Story movies. I liked Finding Dory, but it's nothing to write home about.

Pixar got cocky and walked into the same pit that Disney had fallen into in the late 90s, opting for a quick buck with established franchises over doing what put them on the map in the first place.

Doesn't help that Brave got such a mediocre critical reception compared to what they're used to. I'm sure that really bruised their egos and put things into perspective. They realized they weren't invincible.

im curious as to which 2 you guys think are good.
WALL-E and Up?
