Keep doing it and it's going to be more fucked up. Best clones/copies are always of the original source. Clones from Boba are more or less going to turn out in varying degrees of 99.

Most of the Kanan comic takes place DURING The Clone Wars.

No, Kanan was created purely for Rebels, nothing in his story was something intended for TCW.
The closest thing there is that Depa Billaba was set to appear in the background of an episode, but that's it.
I'd like to see something similar to the Jodo Kast story, where Boba crawls out but finds that in his absence some asshole has started pretending to be him. He sets out to find this guy, but he also has to come to terms with the fact that his time in the Sarlacc has left him with considerable muscle and even nerve damage from which he'll never fully recover, but he's set on making sure that his (and by extension his father's) legacy remains in his hands. He sets out for what may be his last hunt, to find this imposter and settle the score.
He and the imposter have a Sergio Leone-style duel at the end- the imposter is killed, though he also fatally wounds Boba. He dies with the satisfaction that he did so under his own terms, having protected the Fett legacy, and with the satisfaction of knowing that whoever becomes the new "best bounty hunter" will live without knowing whether he would've stacked up against Boba, never having the opportunity to directly challenge him (sort of like how Cad Bane never had the satisfaction of seeing whether he could beat Jango in a straight fight).
Also featuring Dengar and Bossk as supporting characters.
I don't hate this
I think something like this with a western vibe would work for Boba. I doubt it would go over well if Boba dies at the end, but a story like that really only works if he dies.

I like this idea because one of the things that bothered me about Boba returning from the Sarlacc in the EU was that it never really made an impact on him. There's stories about him in the Sarlacc, stories about him getting out and having to recover... but after that, he just goes back to normal and the ordeal had barely any physical or psychological effect on him despite having been there for weeks or months. He may as well have just been locked in a closet for a few days for all the impact it had on him. He comes back and he's right back to being the same old Boba Fett.
I just want an Edge of Tomorrow/Groundhog day plot device. No matter what he does he can't escape the Sarlaac
That's what made Maul's return work. At the beginning it was dumb, he just comes back and goes "yes, REVEENENNNNGGNENNGNEGNE on KENOHHHHBEEEE" and that's boring.
Then season five hits and his arc is less about revenge on Obi-Wan and more about trying to carve out a place for himself after having his life goal and promised position taken from him. At this point, his being defeated by Obi-Wan has a greater impact beyond just "you beat me and cut me in half, I have robot legs now and want revenge", it completely derailed his life and he can't just pick up where he left off because his master moved on and replaced him and now sees him as a threat.
This is also why Maul returning in Rebels doesn't work- he didn't "die" again so this isn't a resurrection cheat, but at the same time it's now been 15 years since the Clone Wars and Maul still has the same story, the same goals, and the same methods. Nothing changed. It's just "welp, here's Maul again!" just like what happened with Boba in legends and it's boring.

She had the added problem of the clones turning against her people, though. She was the Jedi in charge of training the clones and seeing them go off to battle and what not. That probably had a big psychological effect on her to the point where she might not have wanted to try and fight off the clones just to get to Anakin.
His bio on Starwars.com says nothin' about it, unlike Boba, so I'm gonna say he's still alive. And he deserves to live, after all!

Could have been executed better. WAS executed better in TCW. Toning down the accent and pratfalls for the sake of pratfalls would have made him far more bearable in TPM. I actually quite like the scene of him fucking around during the droid battle for some reason.
That said I don't particularly ride the hate wagon, he's eyerolling at worst and we wouldn't have the greatest star wars comic of all time without him.

I've been looking all over the web archive of that page, but couldn't find any reference to him dying. If it was actually there, that line must have only been there for a short time before it was removed, either due to it being an error or otherwise.
