Niche question: let's say the death of Gwen Stacy is what Doctor Who would refer to as a "fixed point in time" in the Marvel Universe - what would some others be?

>Fixed points in time were moments in the space-time continuum at which events were set in stone and could never, ever be changed, no matter what, with dire consequences if such a thing happened.

Captain America being frozen

Team origins like founding of the Avengers and the fateful rocket test of the Fantastic Four

Arrival of Galactus

Death of Mar-Vell

Others escape me

Carnageman saved New York/ the world

The Marvel Universe has a different notion of time's mechanics from the BBC.
But they do have events that get "pulled" with an "elastic timeline" so that things like the formation of The Avengers or the death of Gwen Stacy are always just a few years ago, no matter what year it is.
We readers know this as a soft retcon, but Doc Who would undoubtably refer to it as something like that.
That list includes all the major superhero team formations, important battles, defining moments in a character's life, tragedies, romances, even scientific breakthroughs in superscience.

How is that a thing, let alone an insult? jfc

I call forgettable. That's going to get the big retcon sooner or later.

Someone copy-pasted wrong from the TARDIS wikia. That user corrected it.

>Captain America being frozen

Good one.

Board culture is sometimes more like petri dish culture. That's how.

What're you referring to? I'm behind on all y titles.

Welll World War Hulk.

plz no bully ;_;

>if I leave here tomorrow, will you still remember me?

I will Carnageman, I will

Did Spider-Man lie? he has all that money now with Parker Industries

where is pic related

Marvel had an "event" crossover where the goodguys magically became bad and the badguys magically became good.
And so Carnage was one of the better instances of good meme material coming out of a dumb story idea.

Carnage came back and fought Nova while Peter was figuring out how to keep power running to the radio without ripping open the ground to build more power lines.

Thank dear sweet Odin for zoning boards!

>a dumb story idea

Sounds unironically great.

Well yeah, if you have the pure heart of a child...
That's the kind of story that fills your mind with wonder.
For cynics it's a horrible thing that should have never been done!

Inventing Ultron

Uncle Ben's Death

Daredevil going blind

Pretty much every origin would be considered an event like this.

I would also add stuff like when Spidey fought the Juggernaut.
And when IronMan had to quit drinking.
The stuff that qualify as "classic" stories that people remember as important.

Jason Todd death? I mean, the guy pretty much die in every universe.

Was going to mention Ted Kord for this same joke but remembered no one would care

>destruction of Genosha
>Birth of Franklin Richards
>Sentinels take over North America
>Phoenix force replaces/possesses Jean Grey

DC's going to be a lot harder to do, given that they Crisis away everything whenever they write themselves into a corner.
One Crisis even went out of it's way to mess around with Todd's resurection.

to look at what is considered a 616-defining event, you could always look at the what-ifs and other alternate universes in the Marvel multiverse.

Spider-Gwen proves your point. Renew your vows was more or less the same about the Mephisto deal, etc.

It been done in one of the side axis books, but Im not sure about the song.

OMG! I remember who Ted Kord is!

The time Spider-man gave Titania PTSD

Ms. Marvel getting raped

Daredevil's identity being revealed to public.

Very similarly Spider-man's, I mean, Matt tried asking Dr. Strange to cover it up with magic, but he said there's no spell in the world that change it.

Battragedy, Krypton goes BOOM, Midnighter is gay.

Doom crying at 9/11.

Did she ever get over the ass-beating Spidey gave her in Secret Wars?

Axis

Lol, so Strange bullshitted him?
