Post a typical car that the poorest in your country can buy.
This is a Moskvitch 412 or 2140, you can get it for $170 or even get it for free. Along with early models of Lada (but Lada is a higher tier).

Museum tier. Never seen one in past 10 years.
city?
Default city.
>Same for Siberia/Far east Russia.
I'm from Vladivostok, a town well known for grey-import of used cars from Japan.
We have lots and lots of used Japanese cars, basically 90% of all cars on we had were Japanese just 10 y. ago. Now I we have like 70-80% of Japs cars.
The cheapest cars are old corollas, civics, mazdas and such.
Oh. In default city they never been popular, despite produced there.
Have you been around other parts of the southern far east?
it's similar in Bosnia with fićo,stojadin and peglica(regional nicknames for yugoslav copies of fiat 600,fiat 128 and fiat 126,respectively)
Moskvich had reputation of "rural elderly man's car". You can't see them on the streets, but when you will try to buy it, they're still there in garages or yarn.
In smaller towns, old trucks and jeeps are popular. Young men modify them with "lifts" (pic related) and other custom designs because they are older and cheaper and easier to work with. The disadvantage is that many of these vehicles look rough, and need frequent mechanical work to stay on the road.
UAZ Buhanka default car for very rural areas. But not considered "cheap"
Just in nearest cities, like within 250 miles (yes that means I never visited Moscow). I was in HK, Taiwan, China (Shenzhen, Shanghai), US (Bay Area), Korea though.
Something like this
Suzuki Swift is the people's car here
In years to come they may become a collectors item. What used to be shitboxes here have become rare are worth more now.
...

suzuki alto from 1990's
or mitsubishi minica from 1990's
or toyota vitz from 1990's
or many other chaep cars from 1990's and 2000's
Chinese made Chebby
In the cities it's usually an old compact car like a Yaris or similar.
In the countryside it's usually an old Volvo 240/740/940 or a run down Mercedes E130
Although they CAN be made to look and drive pretty good
about $500 can get you one of these
