We might revisit what became of Lillard's character but it in hindsight it mostly set up the grand manipulation of which Mr C is capable, evidenced by his connection to Lillard's characters' wife which possibly led to him being able to frame the murder of the apartment woman/ Briggs to someone else entirely. The events are closely tied to a big mystery this season tho, what became of Briggs, so I'm sure we'll revisit it or at the least be given enough pieces to fill in the blanks

NOO. Twin Peaks recognises the sacred space of Jaws holiday weekend so we all get to wait. I've seen people say to take it like an intermission in the 18 hour movie that the season is, with episode 8 being some grand overture movement that separates the two pieces of the season

His connection was shady but she recognised him when he went to their house to shoot her. He says something along the lines of "your behaviour was very convincing/ almost human" which COULD imply she was a Dougie style person manufactured for a purpose.
