I love bad horror movies and I'll sit through 5/10 pieces of shit that have maybe one interesting gimmick, but the Purge movies were so god-awfully BORING.

it's an interesting premise no matter how idiotic. a huge guilty pleasure of mine.

there's so many of examples of this, the latest being the phoenix lights one, where it didnt even do good but the people that made it all walked away with a cool million

Its 7/10 at most, and the ending was shit, but the practical effects and monsters make up for it.

because the writers suck. I'm still drawn to the world in which the movie takes place. Same thing with zombie movies. Most suck, but I like to feel like I'm in a world infested with zombies as like to feel like what it would feel like to be in the predicament that the Purge characters are in. I can't affect the writing or decisions but I can at least enjoy the setting.
