Can we talk about how brilliant the Dominion was at divide and conquer? Not just because they were shapeshifters either.

Consider their infiltration of the Klingon empire. Yeah the obvious thing to do is take out the most powerful leader and replace him with a changeling, but that's not the smart thing, because what if you're found out? All the political decisions you made are exposed as illegitimate and lose public support. But replace someone close to the leader, and all the political decisions retain their legitimacy even if you're outed.

And don't you think the Dominion made sure that the Klingons aided the Maquis? Eddington even yells proudly that the Maquis had the Cardassians on the run, and Sisko responds saying, "and they ran right into the arms of the Dominion!"

Fucking brilliant. Star trek/Eddington thread.

The Klingon empire is a joke, Klingons are the most retarded specie from ST, and Worf is an unsufferable crybaby who can't shut is mouth up while sperging that he is a Klingon even while it is painfully obvious when amongst his people he have nothing common with them.
And to infiltrate an empire where the next ruler is designed after a literal dick contest to know whom is the worst savage is no big deal imo.

>it's a sisko goes on a genocidal rampage because he's butthurt about eddington episode

>have multiple powerful telepathic races.
>no psi corps/secret police

Section 31 really dropped the ball.

>Implying that Deanna Troi isn't a highly placed Section 31 psyop asset

>Consider their infiltration of the Klingon empire. >>no psi corps/secret police
that would be something that would fit the terran empire, but even if the section 31 is up to all sort of shady buisness that's still the federation: a bunch of gullible cretins way to much attached to their principles of peace and tolerance even with people like the maquis or the dominions.

Federation in the 24th century, had Time Cops. Even though no one had regular and reliable time travel ability.

So they should have had a Psi Corps to make sure the telepaths behaved them selves.

>*walks towards u*

Why do people dislike the mutant episodes of DS9? Do they not want genetically-enhanced GFs?

when you came warping in here, did you notice a sign on the front of my ship that said "dead vulcan storage"?

Why was she so perfect? Why didn't she love Bashir

Did she just not love Bashir (in the same way you don't love most people), or did she literally not understand love properly (so she couldn't love anyone)?

I was upset that Bashir didn't get his GF though.

>muh Colonies
>muh Cardassians
>muh our home
>muh Federation

Maquis are shit. Federation did nothing wrong

...

>Eddington is on there but Sisko isn't
needs to be fixed

>hey guys, we've arranged a peace treaty with the Cardassian empire after a long and brutal war
>as a result, a number of the disputed planets along the border will be given to the Cardassians in exchange for others
>we're happy to resettle you on some other planet if you want

>thanks for the offer, but I'm just going to refuse your reasonable proposal, kill civilians and risk inciting another massive war

Should have genocided the Maquis desu.

>genocidal
Not even close.

Come on, Sup Forums. This is a simple problem. You should be able to solve this.

>Consider their infiltration of the Klingon empire. Yeah the obvious thing to do is take out the most powerful leader and replace him with a changeling, but that's not the smart thing, because what if you're found out? that wasn't the only time the Federation gave planets to some other alien power and forgot to check in with the locals first.

there are a few episdoes in TNG where a human colony not in the Federation, was given to the Cardassians or the Sheliak.

Is Jon Arbuckle a Vorta?

they warned those colonists and they didn't listen and still colonized those planets
Federation should have left them to fend for themselves instead of helping them find a peaceful solution

The Federation politicians should have genocided themselves. They betrayed their own species for the damn Cardies. Especially when Starfleet could have easily defeated the spoon heads. Maxwell was right about absolutely everything.

"You're a fool, Picard. History will look at you and say, 'This man is a fool'."

youtube.com/watch?v=i41aEtE0iYs

Why did they make warfs head look like that

I mean seriously is there some symbolism behind it

>Especially when Starfleet could have easily defeated the spoon heads.
That's the problem.

If you defeat the spoonheads then they ally themselves with your enemy and come back for revenge.

Millions of Federation citizens died because of fools like Maxwell.

exaggerated for the sake of old standard definition tv.

it was also probably easier to apply. since a larger make up prosthesis could be made into a single piece and worn like a whig.

>When they push the warp engine beyond its limits literally every episode

I remember when they stole some borg shit and went like warp 10 +

youtube.com/watch?v=wMbQLCKkgAs

cool star trek amv

>If you defeat the spoonheads then they

If you defeat your enemy, they win. Thank you for the advice, admiral Trudeau.

>the Dominion war didn't happen
Nice historical revisionism, Sup Forums.

...

the federation couldn't afford a war right then
Cardassians weren't the only possible threat in the quadrant

>>Dominion

This happened years before the wormhole was even discovered, dummy.

>Rick Berman’s first choice for the role of Sisko was actor Avery Brooks. The two had met many years earlier when the then-struggling young actor rented a room in Berman’s family apartment, and Brooks’ often terrifying and deranged antics during the three months he lived there left a lasting impression on the executive. Years later, Berman remembered the volatile actor and knew that he was the only possible man who could play the mad Sisko, and he sent Brooks a copy of the script. “Between three and four in the morning, the phone rang,” Berman recalled. “It took me at least a couple of minutes before I realized who was the source of this inarticulate screaming. And after an hour of this, it dawned on me that he found it the most fascinating script and wanted to be The Emissary.”

>From the beginning of the production on the pilot episode, writer Michael Piller and Brooks argued about the proper manner to portray Sisko. Brooks wanted to play a “wild, ranting madman”, but Piller wanted something “quieter, more menacing”. In order to get the performance he desired, before each shot director David Carson would deliberately infuriate him. After waiting for the hot-tempered actor’s inevitable tantrum to “burn itself out”, Carson would then roll the camera.

Cardassians are Cardassians no matter what year it is.

If you defeat the spoonheads then they ally themselves with your enemy and come back for revenge.

>federation couldn't afford a war

Cardassia couldn't even defend their own territory against one ship. One ship. They had to beg Picard for help. Imagine if Picard sided with Maxwell. Two ships could have smashed their way to Cardassia Prime.

>Even the director wasn’t safe from his twisted vision. “One time I yelled ‘cut’ and he turned to me and said 'What if someone just stood in the middle of the Promenade and yelled cut? Maybe the Ferengi in suits would forget their trained routine of acquiring’ My jaw hit the floor and it never really came back up. That’s when I thought, is he getting in character to play Sisko, or is Sisko something that’s been in him all along?”

>“Sometimes I would go to look into the cameras, and I noticed he had put something in the lens. It was stuff like 'What if cameras were phasers? Would you be a mass murderer?’ and 'Lights. Camera. EDDINGTON!.’ I had to ask him to stop because I was getting too scared to direct.”

he was attacking unarmed transports and then hiding, it's not like he was destroying Cardassian dreadnoughts or something

>>Rick Berman’s first choice for the role of Sisko was actor Avery Brooks

Berman was actively trying to sabotage DS9.

trekmovie.com/2011/02/09/rick-berman-writing-star-trek-memoir-talks-roddenberry-ds9-voy-ent/

"Finds notion that DS9 show-runner Ira Behr "tricked" him into allowing controversial elements into show "hurtful" and "not true""

"Did disagree with Behr over DS9 war arc and felt it "went on too long" and conflicted with Roddenberry vision"

>Next generation
>DS9
>Voyager
>Enterprise

Original series I never really saw. I think I remember them literally meeting the god apollo or something. Seems like it's in a league of it's own.

>ally themselves with your enemy

What "enemy". Everybody hates Cardies. Name your phantom "enemy".

Imagine, if you will, a Cardassian/Romulan alliance. It sounds crazy, right? But watch enough Star Trek and you'll start to realize that it isn't such a crazy idea after all.

Sorry that was a tier list I messed up

Top tier: Next generation
Good tier: DS9
Woman tier: Voyager
Shit tier: Enterprise

transports carrying war material are legitimate targets of war.

Romulans would have taken the chance to attack a weakened Federation
Klingons can't be trusted

also there were still Borgs around so wasting more ships against the Cardies wasn't a good idea

But you shouldn't be impressed by his ability to not get blown up while he's blowing up unarmed targets.

That's true, but at the time they weren't at war.

Who did the borg represent?????????

>Did disagree with Behr over DS9 war arc and felt it "went on too long" and conflicted with Roddenberry vision"

Even if you agree with the interpretation of the federation as a peaceful, conflict-free paradise, it still shares borders with many hostile expansionist powers. It's inevitable that it would one day have to take up arms to defend itself.

communism

Does warp speed take you through another dimension or are you really travelling at superluminal speeds?

I would just warp a brick at some fags planet for laughs

You travel through subspace.

Your speed returns to sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-c when your warp field collapses.

Your brick will hit with the force of a brick, not a planet destroyer.

imagine you are in a hamster ball on a floor rug.

impulse is the hamster walking in his ball across the entire length of the rug.

warp is the rug being folded up under the ball as it moves forward, and then expanded back to normal space as the ball leaves. getting you to the end of the rug sooner, but never going any faster.

so why cant i fold that pupper up and whip it like a whip flinging me at god tier ultra light speed while the rug returns to being a rug

checked and mated?

>Cardassian/Romulan alliance

Good. Even the Dominion couldn't carry the spoon heads. The Romulans would have no chance. Cardies and Romulans would get crushed by Federation and Klingons. The Federation would openly aid the Bajorans to kill cardies. Starfleet would militarize years ahead of DS9.

This would make an excellent alternative history fan fiction series. Imagine Section 31 and Kira's cell versus Gul Dukat and Garak.

Gul Dukat was too busy banging bajoran whores to do his job properly.

Garak was too good and got exiled for it.

Why were the wormhole aliens so surprised to see Siskio as a corporeal?

It turns you into lizards, only sometimes though.

Sisko's mother is a Prophet. They didn't know she was blacked.

The Borg were originally supposed to be an insect hive mind race but were changed to cyborgs to save on expenses.

>mfw only 4 Changelings on Earth

Imagine Garak having to tolerate Dukat’s bullshit, like Weyoun did. If CBS is going to do a reboot, they should do that. Any excuse to get those two characters and actors back in Star Trek.

Changelings major weakness was they preferred being in the great link too much.

true..that episode were the changling saves Odo and Garak after the failed assault on the founders homeworld...He's says something about how the the founders recognized the dangers of the Obsidian order/Tal Shiar and had to neutralize them

Did he say anything wrong?

>picks up an STD
>flies off on his own to die alone
Monoforms: 1
Polyforms: 0

>Warner Herzog's 'Star Trek'

I want to eat soup off her head

Nothing secret about it. Vulcans used the mind-meld on unwilling subjects when it suited them. Spock, Sakonna, and even Tuvok I think.

Well, maybe there are secret telepaths, we just haven't had a story about them yet, except for Devinoni Ral, but he was a secret empath for another race.

Imagine having yellow fever that strongly

>turning down fertile cardassian poon
>missing the chance to be the first human to mate with a spoonhead
You're supposed to go where no man has gone before dumb mick

That's because they hired the finest bitches to play Cardigirls. Look up Melanie Smith for Ziyal. Makes me Long and Prosper down there.

>10 +
but 10 is already instant travel to anywhere
how can you go faster than that?

You aren't ready for that kind of knowledge, you just wouldn't understand.

Dominion (especially shapeshifters) vs Borg

What happens?

Shapeshifters turn into a rock, Borg leave without incident.

Not before assimilating all their subjects

Q vs Wormhole Aliums

What happens

wtf I hate O'brien now.

Q changes the cosmological constant of the universe around the wormhole, ayy lmaos celestial temple collapses.

>mfw we become the Terran Empire

You could always go up to 11

>qz.com/979007/rss-hindu-nationalists-are-trying-to-create-designer-babies-that-are-fair-strong-and-smart/
Eugenics wars imminent :^)

godspeed panjeet.. this is why there no muslims on startrek

That actually makes sense...

>let's have an unironic ds9 thread

Lmao.

>mfw the terran empire get spooned and klinged so hard that even the bajorans look down on terrans.

proof that Spock's "logic" is flawed

>mfw humans handicap themselves and become a slave race
>Still beat the entire Klingon/Cardie empire and forced peace

When will the rest of the galaxy learn?

at least gene was right about this.
>implying any of the asians countries have hangups about hitler outside of him being white and dont think its a great idea and their chance to shit all over the west.

You can't win against autists

>Dukat was so right that he is on here twice

god damn how long do I have to endure that shitty pairing?
she should fuck that Vulcan sperg instead.

Hahah fuck I forgot that Sisko straight up killed a planet because of one man's betrayal

Damar literally did nothing wrong.

he killed my qt bacardi

It's a completely crazy idea, the only time they've ever "allied" was a Founders plan to take out both their security organisations at the same time.

meh ..he got a lil yappy after a bit to much Kanar

as one of my friends said
> What's the point of secret police if everyone knows about them?
I'd imagine that an entire psi-corp would find it pretty easy to cover their tracks

Friendly reminder that Dukat did nothing wrong.
