Too busy crying that the latest marvel schlock is muh white genocide

I find it hilarious that this movie will put a massive halt to Spiderman box office numbers

just on the second weekend

based Apes

But I'm hyped

They're apes you fucking troglodyte

Apes, monkeys, all the same thing.

Sup Forums LOVE CAPESHIT MORE THAN APES

Koba did nothing wrong

just kidding he was cartoonishly evil what a meme character

He was a bit too evilish but his beliefs are not cartoonish evil and he isn't overly bad so it all works out pretty good

I'm hyped for Bad Ape.

Steve Zahn seems like a total bro

youtube.com/watch?v=aw8vmHDZq5Y

I'm major hyped. Baby Driver was good (but sadly not great), Spidey was unexpectedly more buoyant and fresh than I would have expected from MCU, and War may actually cap off a perfwct trilogy. Summer blockbusters have been good so far.

With Spider-Man shit opening Apes will take the top spot easily next week

None of the Ape films open above 100m. I find it hard for War to beat Spider-Man

Spider-Man opened to 117 mil and Dawn opened to 72 mil. I didn't say Apes would beat it opening just that it will knock Spider-Man off the top spot unless by some miracle Spider-Man has the smallest drop in cape history

oh my dude i am maximum 10/10 hyped for this movie!

More so than any other summer movie.

Rise and Dawn were amazing fucking movies.

unironically one of the best trilogies of all time

Honestly I haven't felt hype for anything after I stopped watching trailers.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

It's more of a Native American allegory but whatever

too busy watching real planet of the apes

Plan to go see this at the discount theater packed full of nigras while I eat crab legs.

the local shitbox cinemas is having a new ape trilogy on weds night for $22 starting at 5pm.

He had the setup of a well written character with shitty execution

He was subject to medical torture. His hatred of humans eclipsing everything else isn't that far fetched.

>Villain is white
>Hero is a monkey

Yup, there's no agenda here guize.

if i want to see monkey kino i'd wattch straight outta compton OP

Human work?

Do you think these will inevitably lead up to the Charlton Heston movie? We saw the ship take off in the first one. They've got to launch the nukes at some point, right?

Wasn't it implied that in the last film that it wasn't nuclear war but that the various plants around the world are not being maintained?

So is this the greatest reboot of all time? Not even shilling.

His motivations and actions are understandable, but not justified. There's a difference.

I cant think of anything else so yeah

LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Well, presumably the nuclear war would be some sort of last ditch effort on the part of humanity. I don't think we've escalated things to that level.

I'm just saying it's not really cartoonish that he would do everything in his power to end the humans.

Yes. This is unadulterated apekino. Unless you're talking remakes and not just rebooted franchises, because there are some great remakes like The Fly and The Thing

My biggest problem with his depiction is that he doesn't seem to regret "having" to shot Caesar for the greater good of the Apes. They definitely could have made him a more sympathetic character but by the end of his coup it's clear that he's just in it for personal gain.

I definitely think it's on par with The Fly and The Thing at this point. Or at least close to it, since both of those two were better than the originals, while I'm not sure I can say monkino has outdone the originals.

Tbh I think that being humiliated and seeing caeser ultimately pick the humans over him killed all respect and trust he had for him.

>The Thing remake
I hope you're talking about how the 1982 version was a "remake" and you're NOT talking bout the 2011 "film"

Of course he is, don't be an idiot

Does Casino Royale still count as a reboot? I remember when it came out it did but as the Craig films have come out I feel like people have abandoned that idea. Plus it's not like the previous Bond films all were continuous and CR was a hard reboot, for the most part they were all pretty standalone. Wouldn't Goldeneye be considered a reboot? It was longer between that and the previous film than CR and DAD.

But if you're asking in terms of post-Batman Begins/Casino Royale Hollywood where the studios realized how much money they could make rebooting shit, then yeah. They're definitely the best modern blockbusters. They really feel like movies with at least some artistic merit and depth rather than "look it's that thing you remember from the original film but this time it's modern!"

Is War meant to be the final film in the series? I assume Reeves isn't directing a sequel because of The Batman and I recall them referring to it as a trilogy, but I was really hoping that the fourth film would essentially be a remake of the original film with the timeline catching up after the ship leaving in Rise.

If you told me 7 years ago that not only would I be disappointed that Planet of the Apes wasn't being remade, but that a reboot with CGI instead of prosthetics would end up being the best modern blockbuster franchise I would genuinely be unable to believe that.

These movies are with Curse of the Black Pearl, 21 Jump Street, and Mad Max Fury Road in a group of movies that sound fucking awful on paper and have no right being as good as they are.

Yes I was talking about 80s one, 2011 Thing is technically a prequel anyway

He seems way too friendly with that 12 year old.

It's definitely one of the best reboots of the modern era, the movies are just so damn fine and have a sort of artistic quality to them that a lot of rebooted shit doesn't.

However I'm just not hyped for this one as it doesn't seem to be doing anything the last one didn't as the trailers didn't grab me for some reason like the last two did.

I'm sure it will have a nice debut though.

Nothing wrong with admiring her beauty :3

>Hero is a monkey
You mean an ape. There is a big difference.

We don't watch movies until the torrent is out.

All Sup Forums cares about is capeshit. There's nothing wrong with liking superhero movies but the board is obsessed with them, maybe even more than r/movies honestly.

You can thank moot and swaglord for that because they drove out almost all of the patricians in 2013 to make the board more reddit friendly

>Monkey Kino

MonKINO

APED

...

I'm beyond hype my man
>literally all the negative reviews are currently "it's too dark"
Based

I'm going to marry Amiah!

sorry, I don't want to see the downfall of europe, but this time in the entire world

Who the f**k keeps posting this shit Planet of the Apes threads compulsively comparing it to Capeshit as if comparing cow shit to dog shit makes the dog shit better?

Is Dawn of the Planet of the Soul of the Blood of the Wolf of the Era of the Magnitude of the Existence of the Battleground of the Distance of the Energy of the Cry of the Mount of the Apes good? I know nothing about it.

If she hasn't been BLACKED already than I'm surprised.

OP is a faggot. The term is apekino.

Because we're not keklording (((customers))).

...

it's called Apeshit actually

...

Are you okay?
That picture is not scary, by the way. You could have done much better.

Well, it ain't ours or anything. We don't even know what it's from and definitely couldn't make something that looks scarier ourselves, anyway.

What? There is plenty out there. That Manimal coming out your window is stupid as fuck.
Please, if it isn't you, trying to be edgy, and just grow up.

she's a little girl you sicko

Duly noted.

>young girls
>not having sex
pick one

/poltv/ is deluded into thinking it is interracial and antiwhite propaganda
/cotv/ doesn't give a shit about anything other than capeshit

Sup Forums want dat cunny

Fascinated by preteen girl's asshole and pussy, Sup Forums users flock to theater to see Cunny for the Planet of the Apes.

pretty sure every pleb and their dog is hyped for this movie. and so am I

>Why is no one hyped for Monkey Kino?
Because it already robbed La La Land's oscar.

But will the humans get character development?

seen the first two, they were incredibly dull and predictable. What exactly do people see in them? The above average CGI?

I'm bored of them already.

We know how its going to turn out.

Instead why can't they just stop with race analogy shit and make a proper Planet of the Apes movie set in the future that doesn't have Mark Wahlberg.

I really find it hard to find the race analogies in these movies when the two sides are so vastly different

>BUT THE APES ARE NIGGERS XD!

>so vastly different
>entire movie franchise since the reboot is about how similar they are

U wot senpai.

I'm hype as fuck for monkino.

Why?

Everyone knows how it ends. All that was needed was to see how it all began with the first film.

Because they have a cash cow. Might not be the biggest but it's profitable.

Same reason they keep letting Ridley Scott touch a franchise he never wrote for and got saved by editing.

heh

I see enough monkeys where I live thanks.

I gave the series a shot, I don't care that much for it. It's a CGI monkey taking over the world and no matter how well it's written it's too goofy to take seriously and it really wants to be taken seriously.

Planet of the Apes with VIETNAM SHITS was good enough for me. Stop wasting your money, Hollywood.

Peasant

They need more interesting non cgi characters

A cunny and Woody Harrelson is enough for me 2bh

Just say apeshit

>Didn't read the thread

the characters and their motivations were cool to follow.

it has very different qualities to the originals, the original has tons of fantastic writing and dialogue, the philosophical musings are much of what i love about the first all of which is missing from the new ones but they are still good in a more visceral sense.

Is this a poster for The Dark Tower?

How many of these damn dirty ape films can they make? Only ever saw the original Heston one. Do people actually go to these?

Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes are better than most of the movies Sup Forums talks about.

They've made what, nine over 50 years? That's not a whole lot..

i am ready for apekino
