>This made guy, right? Had the most discriminating eye when it comes to t&a. He's at a club one night, this broad's all over him. And she's got a really nice body, she's horny as hell. They step outside, they walk over to this picnic ground. She starts blowing him next to this swing set. He's about to shoot his load, he reaches down, to start fingering, undoes the skirt, reaches in, grabs hold of a goddamn prick.

>So my friend can't let this story get out. He wants to humiliate the freak as much as he was humiliated. So he gets this fucking acid, you know, burns everything. He pours it on her arms, on her face, everywhere, her prick. That's how good looking this broad used to look, had this wiseguy friend of mine totally fooled. She had to get a glass eye.

Am I the only one who really liked Chrissy?
His moments with Paulie were top tier kino

it was interesting to see someone so young like chrissie be involved with the mafia, i thought they were all just older guys

Chrissy is tragic. Tony gave him an out and he passed on it. He could have been a hollywood exec but instead he lost literally everything.

I never understood how he made it so far without getting clipped

because he was Tony's nephew

>her

You understand? We were gabbagoodfellas. Wiseguys.

Who was it? One of Tony's crew?

I laughed. I'm sure it was a tongue in cheek in joke.

it was Big Pussy

What makes you say that

What did he mean by this
His life was pretty good

Chrissy was one of the strongest characters. I grew up on Long Island with relatives in Queens. He always reminded me of my relatives.
They all self destructed, just like Chrissy. Some shot in drug deals. Some ruined their health with drugs Artie Lange style. Some ruined themselves with alcohol. Just a whole generation of people that had no place in the post 70s Jew dominated US. To me this is partialy what the Sopranos is about.

they cut to him right after Chris finishes the story
also it is in line with his character

These two?
They sucka eacha others cocks

giv one thousand dollar

Damn

so what, I'm just another victim of Benny Fazio, criminal mastermind?
yeah

I don't like that kind of talk!

>that's how good looking this broad used to look

somebody this anti-faggot wouldn't say that when he just said it was a major disgrace to fuck a tranny or find one attractive. and wouldn't call "her" a broad anymore either.

Yeah but he wasn't talking to any mob figure. It was fucking Jon favreu. For the sake of the story too, it was better to keep that fact hidden until the full reveal.

t. autistic fag

Chrissy is one the the best characters, even by the end when he was a psycho I still cared about him

The way they build the backstory of Chris and Tony's relationship is flawless, especially around S5 when you hear firsthand accounts of how it used to be between the Two Tonys and Chris. He always had the inferiority complex, which led to overinflated ego, which led to him trying to balance absurdly cocky power moves with horrible drug addiction with his rat fiancee, which led to his inevitable demise.

One of those things where, on rewatch, you wonder why you never saw it coming. But that's just the kind of brilliant writing this show is renowned for.

No one's death effected me as much as Chrissy's. There are characters who deserved it much less than him but still. And it's not like they did it out of nowhere. There were many times I felt Tony would get him whacked. Many times where I thought he'd fuck up and get shot. I don't even know anyone like him. I've lived a fairly sheltered life and apart from a cousin (who was like an elder brother to me and died driving drunk) haven't seen young death. But there was such an honesty to his character that it almost made everyone else look like a TV character although they were very well written too.

UP IN THE CLUB

>post 70s Jew dominated US
Why are Sup Forumstards so uneducated about the shit they talk about nonstop? If you think the Jews have ever run the US, you'd realize it dated back way further than the 70s.

They say theres no two people on earth exactly the same. No two faces. No two sets of fingerprints. But do they know that for sure? Cause they would have to get everybody together in one huge space. And obviously thats not possible, even with computers. Not only that, theyd have to get all the people who ever lived, not just the ones now. So they got no proof. They got nothing. Mrs. Soprano may have passed, but whos to say there isnt another Mrs. Soprano just like her, or will be? Maybe not with the same fears and paranoia but the same. What Im saying is........................

That song gets me everytime. Kek.

YO IT'S THAT ZIP FURIO

Unironically one of the most beautiful and haunting quotes of the whole show

Chrissy is my favorite character, maybe tied with Tony but I can't relate to Tony. Chrissy trying to make it big doing legit things without giving up his mob rep breaks my heart

You guys wana soda or somn?

>And obviously thats not possible, even with computers.
There are so many lines like this in the show that are just perfect

>>post 70s Jew dominated US
I think what he meant was that the US got a lot more sterile and safe after the 70s. Jews are just a representation for that.

How do you feel about his complete idiocy though? He tried to be a screenwriter out of self-importance and vanity, and he could barely type a coherent sentence. And he was also a heartless piece of shit who brutally murdered his NA sponsor who was trying to help him the whole time. Not saying it isn't heartbreaking, but it's not like he didn't deserve his death more than anyone else who got it

>the US got a lot more sterile and safe after the 70s
Sterile? We've only gotten more oversexed and degenerate with each passing decade.

that's why times square is a disney store now right?
fuck off retard

>He tried to be a screenwriter out of self-importance and vanity, and he could barely type a coherent sentence.

The reason he never succeeded at anything is because he grew up in the mob, and he tried to solve all his problems by being a tough guy. He knew he WANTED to be a writer, he knew he WANTED to be creative, but he never had anyone teach him to follow his dreams or experiment, he just saw a lifestyle he wanted to emulate and got frustrated when his usual methods couldn't get him the same results that a real writer got. He though the world worked like the mob, that he could just cheat and bully his way wherever he went and still get the same respect as someone who actually worked hard at those things, and he never understood what the difference was between himself and a hard worker, not even before he died

>a jewish tv show is about how jews made the US bad

somehow I doubt it

>using 5 square blocks in NYC as a microcosm of the entirety of the United States of America
I can't believe people like you even watched this show

>rëddit's favorite episode

No we haven't, the 80s were the peak of degeneracy. People may be having more casual sex now (I'm not sure that's the case) but we're a lot more mature about sex and drugs than we were back then.

well it wasn't so obvious until the post 70s

Happy now, autismo?

You can love a piece of shit.

there are still hookers and shit down there though

>chrissy actually had really good aim in every gunfight or shooting scene he's in

I didn't know kids as young as 10 were walking around back in the 80s with the means of accessing free high-definition pornography in the palms of their hands. I also didn't know transgenderism was celebrated and the White House was lighting itself up in Gay Pride colors.

We've fallen so far that people (like yourself) don't know which direction is up anymore.

just because he couldn't type doesn't mean he couldn't write, he thought up Cleaver and he was clever and creative in general. plus he could act.
>his NA sponsor
degenerate gambler who pushed it way too far and didn't know his place

That's a good point, and it always reminds me of him taking those acting classes. He legit BTFO every other actor in that class, because he actually was a sensitive and creative soul, much like Tony. It's part of the tragedy that is the lifestyle of The Sopranos at large I guess. But I can't help but hold him responsible for all the sickening, abhorrent shit he did throughout the whole series, especially the way he treated Adriana. He's just another victim of the mafia, which is a theme I feel like the show is constantly shoving down your throat the whole time. You can't even come in the slightest contact with the mob without having some part of your life/soul utterly ruined. That said, I love Christopher and I feel as bad for him as you do. Particularly when you see him relapsing after trying to get clean, he's just weak and confused and lost. Making a flim called "Cleaver" about a homicidal mafia zombie, to come to terms with him gorily dismembering two human beings for a boss that he thought was fucking the girl he loved.

Like Chrissy wasn't a degenerate...

one of my favorite little details in the show. chrissy handled shit

i love most of the characters. genuinely dont understand people complaining about the show citing tony or pauly or whoever as unlikable.

only thing i dislike about the sopranos was the that there is a bit too much monologuing from tony at melfi's office. the show'd be better if you cut melfi's time in half.

Porn access is just technological advancement. People in the 70s would've been watching just as much porn as us if they had the access. 70s porn had way higher production value than most porn today.

Transgenderism wasn't "celebrated" because it wasn't possible to pass off as another gender back then so you inevitably looked hideous. People wanting to be another gender than what they were born as has existed as long as society has. As for being openly gay, I think it's way more degenerate to have a wife and kids and go on fishing trips with your buddy where you suck him off than being openly gay.

never said he wasn't but don't act like that writer guy was any better, he was just a pusy

>You can't even come in the slightest contact with the mob without having some part of your life/soul utterly ruined.
This was hammered home through Dr. Melfi.

Yeah I respected him and thought he was legit after when bevilaqua and the other guy attacked him. He was always ready to fight

I feel like you're missing part of the point of the show then. It's chronicling Tony's spiral into utter amorality. The scenes with Melfi are the only scenes where you hear him being completely honest, surrounded by scenes where he is lying to and manipulating literally everyone around him. You see right into his tortured mind. Those scenes are the core of the show.

this

> the show'd be better if you cut melfi's time in half.

You take that back.

>gets a clean headshot on the guy when he just took two bullets in the gut and arm and he's aiming with his left instead of right
FUCKIN' SEATBELT

tony was an unlikable faggot exactly because of melfi. they say that the more you understand somebody, the more you will sympathize with them, which is why a lot of fiction likes to explain evil character backstories so that you will be interested in anti-heroes who would otherwise just be boring bad guys.

tony flips this shit upside down for me though because the more I knew about his retarded justifications, the more he just seemed like a selfish, emotionally immature dumbass. all these idiot wops in the show think they are somehow moralfags and muh catholic jesus is their patron, they call people they don't like scumbags etc. while drowning dudes like rats in bathtubs

the hypocrisy and lack of self awareness is just obnoxious, especially with tony.

God that was fucking hilarious

>And I don't like to miss the national anthem.

This finook deserved better.

no i get it, and they are good but for me it's too much. ive seen the series probably 6 times so i dont appreciate it and often feel like skipping it. i see it as much more of a comedy now that i know the characters and events clearly

>The scenes with Melfi are the only scenes where you hear him being completely honest,
I agree with your overall point but Tony was just as manipulative around Melfi as any other time. He was honest at times but overall he wanted Melfi to respect him and would spin the narrative to make himself look good even when he knew he wasn't. He liked Melfi too much to really show her his weaknesses and insecurities.
One of the best parts of the show were seeing him struggle between treating her like a therapist and a woman he wanted to fuck.

...

This

Fair enough, that was probably condescending of me. On my third watch now, still wrapped up in the fucked up drama of it. But even you must still appreciate Gandolfini's world-class acting in those scenes. To see an actor of that caliber deliver such meaty emotional monologues is a really special thing.

Also very true, hammered home in season 6. I also feel like he treats therapy as a confessional, and also seeks her approval a little in a maternal sort of way, different from him just trying to fuck some side bitch.

>"My bottom line was impacted!"
>"I know Vito's bottom was impacted."

Why was Phil always given the best lines?

>all these idiot wops in the show think they are somehow moralfags...while drowning dudes like rats in bathtubs
You got what the writers were trying to tell you. The characters talk about family and respect and act like they're just doing the job for their children, and maybe they really do believe in all of those things, by at the end of the day they're all murderers and have all done horrible things to people who didn't deserve it.

>waaaaaa Jews are why I'm not successful, not my lazy, entitled attitude and low IQ
yep, it's white trash alright

>Let me tell you a couple of three things.

>post 70s Jew dominated US
What the fuck do Jews have to do with people fucking their own lives up?

>different from him just trying to fuck some side bitch.
Oh definitely. She was much more than an object of sexual desire for him. He was legitimately in love with her at times. And she with him too.

Because he was the actual alpha of the group. The best looking. The most athletic. The strongest. The wittiest. What he wasn't was conniving and manipulative. Or tactful. Which is why he would never be the boss.

There was that but I think the show was also trying to show you how easy it is to sympathize and even root for people like them. Shows how if you had been part of their crew you probably wouldn't have taken a moral stand either.

> What the fuck do Jews have to do with people fucking their own lives up?
nothing, goy. nothing at all.

Artie Bucco and his wife not only hammered the point but explicitly pointed it out multiple times.

Are you trying to imply most of my problems are my own fault?

Artie and his wife didn't have "slight" contact with the mob though did they? They were highly engrossed with them. For Melfi, Tony was just a patient. She didn't even know who his friends were.

>Whatever happened to restaurants?

he was always skirting death. There comes a point in every season where Chrissy is almost killed by gunfire starting with the fake execution in season 1

Most tragic character coming through

>he is making a mockery of the sacrament of marriage

didn't they all have side bitches lmao?

also was Johnny cakes the best goomar?

>To the victor belongs the spoils

What did he mean by that?

>coconut pizza

do americans really do this?

Koreans are worse.

He was probably the best character in the show.

Wtf nigga the office scenes were the most patrician parts of the show.

You totally would

Charmaine has constantly told Artie that he shouldn't let Tony run up ridiculous amounts on his tab that they point out he NEVER makes payments on. Artie also made some rebuild/naming decisions to cater to the brutish element of Tony's crew, above her protests. Also every time Artie grew some balls and hid something from his wife, he ended up getting the shit beaten out of him because he's just a cook, not a thug. The thug may be able to afford a meal better than the cook, but when the thug runs out of people or physical capacity to assert his power, the enemies crowd around him before eternal darkness.

Europeans can't live in a Jew dominated culture. it's as simple as that
