Does anyone else hate this fag? He ruins the whole mystery and dark mature greatness of batman, whoever came up with an idea of batman having a sidekick must be retarded. Seriously there is a reason why batmans best games, shows and films don't include him
Does anyone else hate this fag? He ruins the whole mystery and dark mature greatness of batman...
Dick becomes the best Batman, get over it.
Robin's in the Arkham games, animated series, Lego movie and in the Nolan trilogy (kinda). What Batman media do you like that doesn't have him?
Robin came out a year after Batman. How can you complain about wanting Batman to be solo when out of his 78 years of existence, 77 of them included Robin.
I don't consider him a Robin in the dark Knight trilogy and I admit I didn't research enough on the rest. But how can you take a badass ninja detective of the night seriously when he's being followed by a 10yo colorful kid
How can you take a manchild dressed up as a bat fistfighting a clown seriously?
But what about his luscious gams?
Are you twelve?
Most of he Robins were 16ish when they joined Batman now. Except Damian Wayne who has the advantage of being some kind of genetic experiment of the League of Assassins. I do also hate that little fuck.
C'mon man we both know Robin kills a bit realism in batman
I can't even enjoy most of the latest animated films cause of that little shit
Batman has absolutely no realism at all, are you joking?
I'm taking about the whole gritty realism and tone of gotham
Nightwing is the only good thing that came out of it
>batman 66
>dark mature
Alright Jason Todd was a slum kid who's parent's OD'd and he had to steal to survive. Batman found him jacking the tires on the Batmobile. There's also some stuff about him maybe being a child prostitute. He takes him in as Robin, only he's naturally violent and rebellious. He ends up getting murdered by the Joker. Later coming back as a guy who fights crime by killing criminals.
How much more gritty do you want?
>Muh dark, gritty and serious Batman
Its about a man dressed as a Bat, grow up
You could say the same about every other hero if you over simplified it like that, and I'm talking about the comics universe not Real life
>entire character is built around youthful boyishness
>those forearms
Jesus christ
It's all to be taken in context. Dick was the result of a young Batman trying to give a young guy the chance he never had, in having a proper childhood after having his parents taken away. It led to the Robin character somewhat organically as Dick gets older. The other Robins lacked a lot of this context, Batman took them on for differing reasons, with the most common in that he was looking for a protegy, rather than someone to offer a second chance to.
Now, when you see a Batman like Afflecks character, he's through all that.
>robin takes it up the shitter
I fucking knew it
Robin's great. Bo staffs are cool
>But how can you take a badass ninja detective of the night seriously when he's being followed by a 10yo colorful kid
By being a 10yo, the age group that comic books are for.
That's true. Capeshit was always meant for kids whether you want to accept it or not. Yes even the incredibly overhyped Dark Knight.
Did they ever do a run where Bruce tutors Dick in the Greek fashion?
(sex)
I think Dick was Batman giving himself a second chance through Dick. Jason was out of compassion for a boy who had nothing. Tim was his protégé. Damian was his shitty son that got the spot out of nepotism.
I dunno man, I maintain since Dick, he's been looking for a Robin
>Jason was out of compassion for a boy who had nothing. Tim was his protégé.
The problem with these two is how quickly they were thrown in to being Robin, Jason in particular. Tim you could argue was Bruce being strong armed in to allowing Tim the role, but I think with everyone besides Dick, he was doing it for selfish reasons. I'd love if the DCEU plays in to that, but it's likely we'll only get Jason as a Red Hood arc and maybe a Carrie Kelly nod towards the end of Batman's arc.
I don't keep up with the Batman stories. Did his son Damien Wayne ever become Robin?
Made me remember the lost Wayans brother Robin
Also yes
Comics are for everyone
