you're not the fucking boss of me

IM IN CHARGE HERE

The Vengeance Trilogy is really what you're looking for: SYMPATHY FOR MR VENGEANCE/ OLD BOY / SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE. It's Korean and by Park Chan-Wook who also made The Handmaiden.

You also might want to check out "Joint Security Area." It's by the same guy, and I think several actors from I Saw The Devil are also in it.

Don't think it's cause I like you or anything.

It's gonna be the same 20 or so movies that are always posted

im waiting for some stuff user, nobody mentions A dirty carnival

Did south korean cinema die or smth there was a huge amount of great movies and now it's barely even 1 good one in years.

the directors died out and new ones tried emulating the jrock kpop scene too much with faggy haircuts and style which lost the edgyness, also the spread of hollywood style movies being made :( no more diversity

The Handmaiden was cool, I just enjoy Park.
The Wailing is a fantastic Horror film and in my top five films of last year.
Train to Busan was meh, but still worth mentioning.

All three of these films came out in 2016.

korean action/revenge films are my favourite, I wish someone would make some new ones

Seen all three and didn't enjoy them as much. If they were in another language I wouldn't have checked them at all probably. Only Train of Busan.

none of them were good, youre just a film chimp

You should watch The Yellow Sea ( 2010).
Had a blast from beginning to the end, korean master kino.

Also inside men and coin locker girl the year before.

We lost Lee Byung-Hun(OP actor) to hollywood remake shit he was in The magnificent seven and Terminator Genisys as opposed to korean movies

the man from nowhere

It was extravagant fucking shit in the vein of Oldboy. Memories of murder, the Chaser or Mother are ten times better than these terrible movies.

NEW WORLD
best fight scene I've ever seen

dumping the Sup Forums collections

...

The Good the Bad the Ugly was real fun and has the same actor from OP so you might like it OP. I'm a Cyborg, But that's okay was also pretty good. The other I Can't think of but it was a WWII period movie that I liked as well had some really great action scenes.

Stupid movie.

>stupid
can't into buddhist philosophy

Inside Men is a very unfortunate name

The Good, the Bad, the Weird?

>The Good, the Bad, the Weird?
Thats the one, just before he became a hollywood sellout

I Saw The Devil was retarded and is extremely overrated.

"haha you killed my wife and are constantly killing others, i'm going to keep letting you go so you can do the same thing to other people that you did to me"

Yes user they literally discuss that during the movie

>The WWII one.

My Way (Mai Wei)?

>haha
what's funny? are you autistic by any chance

Is there a similar list for Japan or Hong Kong classics from the 80s ?

not that im aware of

Why are Sup Forums talking about korean movies which are only crime or thriller.

It's trash.

Glad to see The Chaser at the top of that list, might be one of the best crime films I've ever seen.

Chaser
Bedevilled
Bittersweet life
Jsa
Taegukgi
My sassy girl
Spring summer winter

It was based on a true story what?

very remotely (most was made up) and that made it kinda generic

did you even watch it

it's on netflix

how the fuck was it generic?
the only thing like it is Zodiac and that is fucking excellently directed as well

...

>Too generic

Do I need to prove more that you a pleb?

Its a shit to a some degree. I takes place in a made up environment

...

how on earth did he get the camera to move like that

is this some weird chinese custom?

Yes, its called scissors

It's just circling them. Do you think that's new or something?

Meant for

i know but fitting a huge ass camera into a car(moving?) how is he standing in there with a huge camera, like whats the setup?

The car i not moving (screens) and there is no roof

You shoot it in a studio and cut off the frame, roof, and windows above the door.

The Yellow Sea is fucking good.

pleb.

i remember it being something like grinding teeth. seems strange.

O-jik geu-dae-man - Always
and Castaway on the Moon are both very good.

dude how the fuck do any of those resemble Memories of Murder and Zodiac
just because there's a serial killer and detectives? if you didn't notice, Seven was also directed by Fincher and it's nothing like Zodiac

sympathy for mr vengeance
oldboy
+ every film by the dude who made I saw the Devil. They are all great. Watch all of them

more like korean waste of time

what does this I saw the devil have to do with buddhism? Not well versed in buddhism

The Wailing
My favorite from last year. immediately on my list of all time favorite.
japanese demon horror meets korean countryside shenanigans.
i can't believe people aren't talking about this as they do The Handmaiden.

HEY FUCKERS!!!!

TIME TO HIJACK THIS THREAD NEARDS

:)

im looking for a movie
proly korean, maybe by gooks

>guy meets girl
>guy takes pics for hobby or profession
>girl is actually an ex after a lot of plastic surgery
>i also remember a beach with some sculptures

TASKETEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!111!!!!!one

>mummy for your touble

this

you mean like that 2 parter episode of Friends with Julia Roberts?

no idea about those friends episodes

in Friends, Chandler meets a beautiful woman who later we find out was ugly and that Chandler played some horrible prank on her when they were kids 20 years ago, and they're dating and then she does the same prank to him and bails as revenge. What was the korean movie about? Was the woman trying to get together with the man, was she pretending but after revenge, what?

pretty sure it was a drama
and the girl really wanted to be with him
i think the guy got scared when he found out and though the girl had issues and left her
something like that

Must be confused with A bittersweet life, same actor

oh look a nice thread about movies, let's call someone reddit

reddit should really be wordfiltered to Sup Forums
