What order should I watch the entire Planet of the Apes film series?

What order should I watch the entire Planet of the Apes film series?

Release order, same as anything.

same order as star wars

with Hidden Figures replacing Rogue One

If you're just interested in the new ones, you don't even have to watch the old ones. But if you want to watch them all, release order is the way to go.

Planet of the Apes
Beneath the Planet of the Apes
Escape from the Planet of the Apes
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
Battle for the Planet of the Apes
[End of Original Series]

Planet of the Apes, 2001 reboot
[This one doesn't link up with any of the others, so you could consider it skippable]

Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
War for the Planet of the Apes

this. but skip the burton one. not related. not worth it. terrible.

Kek

That is a picture of Neil Young from the mid-60's.

Escape from the Planet of the Apes is the last good movie from the original series. The rest are trash.

I would go with the new series first. Then the original series. And skip the reboot.

Release order, obviously.

youre one of my favourite posters here famm

id say just go with the originals, the rest literally suck ass and are so cgid, their like a pixar movie

Just skip all the bad ones
Then you only have to watch one movie and you saved yourself a lot of time

Why would anybody willingly watch these retarded ape movies?

I agree. Why would anybody watch anything

> skipping the Burton one

fix that fucking window for christ's sake

this. i only watch dog movies.

Just go to Detroit or Chicago

What's your favorite kanine kino?

I actually thought Conquest of the Planet of the Apes was the best of the sequels. But yeah, Battle blows.

See it's kind of a guilty pleasure for me. It came out when I was in 8th grade and I was obsessed with it. It was the first movie I saw multiple times in the theaters and it inspired me to read the original novel around the same time. I can see it's problems but it's still hard for me to hate it. Also, 8th grade me was a little too interested in the cutie chimp-fu.

Fuck

Is that Janet Jackson?

no love for the 70s cartoon series?

Skip Tim Burton. Shitty director, shitty movie

Watch the first 5, the documentary, then the newer ones.
Do not watch the 2001 remake.

most savage comment I've read on Sup Forums in a long time desu haha

So what the fuck happened in the later original films. I saw a trailer for one of them and it was Apes in the modern day enslaved to humans. How did that happen ?

There's a documentary?

It's called Behind The Planet of the Apes, and it goes over the making of the first 5 films, including makeup and personal issues. Also explains why Charleton Heston was barely in the second movie

it's set in the past, similarly to current series
>after cats and dogs die, intelligent apes become new pets
>there's a particularly smart one, Ceaser
>and he leads the revolt
