ITT: Good films accidentally made by hack directors

...

but thats his worst film

>Inglourious Basterds

Pan's Labyrinth
LotR

Someone didn't watched the Oats Studio shorts.

Can't top this quality disparity bitches.

Unless you post La Haine I guess.

>but thats his worst film
most people love it, but that's okay it's your personal opinion. you don't have to like it

...

He has literally never made a good movie.

Good ones but what else has Peter Jackson made besides LotR and the Hobbit trilogies (both of which were masterpieces)

Don't be a contrarian.
Chappie and Elyisum are dire.

Fpbp

Hobbit 3 and most of 2 are shit. He also did braindead and King Kong (05) which are pretty good in my opinion.

...

as somebody how fuckign loves LotR and has watched the trilogy dozens of times, let me say that the Hobbit films are absolute shit

Unironically this.

Refn's weakest.

> the Hobbit
> masterpiece
> not knowing about Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles and Braindead

I know I'm falling for shitty bait but
go fucking kill yourself

Braindead is his best film.

Hellboy movies are good

I heard the main character's actor ad libbed the entire thing.

Back to Plebbit with this one. What a waste digits.

Frost/Nixon

Trips of truth I'm afraid

>implying Bad Taste isn't kino

Why doesn't Refn just fucking give up trying to tell edgy narratives and focus on his backwards formalism. Drive was his best because it was relatively dialogue free. The documentarian parts of Bronson were also better rather than him trying to either do 100% dialogue or 100% music video movie time.

this shit for sure. coppola is such a hack bros

you guy should watch more refn if you think these come close to anything he's done in the past.

The pusher films were garbage m8

I really like D9, but his others are better films.

The "There and Back Again" fan edit salvages all the good parts, but even that is mediocre. There is no fixing those travesties

delete this you fucking pleb

How long is that edit?

This tbqh (to be quite honest)

>Return

I just realized I have two diff versions, the David Killstein one is good, clocks in at 3:09:00

The other one has a bit more fluff and clocks in at 4:21:00

both are probably on TPB

Personally I prefer the killstein one
