Prequel.

Yeah, I remember a comic called "Patrick Grey" a while back, I think I quite liked it and it wrapped itself up too.
It was semi-autobiographical but not in a too self-absorbed way - at least, not to my pre/early-teen mind at the time.
Entirely gone I think.

Buttlord GT.

Webcomics are weird, they always die good or last long enough to become horrible.

oh, I just found it
patrickgreyonline.wordpress.com/

it's not very good!

It was pretty good, until it got close to the end.

God of Destruction. Dead for like six years. If it was still going, you assholes would never shut up about it.

I'm actually having a hard time finding a single page that's shocking and interesting. It's all about the context.

...

I miss Dominic Deegan. We will never get the bonus chapter.

Lucid TV

Single Asian Fem... Erm, I mean, Checkerboard Nightmare.

Artist went off the fucking rails and wrote themselves into a corner and just dropped it I guess.
Like I have NO IDEA what happened, it was a standard slice of life comic with an interesting story, then some fat cunt starts stabbing everyone out of nowhere.

>ryan armand is homeless and kiwis by beat might never come back

Cheap Thrills. The art was great by the time the creator disappeared off the face of the internet.
You would have thought that someone who had been doing it for so long, someone would know about her or keep in contact but fuckin nothing. Said she was ending it, would answer some questions but nah.

After a fake April's fools end, it's technically alive, but slow like always.

The first arc got collected into TPB and the second arc actually got started and then nothing. It's worth a read, Reyyy's work is often overlooked

Whoops forgot my image

Loxie and Zoot/The Bare Pit

Buttlord isn't entirely dead; it's just updating realllly slowly. I think one of the two creators recently had a kid and was like "no more time for hobbies for a few years!" and while the other dude is keeping it going, it's pretty sporadic. The last page was about three weeks ago. Pic related.

I can't even remember the name of it. All I know is that it was heavily juvenile in humor, about a bunch of teenage dudes, had an alien as a main character, had one of those stereotypical retarded autismos, and some sort of parody of I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Does anyone know this comic? I've been searching for it for years.

Always thought the Prequel threads were more entertaining than the actual comic, to be honest.

Buttlord GT was complete and finished anyway, so it couldn't really be bad.

However, Heavy Hittaz was left unfinished (and all archives are missing the last pages), and so was Buttlord Kids.

Castle of Nations

It was not a webcomic I enjoyed, but I was surprised to find out recently that Real Life basically just unceremoniously died.

Do web comics that I don't remember what they were about count? Cause after 15 or so years I'm still trying to track one down that was about Counter Strike, was either in game screenshots or machinima, and had one guy that kept going "flashbang out" then fucking over his own team. I could never find it again afterwards

Does anyone remember A Divine Dramedy?

>MSPA Forums died
>So many good Forum Adventures died with it

Boxer Hockey

dude the artist is doing sone diesel comic.

Fake jojo diesel?

HiNaBN

GOD I miss that art.

>It'll never be finished
>they atleast put all of it inside of a zip file

Man I'm glad spite comics died.

I can't say it was my favorite, but one dead webcomic I read when I was younger was called "Stubble". It was made by the guy who would go on to only be remembered for the comic about Doug raping Patty (Honk honk.).

It's available via the Wayback Machine, I believe. I wouldn't be surprised if most websites were.

This might be what you're looking for.

I like that art style. Sad to see it's dead before learning it was alive.

Fifteen or so years ago I used to read a weaboo comic called Tomodachi Forever. I searched for it recently and found almost nothing to prove it even existed. There is an unrelated queer webcomic with the same title, though.

BUT WHO WAS PHONE!

seriously though; we were learning the backstory and then nothing. I wanted to know what happened so badly. It's been so long, I used to watch the flashes and everything

I wonder if that chick knows that she's probably one of the most hated people in the world. I wonder if she even knows that they used her photo for that shit.

>This might be what you're looking for.

Yeah, that's an archive of all the ones people made if they bothered to archive it, but it doesn't change the fact that the MSPA crew is so fucking incompetent that they couldn't stop a hacker with 5 days notice. Now every comic that was hosted there is dead in the water since their entire reader base got scattered to the wind

It'll update, someday.

Last updated three months ago; updates before then were still sporadic.

>There is an unrelated queer webcomic with the same title, though.
I did some research, and you may or may not enjoy the results, depending on your opinions: At some point between 2005 and 2014, Katrina Smith transitioned from female to male and changed their name to Kieran James. The "Tomodachi Forever" comic you thought was unrelated is, in fact, a reboot or continuation of the original comic.

Pic related.

Ah. I didn't know about that part.
Honestly, were it not for brief mentions in the last HSGs before the comic actually ended, I'd have forgotten all about the MSPA Forums.

>The "Tomodachi Forever" comic you thought was unrelated is, in fact, a reboot or continuation of the original comic
Interesting. Maybe I'll check it out some time.

Just put pretty much EVERY sprite comic in this thread.
Seriously though, there were alot of genuinly funny ones that actually had care put into editing them, but considering there was SO much shit, Its no surprise they all died off.

what the fuck

i remember this

>Creator openly shares her disgust for not only the fans of the comic but for the comic itself
Yeah not likely.

Who is this bitch and why does she constantly claim the dead? Is she a demon? The reaper? Who?

Wanna see something weird?
Go into almost any old webcomic, if the site is still up, thats been dead at least a few years and look into the forums.
People still fucking posting in there.
pokmonx.proboards.com/thread/85/introduce?page=24
Not too great an example, but I noticed it alot. People just wont let shit stay dead.

Dominic Deegan ended, it's not dead.

And the point at which DD was even passable was less than half of its run.

She does 'Not Drink Enough' now. I think that's what it's called. I didn't get into it after she just disappeared and quietly resurfaced, never said a thing about it.

Eh, I can understand. It's just a hangout. I stuck around my old forum long after I lost interest in the game it was in. It was more about the community then the source material.

kiwis by beat

where art thou?

Drunk*

According to Google: her name is Hannah Steller; the photograph was taken by her brother (a professional photographer) and made stock photography, and Stellar now keeps a quiet profile as a mother.

You can find that on a lot of forums. I think it's a combination of nostalgia, community, comfort.

Yeah, what this guy said.

"Ballad" by deadmouse. I'm not even sure there's backup copies of it.
"The Stiff" by Jason Thompson. he tried to revive it but then just dropped it.

Daisy Owl. Feels like I'm the only one who ever read such a comfy comic.

>threads about new webcomics
>threads about great webcomics
>threads about horrible webcomics
>threads about sjw webcomics
>threads about dead webcomics
>never any threads about your webcomic

m...maybe some day.

I think Sup Forums just ate my post.

...

You want to know something fucking crazy? Final Fantasy Sonic updated YESTERDAY. That shit's still going.

>last update 2010

Fuck you, user

It seemed like a whole bunch of ones died that year.

Jazz hands.

Didn't the comic with the girl named Minis with reality warping powers also finish then? Though it got an ending.

>Final Fantasy Sonic
Holy shit, really?
Damn. If anything, thats dedication.

It's a thread about dead webcomics. It's still a great read. It just leaves on a pseudo cliff-hanger and that sucks.

No Rest for the Wicked

IIRC the artist lived in the Philippines so there was a long hiatus back when there was some serious flooding in, like, 2009? Then a few years ago it came back for a bit, and now it's dead again.

I loved it; the story's a cool mash-up of fairy tales and I like the old manga influence on the art, and you can tell she was really trying to push herself with some pages.

i miss antics comics

>Last updated three months ago; updates before then were still sporadic.
Well it's not completely dead. I'll give it a try

I had thought that she was from the old porn site College Bookbang

Single Asian Female

I've literally never even seen this comic mentioned anywhere.

I don't think it's coming back.

Good ol' Unknown-Person...I miss the glory days of OCTs. Sure, they're still around, but the audience is way smaller and the heavy hitters have long since moved onto other things (like they should, since their time is better spent on more important projects and actual paid work). I remember how fun the first AATR was.

i only remember this guy for the Endzone tournament

there was a comic named Blue Zombie, about magical zombies and witches, it was kinda neat, but the creators split path and shit died

>kiwis by beat
KIWIS IS DOWN??
DID SOMEONE SAVED MINUS??!!

maybe not my favorite, but Trilokan
no trace of it exists. To this day I remember VERY little of it... but I still want it back so goddamn badly.

I will forever be mad that RPG World ended literally right before the final battle.

>internet is forever

only if people can actually remember you

There was a weeb style webcomic "Emiko's Chronicle" or something lik that

Try looking for it, its as if it bever existed

Also Everafter, by Endling, the guy had nice art and ideas, but it never went anywhere and he eventually good a job drawing for some game company

wh-what? they died?

holy shit, that's.. that's a massive tragedy. jeez i guess it's good i read them while I had the chance. it's bizarre knowing that the author is still alive and well and simply isn't putting them back online because he's not feeling well. Can't someone throw money at this guy?

?

derelictcomic.com is still up and the last update was 2 days ago

from the thumbnail i thought that was a topless faun. i am disappoint
how is it even possible for the biggest CYOA forums on the internet to die?

>Also Everafter, by Endling, the guy had nice art and ideas, but it never went anywhere and he eventually good a job drawing for some game company
God I fucking love that artist.
It's a real shame that he only arts professionally now, he has one of the best styles I've ever seen.

People still post in the Count Your Sheep comics every once in a while. It briefly came back from hiatus a few years ago
it doesn't count as dead though

i as well

I heard mine had one once, but it wasn't archived...

>went looking for this because it sounded familiar
>somehow completely forgot about all those deviantart comics and literally everything hosted on snafu comics
>see the site and all the memories come rushing back

weird feeling

I used to love those weird battle royale deviantart things, where everyone drew or animated their characters fighting and one of them got voted the winner and that fight was 'canon'

yeah most of the comics have been saved, not all of them in the highest quality.

they were called OCTs (Original Character Tournaments). they're still around like an earlier user said, just less of an audience and not like it used to be. i'm judging for two of them atm.

cute as balls

I'm drawing a blank, I need your help.

There was an older webcomic, I want to say late 90s. It was made with bendable posable toy animals. There was a strip about a toy sheep who was a shitty waitress and a toy bear or dog who was a software tester. Basically everyone was an awful person all the time.

i just remember thinking cailencrow had some neat-ass ideas and i wished he drew in a style i like better

anyway, who misses Bear and Kitten? I do. Some of it's archived online but not all of it. Not the BEST bit.
>boop

half of the artist that participated on the Endzone are like gone or missing

I recall Haikuninja, she (or he) deleted all the art from his accounts and i heard it hapened again with his/her tumblr

is there an rpg world mirror anywhere? i've always wanted to read it

aw nah man now this thread has gone and made me feel all nostalgic

I miss being 15 and spending all my time looking at dumb (mostly awful anime) webcomics and deviantart pages

:(

I used to read a pixel based comic called A Modest Destiny. It was a fantasy/comedy with some melodramatic storylines but I found it really endearing at the time.

Each chapter of the story got shorter and shorter and shorter and updated less and less frequently. The penultimate storyline ended in 2006 with the author; Sean Howard constantly promising to continue it.

He probably never will.

some of us are still trying to make new ones of those, user

As a veteran of Trollslum and the horrors that ensued there, I highly doubt that.

I've only read a few webcomics
Homestuck is one
I followed RealLifeComics for years

Holy shit it hasn't updated since December
