Any backgroud on this?

lostmedia.wikia.com/wiki/The_Electric_Piper_(2003_Nickelodeon_TV_Movie)

Why Nick doesn't want it released? Also, Rob Schneider is in it; can't be good

Wait, this was lost media?

I distinctly remember a period of time when it was played constantly.

Says on the wiki that it wasn't released on video and the full movie wasn't available anywhere online. That's all it takes to qualify as "lost media."

Nah, I get that.

I'm still shocked, though.

Just watched it, it's pretty good for a TV movie, Rodney Dangerfield is pretty good as the rat king.

Because Nickelodeon sucks and you now this.

Maybe fewer people thought to record it because it was running constantly

Because I never would have heard about it if it wasn't for you memelords.

Cool

Neat.

Wheres the porn?

ROB SCHNEIDER IS A PIPER

BUT HE'S ABOUT TO LEARN

THAT BEING A PIPER

IS NO BLOWOFF.

Because there was a thread about it yesterday.
That also no one cared about.

Supposedly some of the songs were too close to famous songs for the lawyers comfort.
I didn't know anybody who ever saw it. Heck, people thought it was still in development or was a MLAATR movie for a few years because thenonly info on it was a title on Frederators website.

Lost media, by LMW standards just means it can't be obtained by any normal means (DVD, VHS, YouTube, torrents, etc.) not necessarily that even its creators/owners have lost it, as the term commonly means when used by more traditional scholars and archivists.

The wiki's standards are practical. There are plenty of shows that are effectively lost media for us because CN or Nick won't sell anything.

Crazy stuff.

Mediocre stuff but still surprising something in 03 could be lost.

I don't like reading about lost media. It makes me depressed.

bump for interest

bump

Finally.

Any ladies worth sketching smut of to be found in this?

Radical bump

Not really. Some if the moms maybe?

None nows.

>remember those "Astrology With Squidward" shorts that played frequently when Spongebob started
>they're now lost media

It's freaky enough knowing something that aired on TV is lost, especially in an age where every minute banal thing is archived. Having seen that something, especially something that was just an ad, is downright spoopy.

seems like none of this long-lost stuff lives up to the hype
i wish pic related was never found

I'm glad it's found

...

Weren't they gonna re-air it or something?

Rude Removal was pretty good. It was like getting a new episode of Dexter after all these years.

>that kid fucking dies

...Shit.

This was pretty good

Thanks a ton for bringing this to my attention, I really like the songs in this and I've been listening to bit and clips of it where I could find them. Now I can listen to it all the time.

I actually like the story too, you don't really see any modern renditions of Pied Piper. Cool stuff.

They were asked to re-release it by someone who worked on it but nick legal didn't think thet had enough rights to use the songs

...

>not only can he warp reality and time but he can also bring the dead back to life

Is there any Nicktoon who can beat Sly?

I liked that they took the Pied Piper and
A) didn't make him a pedo
B) actually made him sympathetic while remaining flawed

>that strand of gray hair
hnngh

Man, don't drag me back to my autistic shared Nicktoons universe idea, user. Don't tempt me.

Best rare movie?

Has anyone spliced all the songs into separate files (well) yet?

Some autist has already beat you to it, and the mods are sick of it.

Very well, user.

neat

1969 Fat Albert TV special when?

lostmedia.wikia.com/wiki/Hey,_Hey,_Hey,_It's_Fat_Albert_(Lost_Primetime_1969_Special)

Rated PG-13.

Probably a few years after Cosby dies.

Enough for the world to forget and nostalgia to kick in.

In the same day that A day with Spongebob premieres

The director is actually making a kickstarter for that.

Link?

FUCK I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR FOREVER. THE FUCKING SONGS ARE STILL STUCK IN MY HEAD.

>dub date
what does that mean

imgur.com/a/SDS6H

If Sai was basically omnipotent, why did he want to get paid a motorcycle? Couldn't he just make his own?

He wanted to teach the mayor a lesson

My first time watching it. It's okay. I wish sly was in it more. He stole the show. Very mediocre film except for Sly.

The date it was copied onto that DVD, I would presume.

I like that too. They didn't make him a creep and made sure to establish the fact that the children weren't so happy with how things were going in the first place, and that's what helped make ther decision to follow Sly.

Now I only wish that we had a high quality version and the offical sountrack, but I'm pretty happy with what we have compared to practically nothing before.

Very nice, I appreciate how you made them wallpaper sized, and the logo especially. Thanks for uploading these.

Holy FUCK. I've been trying to remember the name of this movie for years!

I included the .ai files as well so people can resize and use them for anything

Also here is the soundtrack all packed up by itself

mega.nz/#!xUoCGIJZ!x5TH3DF1Q_QdrK8fbNkWco2MO9J7Z9DERyr4CIu3plI

Is it just ripped from the video?

Yea sadly. I thought about using the We gotta climb the mountain that was found but it wasn't the final cut so I used the one from the movie.
Hopefully once the DVD version gets ripped it will be higher quality and I'll probably remake the music if the audio is better as well.

...

Very cool, I didn't notice it before. It feels like making a shirt or something would be over the top, but I'm glad I have the option to.

Thank you for all your hard work. You're missing the instrumental jazz sequence when their parents were young, but technically that was just a few seconds.

I noticed, although maybe I just can't see it, but the track order isn't there. Nice title choices by the way, made it easy to sort through.

For those who want it, the order is:

1. Hamlin
2. Mick's Song
3. I Smell A Rat
4. Move Back You Rat
5. Brand New Me
6. When You Hire Me
7. Rat Town USA
8. F.S.R. (Fabulous Swimming Rats)
9. We Gotta Climb The Mountain
10. London on the Moon
11. Sly's The Guy
12. When They Come
13. Happy Re-birthday (Little Hamlin Town)
14. End Credits

Does this mean we're eventually going to get a DVD rip?

Is there somewhere where these guys are congregating about this movie? I'm pretty phyched if that means we're gonna get a DVD version sooner or later

Is the DVD confirmed getting ripped? As much as I appreciate the VHS rip, I wish people knew how to handle interlaced footage when capturing.

I added the ordering to them. Did mega mess that up?

The person with the disc had their macbook's motherboard fail on them today when they were going to rip it so they have to use another computer. I'll keep everyone updated on when it happens. Worse case scenario they will have to mail it to me to try and rip. Also they said it was very scratched up.

Also the album art should be embedded if it's not

>taking this for granted & not remembering the days of trading VHS tapes if you ever wanted to see a rare movie

Gol durn kids.

Ah, I understand what happened. Since I didn't extract the files, it didn't show me that there was numbering. Sorry about that, everything is like you said it is.

Will you be posting here again when you've managed to grab the DVD rip or will you be posting somewhere else?

>Nick Dixon
>Mick Janice

An engagement with consecutive digits

check em

Ahh good. I'll post here with updates as well about the DVD rip. Hopefully they can tomorrow but they are also busy as they are in a musical right now/just got back from being in a musical.

I have been waiting for this moment for fucking ever.

Thank you, Sup Forums.

youtube.com/watch?v=kwDR6Sovsok

I have been looking for this movie for ten fucking years.

It's honestly a lot catchier than I'd have thought

For a tv movie, the songs are surprisingly good.

near as I can tell this is some 60s era reimagining of the pied piper. Which is appropiate enough I guess but I can't help but remember how in some versions of that story the piper doesn't run off to live in some private fairy land with the kids.

he fucking has them dance into the surf and drown.

I can't decide if Sly is less or more fucked up.

I'm pretty sure he keeps the fucking kids in a constantly mindfucked high for decades leaving their parents to constantly suffer knowing their kids are alive and near but they'll likely never see them again.

honestly not the worst fate you could imagine, I doubt the kids are subjected to horrific shit and they're alive at least.

Sli seems like a fairy prince, from the old tales. The ones where they take your name or your eyes or force you to live as their servant for an afternoon and you come back to find 60 years have passed.

It's like a Johnny Bravo episode.

Is this OC?

Really picks up after the second act.

I'll be checking out the movie. It came out in 2003, near the tail-end of "good Nickelodeon" when they were still somewhat fun and creative.

Ever since Cyma zarghami took over in 2006, it's been mostly just Flash and Cgi crap, post-movie Spongebob, and tweencoms spammed for hours on end. She ruined this network.

He wanted the mayor to choose between his old life and the sterile new one.

By taking the children he made the parents acknowledge how suffocating their lives were.

No it only aired on tv twice, on the same day even. I watched it both times but I still couldn't remember most of it until re-watching it now

>babysat for my cousin's kids earlier this year
>several episodes of Sam and Kat in a row
Why on Earth would you take the dumb people from two casts and put them together as headliners in their own show?
How can anyone take Ariana Grande seriously?

It's funny, there's probably a lot of "lost media" that people have been looking for (i.e. a specific Nickelodeon bumper), and someone out there more than likely has probably recorded it and has it sitting on a VHS tape in their attic right now.

Yet, much of the time, they either don't realize that what they have is rare as it is, or they can't be arsed to find a capture card and upload the tapes to YouTUbe.

I like that they made the mayor sort of sympathetic in not wanting to pay Sly. Usually in pied piper stories the mayor is just a greedy fuck, but Nick just didn't want to part with an keepsake that had a lot of sentimental value to him.

>Wayne Brady as Sly

Of fucking course.

I thought most Fat Albert stuff is lost forever.

I vaguely remember this.

Bump
