/tpg/ - Twin Peaks General

>"where the fuck is the new thread bros" edition

Windom for the win

That ending, absolute kino. The old man knows how to direct.

I can't sleep because I keep thinking about tonight's episode. I'm not sure I've ever been this LYNCHED.

>just about broke free of being dougie
>doesn't

FUCK YOU LYNCH
Also another episode without bad coop makes me sad. Still a good episode overall.

Shelly never grew up. Kinda bummed me out to see but I guess that's her

the Gersten Hayward cameo was cute

Also she pushed her own irresponsibility onto her daughter.

Where the fuck was she? I saw her name in the credits but didn't remember seeing her anywhere

I bet 100% he never goes back to being himself, when he gets merged with agent coop he live in the other dimension or just disappear.

Returning Coop would just be shitty writing and turn him into a mary sue.

evil coop*

*blocks your path*

THE GIRLS

She's the girl Becky's husband is cheating on her with. They were in the stairway when Becky was shooting the door.

On the stairwell with Steven, Becky's boyfriend

HE'S DEAD

Episode 18

Candie is best girl this season

>implying dougie isn't an actual Mary sue

was she also the mom in the minivan of the kid who shot the gun? i cant remember how she looked but i thought at the time it was the same lady who was with steven

husband

Why are Twin Peaks fans so arrogant and full of themselves?

Fuck yeah she is.

Candy can see into the future, that end when she is talking about traffic is actually that gunshot accident. Which explains why she isn't there.

Windom Earle gets too much hate imo
He was a little too over-the-top at points but he also managed to be pretty consistently frightening and unpredictable in Twin Peaks and that takes a lot

because this show is better than GoT

>The old man knows how to direct.

Seriously though. Lynch has proven he can be continually surprising and innovative, but it also shouldn't be overlooked just how well made this season is. Great characters, storylines, comedic timing, etc.

So was the fire actually arson? I thought Dougie's scribbling revealed that something was up. Was Dougie wrong, or is in Mullins in on something?

Did anyone else's stream slow the fuck down this week live? I think it was gay of thrones fans slowing it

...

We're simply right about this season and we know it. In a way we're just stating the facts.

But it's also to piss you off.

>That final scene
"Candy. Candy. Annie, look at me."

So I guess Candy really was The CUTE after all...

Dougie was drawing attention to the fact that there was a string of similar cases which pointed to fraud on the part of someone at the insurance agency, the guy that's working for Mr. Todd. The Mitchum brothers' claim was legit but denied by the other insurance guy because he's working with Mr. Todd, who is a rival of the Mitchum brothers.

Same, it was too good.

They literally outright say what happened with the fire
How are there so many people on here tonight that don't understand the fire? Stop browsing Sup Forums while you watch the show in the background ffs

People only hate him because he doesn't have the "Lynch approved" stamp on him.
Otherwise they would be praising him and throw around explanation about him being a subversion of the evil rival trope and stuff like that.

The insurance fraud has been committed by Fischler and the insurance fella. They burned down the casino but dougie's investigating showed all insurance fella's reports were false, wrongly saying the Brothers fire was an accident

I honestly lost it when OH ANGELO kicked in and Coop got 5% of his brain back.

Man, Bobby has to put up with a lot of shit.

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY

GORDON COLE VERUS "THE ZONE"

Pseudo-intellectuals often act that way

Watching this episode on the stream with everyone was a pleasure. Best since ep 8.

This show manipulates your feelings and expectations so well.

Why is no one talking about the fact that the honking woman was transporting a zombie while spouting gibberish?

So does Dougie not drinking with the Mitchum brothers after that last toast confirm that he got a little bit of his memory back?

>literally shaking! I can't sleep!
truly a show for nu-males

Don't know how I missed that last week.

man this gore is borderline clipart

But we knew that Belushi would take a check and howl like a wolf in pleasure. It didn't actively suspend my disbelief so why should I suspend mine? Kept looking for the spoiler people hiding in the adobe huts or whatever fort shits.

I wonder if that scene was more about Red's character and forshadowing them clashing.
after red leaves, the escalation of the events outside also suggests 'chaos in his wake' kind of thing.
I'm enjoying the fuck out of deputy briggs

what song reminded him of something. he got distracted for a sec

Everyone who kept saying they were really interested in Hastings' storyline BTFO into orbit

Lynch is definitely purposefully fucking with us with the Dougie story.

That little cadence at the beginning of that slow song is just like the ascending line at the beginning of the Laura Palmer song. Having Dougie perk up and look over when it started was meant to trigger the same reaction in us and once again have us think Cooper might be reviving.

It's turning out to be a deliberate running joke on Lynch and Frost's part.

YOU COME HERE TO PLAGUE THE GOOD PEOPLE OF SOUTH DAKOTA?!?!

I wonder what sent her life down the shitter. She should be in her late 30s and she's banging some 20 year old junkie.

At least Hastings had top taste.

A n g e l o

Well they got all the info he had and now they have the coordinates.

>new leo house not clean enough for new shelly
>bobby and shelly make new shelly
>new bobby bad boy bring drugs into town, date old shelly
>bobby is cuck

>dougie's investigating showed all insurance fella's reports were false, wrongly saying the Brothers fire was an accident
Other way around
Dougie's scribbling helped the insurance company uncover a huge fraud ring that involved basically everyone *except* the Mitchum brothers
The insurance company initially denied the brothers' claim even though it actually was an accident, which was Tom Sizemore's fault but he pinned it on Dougie so the Mitchum brothers would get pissed at him and murder him
When the company found out the fire was an accident after all they gave Dougie the 30 million dollar check they owed the Brothers which is what stopped them from shooting him

If dougie comes back he would just steam roll straight to the lodge. Lynch doesn't want that, a retarded dougie keeps the series fresh with surprises.

Reminder that both Bobby and his daughter are cucks.

Well Lynch wasn't planning for that scene to be leaked, so you can't judge the construction of the show based on that.

And I don't read any leaks or spoilers so it didn't change anything for me.

Oh shit, I read last episode as
>Fischler has brothers new casino burned
>also has it classified as arson to block insurance payout

>If dougie comes back he would just steam roll straight to the lodge. Lynch doesn't want that, a retarded dougie keeps the series fresh with surprises.

Yeah. Have you heard David Lynch's comments about the original seasons, about how he wished they hadn't solved Laura Palmer's murder? As he put it, the mystery of her death was like a "Golden Egg" that held the show together and gave it its mystery, tension, magic, etc.

Maybe Dougie, and the question of Cooper's return, is the Golden Egg this season, or one of them (because it seems like Laura will somehow also metaphysically be brought back as some kind of incorporeal significant factor, but Dougie is more of a substantial mechanism this time).

Yeah I think that is what happened. At least I dunno if it's explicitly stated that Fischler was the one who was responsible for the casino burning down in the first place, but the gist of it is that Tom Sizemore's character pulls a fast one on the insurance company and calls it arson so that they don't have to pay them and then Dougie gets his hands on the paperwork and his doodles somehow reveal that the claim was legit.

Honestly I might be wrong too but bottom line, Fischler/Mr. C/Sizemore fuck over the Mitchum brothers and pin it on Dougie, Dougie ends up undoing it and gives them their money after all and now the Brothers love him

SHOTS FIRED AT BIG ED'S GAS FARM

>the way the on Mitchum brother kept looking back and forth at Cooper and Candie

He knew their retardation would be a match made in heaven.

>Maybe Dougie, and the question of Cooper's return, is the Golden Egg this season, or one of them

Meant to say also that if Dougie is the 'Golden Egg' for this season, then he is going to be kept in suspension for as long as Lynch can to keep the tension going.

We're probably going to be enjoying Dougie all the way til the last episode, and even then, things probably won't wrap up in the most obvious way.

>all that time wasted on a pointless anti gun scene frost obviously shoehorned into the script
>that pointless woman honking the horn obnoxiously with the lame vomit kid
Awful, just fucking awful. This is as bad as The Room, only at least The Room was fun to laugh at. This is just heartbreaking.

Laura is literally a golden egg now lmao

I thought it was obvious from the start that Coop is "malfunctioning" because both Coop and DoppelCoop are not supposed to be in the real world at the same time.

So in order for Coop to regain his wits, DoppelCoop has to be defeated or they both need to get into proximity of each other so magic lodge shit sets things right.

That's why DoppelCoop is trying to kill him remotely, through assassins and middle-men.

In any case I think Dougie's fingerprints will set off an alarm and the FBI will show up to spirit him away to Gordon and the team.

I think the only wildcard here is Diane and I suspect she's DoppelDiane and she'll be the last "assassin" DoppelCoop will deploy.

Holy shit... for real though.

Probably intentional on Lynch's part. Good spotting that.

I love good Bobby.

Glad we'll get more of him

Reminder that when Coop travels through purple room the socket is dated October 1st, the glass box moves ten forwards to get him here. The reason he's still retarded is because his conciousness isn't yet in the same time frame as his body.

He's the new James. On the verge of crying in every shot he's in.

>events aren't happening at the same time

Yeah, I agree with all that. Definitely don't think Dougie-Coop is even capable of remembering and fully recovering his old self until hhe somehow merges with or replaces DoppelCoop.

>I think the only wildcard here is Diane and I suspect she's DoppelDiane and she'll be the last "assassin" DoppelCoop will deploy.

I'm not convinced Diane is fully corrupt, just somehow compromised through fear or threat. Her response to him in the prison seemed of genuine fear and trauma, not of any sympathy or collaboration.

He needs to cap that junkie fag his daughter married. Dude is like Leo except only physically threatening to women and children.

>if something is bad is because of Frost

Read this pls its important

Except James was always cool and Bobby is still a cuck.

American I presume?

>This is just heartbreaking.

Composed and Performed by Angelo Badalamenti

It was his responsibility to actively suspend my disbelief by means of his direction and story,k therefore making me immune from emotion-nullification suffered from spoilers.

Reminder that Depute Jesse is linked with Sonny Jim, and that both of them are the Giant. He's going to keep bugging Hawk, asking him to look at his 2000 car, and when Hawk finally goes to see his new car, there will be a huge hint about Cooper's whereabouts.

Like the butler, he appears to be a bumbling fool at first, but he was actually trying to help them in their case when he opened the door and asked Truman to look at his car.

Best characters this season:

Gordon
Candy
Dougie
Bobby / Hawk (tie)
Mitchum bros
Albert
Diane

and HDS.

next episode:
>He takes Frank to see his car
>It has been vandalized
>It has "Let's Rock" spray painted on the hood

I find Gordon annoying. He's better in smaller doses.

But I actually really enjoy the Mitchum Brothers. Normally I can't stand Jim Belushi but him and the other guy are GOAT together

Good call. Love him.

every fucking kid in this show had those dead soulless eyes. He must have found a whole commune in the backwoods somewhere.

>dude I love meemes!

HOLY SHIT YOU'RE ONTO SOMETHING.

This is why Candie made the comment about the air conditioning. It's so great that the new casino has air conditioning....BECAUSE THE OLD ONE DIDN'T, AND THATS PART OF THE REASON IT BURNED DOWN!

>James was always cool

My thought is that Belushi is so good in this that I could see it kind of reviving his career with more gangster roles (And half-comedic ones, even. He's so good in that capacity)

Gordon is great shut up.

imagine if two months ago someone told you cooper would be a literally retard for 12 episodes and bobby has the best arc and character out of everyone in the whole cast

Is no one going to talk about that vomiting demon child?

This. Personally I think she knows what the Doppelganger is and its helping him in exchange of getting more information about Cooper.

wew i'm glad i bailed after episode 8.

Those are genuinely the most interesting, entertaining, and in some cases moving characters. You're much more of a meme than they are.

Major Briggs told us 25 years ago.
