This makes the roman tremble in fear
those were popular mostly in the south of the peninsula. In the north iberians used straight blades. In both cases the blades were of great quality since the iron working was very advanced (t-thanks celts) and the local iron was pretty good as well.
Romans later adopted the designs due to it's effectiveness for both slashing and puncture capabilities.
The falcata has the problem of being a slash only weapon, great for guerrilla warfare like the lusitans and their allies did, but pretty useless for dense/structured formations, especially considering it was a sidearm for romans (they used spears/hastas and pila)
But it's the ksifos or kopis greek sword.
Plain and simple.
> this kills the gr*ngoid
...
yep, except they are somehow not related (I think this was up for debate, dunno how things are now).
kopis and falcata (modern name, the original was lost like most things about iberian peoples before rome) were created without being influenced by the other. It's pretty much a weaponized/straightened sickle if you think about it
I prefer axes though
true turk style

Portugal
Gallaecians (Castro Culture master race)
This is a "Langes Messer" (long knife), it probably came to be after "copyright" fights between the knife-maker guild and the sword-maker guild, technically it's still a knife, but obv. is meant for use as sword, this way the knife-makers could get into the sword market.
what makes it a knife and not a sword?
Single edge
ayy lmao
It's a bit comlicated, but mainly about how it was constructed. If you look at how the hilt is typical for a knife with the rivets you can get the general idea.

We're the number 3 worldwide in fish-eating per capita. Irish are just lazy and/or dumb.
They simply didn't have the means to fish in deep waters. Your typical Irish peasant in the west was pretty destitute and lived on marginal land, hence why they were so reliant on potatoes.
