Realistically speaking, could Batman defeat Iron Man?

prep time

No. In a hand to hand fight with Tony Stark, yes, but not as Batman and Iron Man.

Depends on a number of technicalities.

If we go by the most powerful they've ever been, batman. He became a literal god at one point. He took Metron's chair, mantling his power and becoming the god of knowledge.

doesn't Batman have his own powersuit

is that tron

Can Bruce Wayne build a suit IN A CAVE WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS?

Yes.

youtube.com/watch?v=kIRCnkwnHqM

Fuck no, Ironman has technology that Douche Wayne cant even replicate.

sure, he could poison his drink at a fancy party

He's had tons, and tons of them over the years in comics, cartoons and live action movies. They're usually built for a specific purpose but some of them are purely for fucking shit up.

I like how they made his bat symbol light up to show how much POWER he has. Im just flabbergasted that the artist could be so deep in intellect.

Batman is literally inmune to Omega Beams.
Plot armor is invincible.

That sort of shit is what he spends all his time doing when he's not out fighting crime. People are under the impression that he can't do shit on his own. Ironically this has been true in some iterations to the point of a literal hunchback living in the batcave, making shit for him.No I am no kidding and that was fucking weird.

Besides that, Batman sort of became a gadget porn character with his utility belt a long time ago. He's more fun to watch in smaller scale fights anyways.

It would make a great movie Tbh.

That is literally the most worthless version if batman ever, geoff johns hates batman.

2bh he was a God of knowledge while in the chair, thechair was not meant to be a weapon or serve in combat.
Owlman was the next to sit on it and he literally got decimated in one issue (I know it was Dr Manhattan, basically another God, but still).
I'd say Batman still wins with his DKR metal suit.

He fights for the users.

Sure, but he doesnt need the suit to escape

He would get out by other means and wouldn't have to spend 6 month on it.
A week max and he's free.

>implying batman wouldn't find some sort of weakness to the suit
>implying batman wouldn't eventually render the suit useless
>implying batman wouldn't then utterly destroy Stark hand-to-hand
Saying that, Iron Man has so much overpowered shit he never uses in the movies.

Yes, because Batman is practically Neil Breen. The best at everything who knows how to do it all

REMINDER

Iron man is no longer Iron Man, you mean Iron Woman, who is both black and a science genious (even more than iron man was). Since the new iron person is a black woman, that means the first ones are too, so you have to say iron woman (and preferably add in the black and genious part too) if youre going to make any threads.

christ, Sup Forums chill your autism

>ITT: Batman fanboys jerk off about prep time, plot armour, suits and Waynes' "genius"

I like Batman but Iron Man decimates him at least 6/10

>prep time, plot armour, suits and Waynes' "genius"
You can say that AT LEAST 3 of those things you can say for Stark too. Not an argument.

hey there buddy, i think you mean "Iron Woman".

>Not "Ferrous Female"

There is a demonstrable conspiracy within all mainstream media that should be discussed here since this place is undoubtedly coerced as well. Though the degree of coercion is up to debate, it is important to acknowledge it so that we may be vigilant against forces that are trying to corrupt our worldview and the worldview of future generations.

While a lot of the false-narrative memes are already self-perpetuating, I believe that the forces that push the mainstream narratives in Sup Forums are the same that have corrupted Sup Forums and made it a pejorative here.

The influence that television and movies has on popular belief is profound and the amalgam modern media has is akin to a new type of religion or proto-religion. It is therefore of vast importance to maintain critical thinking about the media themselves so as to maximize our understanding.

When you see something that doesn’t make sense (ex: the bully in the new Spiderman, liberal agendas sprinkled in most Netflix shows, tropes etc...) analyze them in depth. Explain the semiotics of the memes and why they are false.

There are posters here that seek to normalize the dumbed-down or utterly false version of reality presented to us in television and movies. Push back and strive for a higher standard.

>Batman vs Ironman thread
>Sup Forums comes to derail this fucking thread
Holy shit you cant even chill ANYWHERE on that fucking website now...

Anyway,Bruce Wayne has plot armor and is most intelligent person on earth, Tony's gadget arent enough.

They are more or less the same character, but Bruce is better with combat out of the suit. And frankly, there are as many powerlevels to Bruce and Tony as there are wr iters, so you have to specify which versions of them?

Better question is, which one of them would win in a head to head presidential race

He wouldnt have gotten captured in the first place

R u ok

Yea. Iron Man killed people I think. He could kill Batman and save Gotham is 5 minutes flat

seek help, jamie

> realistically
>batman
>iron man

No, but he could beat Tony Stark.

Basically how I see it going:
Engagement 1: Basically a dogfight between the Iron Man armor and the Batplane. Batplane loses, crashes, Batman nowhere to be found in the wreckage. Trony shrugs and doesn't think about it much more than that.

Meanwhile, Batman is going over the data he collected during the fight and all records about Iron Man, looking for weaknesses in the armor. He determines very quickly that:
1. The armor has no weaknesses
2. Iron Man is Tony Stark

So he switches his research into Stark himself. Discovers his daddy issues, his drinking problem, all his other varied character flaws.

Soon shell companies begin buying stock in Stark Industries, and Tony begins to believe someone is attempting a hostile takeover. In reality this is a deception by Batman. Tony becomes paranoid, not knowing who on his board of directors he can trust, which of his investors is behind it. He begins acting out. He's not drinking again (yet) but he's behaving increasingly erratically, in and out of the armor, taking out his shit mood on the people closest to him, driving away his friends and leaving him without an emotional support system, which fuels his paranoia further.

A series of scandals hits the papers, as several, previously unknown, possibly illegal and certainly immoral business deals conducted by Howard Stark are made public and Stark Industries begins to face lawsuits for these decades-old transgressions. Tony is forced to apologize for (or defend) his father for weeks.

Eventually Tony falls off the wagon, and starts drinking again.

Simultaneously, three things happen:
1. Stark's largest investor calls an emergency board meeting, and it's clear he wants to oust Stark.
2. Tony is called to testify before congress about one of his father's questionable weapon deals.
3. Batman blows up every single Iron Man suit in their various hidden underground silos all over the world while Tony is distracted.

So basically one (fast) fight and then boardroom politics. Boring comic, but I think it's reasonable to imagine that's how it would go. There's no reason for Batman to ever engage Tony in the armor, not when he's so personally vulnerable.

Meanwhile Tony would never even know that the guy that took him down was that weird Bat-guy he shot down in that plane that one time.

Fictional Characters. No one beats the writer of comics. Plot armor up!

He'd find a way to turn the suit off remotely

>Eventually Tony falls off the wagon, and starts drinking again
Christ this would be embarrassing if it weren't the go to trope in Iron Man stories

If he had because that meme actually occurs.

But 1 vs 1 raw? No way.

EMP?

Weaponised autism

Immune

Where was this stated? I remember he had one encounter where he tactfully turned the suit off BEFORE an EMP, but haven't seen him survive an EMP

Iron Man doesn't have a secret identity.

Of course, Batman has gone toe-to-toe with Darkseid, a guy in a metal suit is nothing.

We talking movies or we talking comics?

Batfleck would destroy RDJ Man

Isn't the insidiousiberal agenda just a reflection of what mainstream consumers expect? Isn't it simply marketing your product to the widest possible base? Isn't that part of being an ancap or nah?

Are you for fucking real he's beat up Darkseid with Alien tech before

what about a black woman in a metal suit though? who also is smarter than tony stark

Tony Stark isn't a detective.
Bruce will find out his weaknesses
Then easily beat him in 1v1 combat once he makes his tech useless

Of course Bruce will wait until Stark get out of the suit

I don't know , can a card trick beat a knock knock joke?
You're too young for this board.

Captain america beat up Iron man. Could bat beat up caps? Dont think so faggot

What's so special about the suit?

Does it run out of power?

But he got captured in DKR

>Nolan

In the last canon crossover Captain America & Bats were evenly matched in hand 2 hand but Bats admits Steve will eventually beat him per Super Soldier Serum

Batman has been captured numerous times.

Remember that time he was captured and placed in a well and got out by taking Venom?

No way in hell that they would be even in strength who was the hack that wrote that

Captain America is all kinds of broken if you go back far enough, he's up there with Superman at times.

>Can function at 100% capacity for 8 days without getting tired
>Can be fully revitalised with 20 minutes sleep and a half cup of rice
>Has bent steel girders to rescue civilians
>Held up a collapsing bridge
>Held up a collapsing building
>Pulled down a building by wrapping a rope between 2 windows
>Once punched a man 8 times in less than a second

He's fucking mental

Is Marvel are writing it then no, black women are the most powerful beings in the universe (only if they're lesbian or trans though). Straight White Men are the weakest.

Batman is a Mary Sue by essence. Of course he would win.

This is how Batman wins, actually. The target sits there largely doing nothing in response.

"Could Batman beat X?" should be interpreted as "Could Batman backstab X with X not paying attention?" That's the only way.
