It's just the perfect anti-American movie though: heroes are not perfect nor meant to be, story isn't typical 12 phases Campbell garbage, and the continuity isn't just a smooth ride to an explosive ending. It's not the best movie either, but it's certainly doesn't deserve half the shit thrown at it.
