I feel like I need to have a break from the show and the fandom until s11.
I was dissapointed with last four? five? series, I'm constantly being told that I've just grown up and cant appreciate kino, it makes me more depressed and more annoyed as it goes, so this show only keeps making me sad.
I still enjoy classics, but I'm rarely in the mood of it.

i actually really liked this scene, especially if you take the head cannon that this was when he started really regenerating because of the line about it almost being a live round.

Go for it, I took a break in the late Tennant/early Matt years when the show wasn't working great for me and I was happier for it. Don't force yourself to like the show. If you come back to the show it'll be in a much healthier and happier way. Remember the show really is dozens of different shows over time so it's not at all weird you prefer certain eras. Don't force it, that will just poison it to you.

The episode is such a fucking mess. His attitude towards regeneration there doesn't shore up with the rest of the series (or his era at all really) at all. How'd he even do it?

Right after this scene theres a little gag about how they didnt plan it properly or something, i cant remember specifically, but it was implied that it was lucky that the bullet wasnt real.

But you can completely take is as it IS real and bill literally shot and killed 12, he's just been delaying the regeneration since then.

sure, but every christmas special was longer, that's not a capaldi only thing, and the only opener to be longer was deep breath since it was being screened in cinemas.
it's just the finales, and they're only 15 minutes longer, which hardly compensates the loss of a 45 minute episode
