>entire fleet devastated >massively outmaneuvered >manages to kill a few stragglers with the help of overwhelming numbers and a fucking flying tank >even then they lose a big chunk of horses and men >le you people can't fight lmao xD
>this guy retarded or sumin'? He's dothraki. They are supposed to be stupid. Remember Shagga of the mountain clans?
Aaron James
the lannisters defeated the tyrell army and captured highgarden pretty fucking easily, and yet jaime had the decency to say "they fought as good as can be expected". why? because hes not a savage like the dothraki rapists
Xavier Stewart
>Remember Shagga of the mountain clans? he wasn't a dothraki though
Nolan Howard
>implying lannister fuckboys would ever stand a chance regardless of dragons
Lincoln Cox
lannisters are probably the shittiest soldiers in all of westeros. how are they going to conquer the rest of em?
Aaron Brooks
>implying that wasn't a small fraction of lannister forces >implying a force that is 99% cavalry that doesn't wear armor won't get ass fucked against a size of equal force but have spears and pikes which fuck up cavalry >implying that simply having a far larger force makes you stronger BTFO with those filthy raping savages
Isaiah Ortiz
There isn't much of a difference between the two.
Colton Turner
>your people cant fight >literally moments after he says this his invincible dragon queens mount gets BTFO and she almost crashes out of the sky >then a warrior shows more courage than literally any Dothraki ever has by charging straight at the fucker >this comes after his queen has already suffered two utterly devastating losses, one of which saw the fucking Ironborn, a bunch of angry fisherman too stupid to farm, completley outmanuevered and outsmarted what is supposed to be the greatest most disciplined military force of Essos I bet that guy felt like a total fucking moron once he saw Drogon get shot
Nathaniel Hall
So how the fuck did a gorillion dothraki get from dragonstone to the road between highgarden and kings landing without anyone knowing and with no ships
Aaron Fisher
the NGOs
Jaxon Rogers
>t. sexist asshole afraid of a strong female leader
William Carter
They had ships. Tyrion even mentions that they still have ships and that they could just blockage King's Landing and stick with the plan. How do you idiots miss this stuff? Do you stop paying attention so you can shitpost halfway through the episode?
Samuel Reed
how could they blockade when the enemy has a stronger navy
Luke Hughes
Because Euron's Fleet is storng but requires surprise attacks to BTFO the enemy like they have done this season. If Dany took her forces and blockaded King's Landing they wouldn't be surprised by anything because they would see Euron coming from ten mines away, plus she has her over-sized flying gecko's.
Joshua Morgan
>too autistic to recognize bants
Carter James
>blockade kings landing Tyrion said they had only enough ships to transport the Dothraki, implying that they didnt have enough ships to do any other significant operation. Also, how the fuck would blockading kings landing help? Now literally everyone knows they're coming. Sure the fact that she has a dragon makes the batttle more or less unwinnable for the Lannisters but the only reason the Dothraki are effective is because they caught the lannisters with their pants down in a battlefield that greatly favors them. If Dany had taken an action so noticeable like blockade, the Dothraki would be slaughtered on the field being forced to attack a position much more favorable to the Lannisters. They would still win obviously because of Drogon burning massive swathes of men but ambush is key for making it as decisive as possible. Also, as Euron proved last episode, the Ironborn are more than capable of outmanueviring Danys ships so theres no reason to believe that, in the event that Dany was even able to blockade kings landing, that Euron could just as easily crush her ships there. In any case, the Dothraki didnt attack via an amphibous landing so obviously they had to march across some land, so it makes literally no sense that fucking nobody noticed a massive dothraki horde stampeding across the countryside. You're a god damn moron. On top of ALL THAT, a blockade on kings landing wouldnt even be effective. All of their supplies come from Westeros so a sea blockade would be utterly useless.
Hudson Green
is that why the fleet sent with Greyworm got snuch up on during the attack on Castelry rock?
Aaron Parker
literally one minute later, their people shoot down the dragon
Julian Green
FUCK WHITE PEOPLE. MAKE WAY FOR THE NEW WESTEROSIS, THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL.
Wyatt Carter
he looked like a total chump when Jaime was charging Drogon head on No Dothraki would ever have the balls to do something like that, not even Drogo
Brody Parker
but that's clearly a white man with brownface makeup
Zachary Watson
d&d should appologise to white people for this line, and especially to europeans for insulting us in these dark times
Anthony Baker
They were retarded and left their ships unprotected and fell into the biggest trap ever, so not really. If Dany actually took KL and set up a parameter than the same thing probably wouldn't happen.
Luke Torres
yeah thats whats so weird about the Dothraki this season. Khal Drogo and the Dothraki were so clearly ethnic and meant to be dark skinned savages in season 1 but now they are basically really light skinned Turks/Persians. They could easily pass off as some south eastern europeans as well. Not like im upset about it or anything. I dont care if game of thrones goes full feminazi as long as there arent any god damn niggers
Zachary Thomas
Jamie was destroying them
Joshua Myers
For a show about fighting for a crown they sure don't give a fuck about any semblance of logistics.
Wildlings numbered in 100,000 the got slammed by Stannis then fought in the BoB and now they're reduced to maybe 100 men? The entire North maybe has 200 people able to fight considering how many people got pulverized in that conflict and that's AFTER Robb fucked it up the first time around.
The entire (considerable) army of Tyrells folded after getting attacked by the Lannisters who were waging a war for what ... years now? How many troops can they still muster up? Where are these people coming from?
Dothraki apparently disembarked somewhere and appeared at that attack point without alerting a single soul that they're moving through the countryside?! And this is in a setting where ravens consistently deliver crucial messages.
So after this how many Lannisters are left? How many Dothraki? What's the Dornish army even doing? Who is even in charge there?
Is the Vale completely devoid of troops now since their entire force is up north?
Mason Walker
>You're a god damn moron. How? You said they had no ships, Tyrion stated that they had ships. Stop being fucking stupid and just pay attention and your questions will be answered.
Blake Perry
Dothraki sees a naked white girl walking out of a fire and collectively shat their pants, then pledge themselves to willing slavery
Based Bronn sees a fire breathing dragon destroying his army, goes fuck it and shoots it down with an experimental weapon in 2 tries
Joseph Nelson
>left their ships unprotected how do you know? You think they just left their ships empty? Thats not how it works. Stop defending bad writing. >set up a perimeter you mean like Stannis tried to do? If Stannis fucking Baratheon couldnt take Kings Landing with the fleet he had, Dany certainly couldnt even make herself noticed with the fraction of a fleet she has left. >probably wouldnt happen It would actually be more likely since they have to sail into a much narrower body of water to set up a proper blockade making it significantly easier for Euron or any other Ironborn fleet to trap them or destroy them outright. Not only are you unable to understand the basics of this fucking show but you''re an idiot tactically as well.
Brayden Robinson
> Daily reminder the dragon is named drogon
Jaime did nothing wrong
Jayden Sullivan
>The entire (considerable) army of Tyrells folded after getting attacked by the Lannisters who were waging a war for what ... years now? How many troops can they still muster up? Where are these people coming from?
Did you miss the part where a bunch of Tyrell bannermen joined the Lannisters? Add to that the fact that they hadn't prepared for an attack
>Dothraki apparently disembarked somewhere and appeared at that attack point without alerting a single soul that they're moving through the countryside?! And this is in a setting where ravens consistently deliver crucial messages.
There's a direct sea route between Dragonstone and KL, Jaime was in the field, how would he receive ravens? Plus his army was spread out and moving really slowly vs. having an entire mounted force
Jayden White
>Thats not how it works It is in GoT. I'm not defending shit you fucking idiot, They got fucked in the ass because they didn't expect Euron to flank them. If they actually set up a parameter and didn't keep their ships assholes facing the sea they wouldn't have gotten butt fucked like they did. Also Stannis didn't have three dragons and a massive horde of shitskin filth warriors that she could just throw at the gates non-stop. Stannis needed actual tactics beacuse he didn't have a lot of forces like Dany does.
Daniel Baker
I agree with you for the most part but i dont think the Lannisters faced the whole army of the Tyrells. The implication of Randall Tarly's betrayal was that most Tyrell bannerman deserted Olenna in favor of the militarly much more competent Randall so the fight to take Hightower was a pushover. what the fuck are you talking about? Tyrion literally says they have enough ships to transport the Dothraki. Its not my fault that you're an idiot, deaf, or both.
Gabriel Moore
He hasn't faced >ten/twenty good men before.
Just that is enough to stop the entire Dothraki horde
Cooper Allen
>transport the Dothraki to KL >take it with ground forces while using dragons to scare the shit out of people and create a diversion >also use dragons to watch for ships and BTFO any potential sea faring threats >WOW RETARD HOW THE FUCK WOULD THAT WORK THEY HAVE NO SHIPS
Henry Murphy
it has been established multiple times that Dany will not use her dragons to attack cities. If you cannot even understand that by now you are beyond help. >if they set up a perimeter oh my god you are so stupid. what about that would make it any easier to see Euron coming? The sea is wide fucking open and it was a clear as fuck day so theres no way the men on the ships didnt see Euron coming, which proves that putting yourself in a position where you are trapped between Euron and the sea, something that is literally impossible to avoid if you were to say, blockade the literal capital of wesetors, it is a death sentence. On top of that, with Dany off with Drogon that leaves Viserion and Rheagal to fight without her command and the proximity to kings landing would mean ts very likely those scorpions would be brought in making Viserion and Rheagal wide open to be murdered without the guidance of a rider.
Isaiah Howard
i have no idea what point you're trying to make. take a deep breath, calm down, and try again kiddo
Xavier Ramirez
Typical Muslim. Terrible at war and refuse to engage unless they outnumber enemy heavily. Petulant and shrill when they lose blaming everyone but themselves, smug and prideful when they manage to win usually against vastly outnumbered forces.
>dragon breathes fire all over infantry >dothraki savages ride in and hack down men stumbling around in flames who are already dying >"Your people can't fight"
Easton Russell
The lannisters should have been in a formation like the boltons during the botb
Benjamin Johnson
> Tyrion said they had only enough ships to transport the Dothraki, implying that they didnt have enough ships to do any other significant operation. > Also, how the fuck would blockading kings landing help? I think the point is precisely that - Daenarys is listening to Olenna Tyrell`s famous words to her (don`t trust smooth-talking advisors) and she has said to herself - fuck that, I`m not blockading for reasons you stated, plus she has no patience to wait for the effects of a blockade which would need years. Or, Tyrion Lannister, being who he is knows something random user commenter knows - he fucking lived there. I don`t know why you`re so worked about this.
The only thing that bothers me is I`m trying to figure out how they did there, because they obviously did use the ships against what Tyrion suggested. Looking at map user posted it seems like they probably landed in Casterly Rock (because they already owned it) and went South East from there. Best guess from me
Jayden Evans
>mfw when the Dothraki die like flies to the winter. They are just glorified raiders who just pillage defenseless villages 95% of the time and 5% of the time hold cities hostage for tribute. Mance had organized a hundred thousand wildnings, they attack the wall with maybe 500 men at most and then get overran by Stannis in 5 minutes. Then in season 6 Tormund says he was maybe two thousand fighting ready men. Just how many people did Stannis kill?
Gavin King
stannis didnt kill all the wildlings hardholm and the nightking did

Where in The Reach did this take place? It looked like it was pretty far South from Highgarden, almost on the border with Dorne due to the desert features; but Randall Tarly says the gold will be in King's Landing by tomorrow. Is this more of the retarded plothole teleporting that I've heard about?
Benjamin Wilson
next to the blackwater they are nowhere near the reach the troops were the stragglers the main army already made it into kings landing with the gold
Owen Kelly
A horse is a symbol of wealth and power, the more horses you have the more men you can field atop of them. Kinda like the goats in our world.
Luis Lopez
The North could only muster up 20,000 thousand men when Robb went on his war. I'm surprised that the Nights watch doesn't have more men these days
Jayden Walker
The closest port to Highgarden would be at the mouth of the Mander and would be the town of Dustonbury held by an unknown house. Oldtown might be the only port with enough ships to ferry the gold though but this is much further south. There's maybe two more ports further south than Oldtown before reaching Dorne.
Adrian Davis
This is the equivalent of gg
James Young
Eurons ships probably have scorpions. Even without those his fleet seems quite good at shooting fireballs.
Jason Young
Cant remember any single GOT general\king to use any kind of vanguard or reaguard, even scouts. All army camps are devoid of any watch posts, literally noone is looking out. Those *ambushes* and *surprise attacks* are getting really tiresome.
Gavin Hernandez
They say this, but the Lannisters showed heroism unrivalled in the rest of the show. Vastly outnumbered and against a fully grown dragon they stood their fucking ground. Jaime had no reason to be there in fact it probably would've been tactically better for himself to have left, but he didn't because he wouldn't abandon his men. He charged face first into the mouth of a dragon about to char him in the hopes of killing this whore, this utter fucking tyrant that has brought boatloads of savages to rape and pillage in order to establish her retarded egalitarian agenda. And he gladly would've given his life for god and nation if Bronn hadn't pushed him out of the way. Bronn too is a whole other story he could've run away with his bag full of cash but instead he nearly gave his life in an attempt to kill (though succesfully wound) the dragon.
The show has been know for its nihilsm and degeneracy, and those are to very true criticisms of the show, but regardless of whether or not this was accidental or just bound to happen eventually because of the genre, or even an attempt to show how weak the "white boi" is, this battle displayed the greatness we hold, the courage and honor that is inherent within ourselves.
The ability to charge down a fucking dragon.
William Phillips
I cant believe for a second that Dany can attack from Dragonstone to Jaime without anyone spotting them. You would think there would be all sorts of scouts around the Kings landing area and scout ships near Dragonstone
Xavier Hernandez

That's just how the dothraki roll

The Dany hate is real. She sits in a castle does nothing "shes boring". She listens to her hand and loses her most prized army, her allies and ships, shes "dumb". She decided to use one dragon to burn a few soldiers and a few cartons of grain in an open field and shes "the mad queen". Meanwhile Cercei fucking her brother, tortures her enemies, finds satisfaction in killing their children, allows nuns to get raped on her orders, blows up her own people, places of worship but she ain the mad queen. Right, at the end of the day this is war not an episode of friends
Adam Lewis

But GRRM doesn't know how real nomadic steppe people fought. They probably would wear light armor and have horse archer skirmishers to keep the enemy showered with arrows while lancers would hit the enemy in their weakest spot. I never saw the dothraki use anything like this.
Parker Reyes
>But GRRM doesn't know how real nomadic steppe people fought. Nobody does, it's a lost art. >I never saw the dothraki use anything like this. They did have bows

They're a subspecies of the Dragon genus.
Jack Martin
Actually, horse raiders are pretty rad. They can just keep their distance and keep shooting you down for days.
Charging at your defeats their entire purpose. They shouldn't come close to the spears range and just keep shooting arrows from their horses.
Christopher Garcia
I agree, honestly worst case scenario the Dothraki can just ride around in circles firing arrows because that shit was too damn powerful back in the day.
Luke Butler
Now i see how top tier Lannisters army was, extreme high morale (they didnt break formation even when horde of shitskins fucks aproach and a fucking dragon), comaperd to Stannis cowards whos ran away when see few Boltons. Stannis hadnt chance for iron throne
Julian Cruz
Just as with the Mongolian Horde (whom the Dothraki are based on), the Medieval European powers didn't know how to fight them. They were light armored and fast, rather than clunky with heavy armor like the Euros, they had horseback archers (something which the Euros never did often enough to be good at) which were extremely efficient. And the Horde favored fast hit and move battle styles when the Euros liked to remain stationary and defensive.
It's the same thing here, the Westerosi literally don't know how to fight them since they use unconventional battle tactics and weapons. Also Dothraki are lifeling nomadic warriors, every damn one of em (or at least all the men). Clearly one who's a warrior by profession rather than a farmer or carpenter, will do better than a man who's only a soldier at war time, or worse yet, a conscript.
And Daenery's dragon, of course. I'd honestly, say the Lannister army fared pretty well given the odds. I bet a sizable amount of the soldiers, Jaime, Bronn, and Dickon Tarly will come out alive (Randyll Tarly probably died at battle). And I think Drogon is significantly hurt and might have to sit the next few fights out.
GRRM prefers a sort of cyclical history in his stories where events of the past mirror the present. It's *very* likely that Cersei, in near defeat, will try to blow up King's Landing in wildfire.
Just as it's *very* likely that bolt fired at Drogon was coated heavily in one of Qyburn's magic poisons, which will Cause Drogon to die slowly of poison, just like his namesake, Drogo.
Luis Campbell
probably it was Mereen fleet
Christian Ward
>the Medieval European powers didn't know how to fight them But the Mongolian Horde didn't reach far into Europe did they?
