Tyrion is supposed to be a genius but he let Dany get away with doing something pretty stupid.
Why would their goal be to destroy the grain instead of destroying the army in order to take the grain?
Dany could have saved the grain while destroying the Lannister line with her Dragons
Noah Russell
Tyrion is not supposed to be a genius. Tywin made that clear many times.
Jack Nguyen
Are we watching the same show? She's just doing whatever she wants.
Dylan Murphy
Tyrion was successful in running King's Landing though
Justin Lopez
So was Robert whilst blind drunk and having a tart suck his dick.
Doesn't seem that hard.
Jaxon Rivera
Are we watching/reading the same story? Tyrion was cleaning up all of Robert's mess
William Bailey
Wondered this myself, the food was needed to be able to hold casterly rock, it was the reason she attacked the lannisters and she burned the wagons when she couldve easily hit the soldiers to each side of the wagons. Not a smart move
Logan Gomez
Normies won't understand this. The next episode will open with Dany miraculously saving the grain somehow.
Jackson Hill
The fact that Tywin let him run King's Landing in the first place is proof that it mustn't be too hard. No way Tywin would have put King's Landing on the hands of his dumb dwatf son if it wasn't easy.
Juan Allen
And it's clearly the same mess as when Cersei gets a visit from the Iron Bank telling them about how poor they still are.
Clearly didn't do a very good job.
Oliver Reed
>dwarf*
Cooper Walker
user, he's a midget. Not a dwarf.
Dwarves build fortresses.
Midgets sit around complaining about how much of a midget they are.
Jonathan Clark
why did tyrion become such a shit character tv?
Cameron Richardson
Did you watch the episode? Dany said she wasn't going to listen to Tyrion anymore
Camden Fisher
He should have drank himself to death on his way over to Meereen. It would have been the greatest death in the whole show.
Nathan Williams
So she wasn't even gonna listen to common sense?
>Winter is coming >My 40,000 savages, 10,000 unsullied, and potential allies will need food or they will join whoever does >Burn all the fucking grain in Westeros
Nathan Hill
"I drink and I know things"
Except knowing how to reason with a retarded, incest Queen who will now starve all of Westeros.
Robert Johnson
social justice and normie-infestation
Jonathan Myers
>So she wasn't even gonna listen to common sense? Yes, she's been going insane and becoming a villain for a while now. The show is being very obvious about it at this point.
Landon Flores
>Implying Daenerys ever listened to common sense have you not watched her fucking up Slaver's Bay?
Brayden Campbell
He knew the secret way into a nearly abandoned and pointless castle.
Anthony Myers
>Dinklage self-identifies as a dwarf (achondroplasia) and stands 4 feet 5 inches (135 cm) tall. the condition is even called dwarfism
Jason Campbell
This point will only start to be realized when rational characters star to turn against her. Perhaps Olenna could have been that character. Maybe Tyrion will now turn against her. Or even Jon.
Joseph Thompson
>No sense of loyalty >No sense of gratitude >Inferiority complex >Envious as fuck He was destined to become a traitor from the start.
Oliver Anderson
>(((writers))) Hahahaha kek! I got it brother! You mean they're jews right? Hahaha hail kekistani brother! Hail kek!
Easton Robinson
dragon roasted grain more magical than ever
Oliver Hall
Sup Forums is for those that are 17 and older
Lincoln Gonzalez
>really awful character if hero >pretty goat character if villain, 3 dragons, army of savages, the "ideal" she's in the right
I feel she's more of a threat than the white walkers at this point, wouldn mind her sacrificing herself only to become a night's queen.
Joshua Brown
It's a fantasy show, not a medical documentary.
Actually, the writers have decided that burning grain with dragonfire instantly turns it into bread. So, thanks to that, Danny can now feed the 7 kingdoms.
Eli Cook
>Yes, she's been going insane and becoming a villain for a while now. The show is being very obvious about it at this point.
Except for the speech Tyrion JUST GAVE saying her people will fight for her because she's the ideal of goodness and freedom.
Problem is, writers wrote themselves into a corner where they want you to root for her (and stupid Tumblrinas will) but they have to show her doing heinous shit in order to advance the plot.
Hudson Brown
they even call him a dwarf in the show what more do you want
Joshua Butler
That's already been hinted at very strongly. Varys said he's only willing to support her as long as she's a good ruler, and even Missandei admitted the only reason she supports Dany is because of idealism. Last episode, she bitched out Tyrion and tried to burn his brother alive while he stood by looking horrified; the preview made it look like Varys and Tyrion were questioning her sanity.
Noah Robinson
Well, they're clearly setting up a Tyrion/Jaime reunion, so there's always hope Tyrion will turn heel.
Henry Lewis
Robert bankrupted King's Landing.
Elijah Russell
If anyone could backstab her successfully it would be Varys
Levi Martinez
lol we will crack your skull when kekistan rises. Fucking libcuck back to le >>>/reddit/
Landon Brooks
No they're not. She didn't destroy "all the grain". She destroyed Lannister supplies and their loot from Highgarden. Now they can't pay the iron bank and will have no money to wage a war. That is almost a bigger blow than losing kings landing.
Luke Brooks
>Except for the speech Tyrion JUST GAVE That was before Dany tried to roast his brother alive. It was also after she threatened to kill Varys out of nowhere.
We're getting multiple viewpoints of the character, that doesn't mean its bad writing. Dany (and her supporters) still view her as a good ruler for now, mostly because they know she started out with good intentions. But we've also seen that her ambitions have led her down a pretty fucked up path. And that's the point. Dany was always intended as a character to show us how good person end up doing horrible things when corrupted by power.
Levi Morgan
Dany will realize next episode that those were grain wagons and not the gold wagons. Then next episode she'll have grain sent over from Essos to buy the loyalty of starving Westeroes.
Andrew Walker
umm...but it is all part of the plan. the grains will miraculously appear in epi 5, just you watch. dany has spared every single grain
they will make it seem like they destroyed something completely unrelated..like ammo from highgarden
Adrian Bell
Tyrion is beyond redemption. Jaime saves his life and Tyrion goes and kill their father, joins their enemy, and brings three dragons and a horde of savages to their homeland.
Jack Morgan
Tarly said they'd already gotten the gold to King's Landing. Those wagons were grain.
Isaac Hernandez
This user thinks that it was the gold from High Garden. Thoughts?
Anthony Gray
Assuming the show runners actually have the balls to go through with it, sure.
But, they'll likely just have a brief redemption episode or two where she admits she was wrong and everything fucked up she's done is just forgotten about.
Gavin Walker
Dany has ALWAYS been a capricious, opportunistic, entitled child who seems totally unfit to rule and has fucked up everything she touches.
I'm predicting her death, in the spirit of the mad king. They're hinting at this. That will be the bitter part of the bittersweet ending GRRM spoke of.
Dylan Cox
Midget is actually considered to be offensive. Dwarf is sorta acceptable since the condition is called dwarfism but 'little person' is the preferred term. Nobody here gives a shit though lmao
Ayden Miller
Missandei will fuck her to death
Andrew Foster
what's a goblin?
Evan Foster
They fucked up Tywin's death by not having Tyrion learn the truth about Tysha and swear revenge on the entire Lannister family. Would have helped explain his fuck-up with Casterly Rock as well
Julian Watson
...
Connor Barnes
>But, they'll likely just have a brief redemption episode or two where she admits she was wrong and everything fucked up she's done is just forgotten about.
Yeah, likely this, since they're already telegraphing her "corruption" so early on. This will be no more than a two-ep arc before it's back to YAAAS QUEEN
Colton Brooks
the Lannisters have been fucking everything up since day 1 in Westeroes. All so they could establish themselves as the new ruling dynasty.
how hard would it have been to have Cersei bare 1 legit heir? Then said heir could have changed the Lannister's the ruling house after the two Baratheon brothers are delt with.
Andrew Gomez
Oh yeah he did say that. So it was only for the Tyrion-Jaime plot thingy
Kayden Gray
Cant she just import food from the other continent?
Luke Bailey
Yeah, she'd need boats or something though.
Ayden Johnson
Should be easy after Euron is defeated.
Jordan Fisher
Which would require sailing the open sea which Euron has proved to be the king of. The writers will find a lazy way around this though.
Xavier James
>the Lannisters have been fucking everything up since day 1 in Westeroes. All so they could establish themselves as the new ruling dynasty. It's not like Tyrion didn't want to help them to achieve it. If he wasn't a bigger player was simply because Tywin knew he was too incompetent to be given more responsabilities. And, anyway, even if joining Dany were righteous, which is not, that doesn't exempts him for betraying Jaime, who always had his back.
Juan Phillips
Dany airdrops grain 50000 times
Bentley Bell
Or just not at all.
Like how a small army of horse-back riders were able to get aboard ships that were apparently waiting at Dragonstone and sail past Kings Landing.
Adrian Jenkins
Tyrion is a good administrator and politician but he has no experience or talent in military affairs. In fact, none of the YASS KWEEN's advisers know anything about combat.
Well, once there was Selmy Barristan, but he was a fucking white male, so he had to die like a bitch.
Joshua Robinson
I mean, there's Jorah, but he probably won't be anywhere near her until S8.
Christian Phillips
He can rule and take care of the economy, like you see it when he's the hand of the king trying to clean up the mess Robert did. He knew they couldn't settle debts either and so did Tywin which is why they were worried all the damn time.
She's doing everything wrong. Destroyed the grain, which would feed the army true but she could take it for herself since she has a shitload of experienced raiders. Daenerys will lose everything by the end of the season so the white walkers have the upper hand all time.
Alexander Gomez
>let's not directly attack kl because many people will die >let's starve it out instead, so even more people die >...by attacking the strategically irrelevant casterly rock >y-your mercy, i didn't think they would attack us twice xd what a dumb midget.
Dominic Flores
This. Could maybe be forgiven if it was some stranger formulating their plans, but Tyrion has known Cercei his entire life. He knows full well she would allow the small folk to resort to cannibalism in the streets before surrendering.
Alexander Harris
Tyrion wants to absolve Dany of blame. an unstable and hungry kings landing will welcome the hordes as liberators and might even storm the redkeep themselves
Charles Long
She's destroying gold, right?
Not food. Right?
Right?
Elijah Ward
Food.
Parker Lee
all the gold is in KL. she's burning all the food.
Austin Rivera
>Forgetting Joffrey
Brody Campbell
you mean he warps to her next episode*
Jordan Gray
>GRAIN?
Ryder Johnson
I never even understood why they left that out? For what purpose?
Zachary Long
grain and gold. they were stealing both from the tyrells.
Cooper Hill
>why did tyrion become such a shit character? >why did jaime become such a shit character? >why did theon become such a shit character? >why did theon become such a shit character? >why did sansa become such a shit character? >etc etc That's D&D for you.
