And what? Sup Forums is for politics discussions anyway. Please, don't bring it to Sup Forums.

>Casually turns around to reveal that I'm wearing Rick & Morty shirt

Chances are she'd weigh an extra 200 pounds, have a nose ring, and problem glasses.

You're confusing punks and SJWs, their not usually in the same circles, though SJWs try to co-opt the looks of the former.

Socialism of the national variety.

We're unironically on the same side

I follow Sankara's line of thought, how about we discuss this in a more private place ;)

What does the general population think of the Zapatistas? Marcos seems pretty respected even by his detractors. My old boss used to be an officer in the Mexican army in the mid 90s and even he liked him despite being part of the system repressing the EZLN.

I get a sense that there's a lot of left-right duality in Mexican politics that we just don't have in the US.

Aren't they both ultra lefty? I imagine their politics don't differ too much

Communism

SJWs want government control over everything for the sake of equality, state mandated equity through force. The political slant that is conveyed in the first post is more along the lines of having a tiny or non existent central government with a bunch of small societies sharing resources on a community level of their own free will.

That is also what this dude preaches too.

Huh. Interesting, actually. Thanks for sharing

SJWs are liberals (center-left)
An-Soc are anarcho socialists (left)
An-Soc or libertarian socialism (actual libertarianism) is bottom left in the political compass
SJWs are one or two squares of center to the left and up, they only like preaching

Libertarian socialism is a meme and an oxymoron.
>Inb4 libertarian socialism predates capitalistic libertarianism
I know, the former is still an oxymoron and the latter is actually coherent.

The average Mexican doesn't think about them at all, right wingers see Marcos as a pedantic member of the intellectual left but his profile had become very low key since before he retired from his position as at some point many of the leaders of the EZLN came to see him as too much of an attention whore and he's being built into an iconic figure was seen as contrary to Zapatista communalism.

The man did play a very important and highly visible role in the original uprising and the Zapatistas do owe him a lot in terms of how he handled their media strategy, which really was 90% of how they achieved success at the time.

Libertarian socialism is pretty contradictory, a better term for it would be benevolent Libertarianism.

Julie?

>is actually coherent.
How can property rights exist without a sovereign entity enforcing them? How can theft be a crime if there is no force that defines crime? Can you explain this to me?

How can there be liberty if there is financial domination? The ones that have less won't be free
>inb4 kys commie

I'm a social-techocrat.
