Retro mini is really really tiny, by retrogame i guess you are talking about the one that looks like the Revo 101? that one has a similar size to the gemei a330 a fantastic device, the retro mini it's a replacement or alternative to the GBA micro, the nes emulation is bad, but the gba, gc and gbc is great. retro game has some screen issues but there's already a dedicated scene, go with the retro game, fasttech has it pretty cheap, you can emulate more systems and Dingux is coming to that system.

you seem to know your shit so I have one more question since I just started getting interested in retro emulation. I've also heard that PSP is a really good choice for emulation. whats your opinion on that, which one is a better choice?

The original Xbox abd the wii with a classic controller are better options. Psp especially the second model are more than fine and a really good option since you can also play psp games, if you can get one for less than $60 go for it. But retro game is a goos option too. The android based "mp5" are a hit or miss, specially the d-pads.
