come play SMASH YOU FILTHY SCUM
Come play with us d00derinos
2 parts onion
1 part green bell pepper
1 part celery
3-4 cloves garlic minced
>usually winds up being roughly half an onion, half a bell pepper and 2-3 stalks celery
hot sauce
cajun seasoning
worcestershire sauce
chicken/seafood/vegetable stock
flour
oil
rice
whatever meats you'd like to add are fine, everything from sliced sausage, to chicken and pork, to seafood works well in this stuff (there are slight different ways to cook the sauce for each meat but this is a good general recipe)
mix equal parts flour and oil in a pot and cook (this is called a roux), stirring VERY often, until its the color of peanut butter or darker. in general you want about 1/4 as much roux as the stock you're using. once its dark enough, set it aside to cool to about room temp or you can do this beforehand and keep it in the fridge (stir it up before using the flour will clump together under the oil when it sits)
add chopped veggies to a little oil (or bacon grease if you have it) and add a large pinch of salt. put on medium low heat with a cover on for 20-40 minutes (stirring occasionally) until all the veggies lose their color and become fragrant (also add the garlic about halfway through this since its smaller and takes less time to cook)
when the vegetables are done, add stock (at this point i hand blend it to make it smooth but its not mandatory), and bring to a simmer
add the rough to the hot stock/veggies and stir thoroughly
season to taste with hot sauce/worcestershire sauce and cajun seasoning, serve over rice
>add the rough
roux*

I'm trying to remember what my first real video game was. Of course I had played those computer games for kids like Put-Put and I Spy. It might have been Tony Hawk Underground 2 or the Incredibles game.
mine was lemmings, but the first game i owned was was donkey kong country 2 on the ol gameboy brick
>first video games played came out in 2004

Mine was PES 2 for PSX, my first steps into becoming a soccerfag

Tony Hawk games were great
I played a lot of Super Mario World and Mario Paint on SNES when I was a kid, also some Godzilla game and Mortal Kombat
There are a bunch of educational computer games I remember playing and stuff like Kid Pix, but I don't remember the names of many of them, also some Army Men Sarge's Heroes or something. Civ IV was the first computer game I got really hooked on though

Congress got riled up about the British impressing American sailors into service mostly, though this stopped during the course of the war as the Napoleonic Wars had ended
also the British were supplying natives that were conducting raids on the US, and its possible that some people in the US wanted to annex at least some of Canada thinking it would be an easy landgrab and seen as a liberation.
Overall, it was a stupid war and a bad mistake as far as I'm concerned
I agree with the description of the events as "a hot and unnatural war between kindred people" as one British officer described it.
are we posting art
First Klimt I ever see with such dark tones
...
yee :3
>posting the exact same video he just posted
yes
I like it tbqh, his style really brings out that rich blue
I bet Klimt's art would be really cool to see in person, even moreso than most art
I saw his paintings at the Belvedere museum in Vienna. The contrast was striking and felt very psychological.
no idea what this one is about but i really like it

Virginia-born artist
I hate to break it to you, but that's a picture of Prussian soldiers partying in Versailles during the Franco-Prussian War
