Michael Bay

Why are critics so triggered by him?

critics are numales

Even Armond White his staunchest defender, the man who thinks there is more cinematic art to Revenge of the Fallen than Inception, says he's shite now., that he's lost his spark.

>Bay was raised Jewish.[10]
Critics are obviously anti-Semitic

Because audiences eat his movies up after they repeatedly tell those audiences to stop. It just keeps snowballing.

He's politically right-wing.
Leftists hate that.

Transformers is garbage, but 13 Hours was sick

>numales
noo mal eees

im a huge faggot i googled that lool

This. He should stick to more grounded materiel like The Rock and 13 Hours rather than blockbuster garbage like Transformers.

Pain & Gain was a masterpiece

This.

Michael Bay is at his best when not making shitty Transformers movies and stroking his hard-on for "hoo rah" military rubbish.

Don't know too much about the guy but people going over the top using Transformers as an insult is a bit stupid. It's a kids movie and the special effects are well crafted. He didn't do the CGI on his macbook but it did the job.
What do people expect a film about Transformers to be like?
The reason I didn't like them was because of Shite Lepoof being in them.

>Taking Armond White seriously

I didn't know how much I wanted him to do a King Arthur/ medieval movie until I saw the first five minutes of Transformers 5

He made bad boys 2, which was awesome

I like him, he does a certain style of movie very well.
The Rock, Bad Boys and Pain & Gain are kino.

betas are always triggered by alphas

that's why neo/tv/ hates Jim

He's said that if he has a good script he's at the top of his game, and that Pain and Gain and 13 Hours were both great

Aside from Revenge of the Fallen he hasn't defended the transformer franchise

Literally a better King Arthur movie than Guy Ritchie's flick.

"Revenge of the Fallen" was the only one that he admitted was bad.

But none of them are passion projects and he's pretty upfront about it.

If I had to guess I'd say it's because Bay likes America.

Revenge of the Fallen is literally the only one he praised

Apologies, thought you were talking about Bay himself.

I wonder what's next for his career now that he's done with "Transformers".

He's not really a Jew

He's also John Frankenheimer's illegitimate son.

>was raised Jewish

Is this the same as how Stern says he's "half" jewish? It kind of leaves them an out, in case things get too MAGA and alt-right.

His movies are trash with flashy explosions and sex appeal.
But no matter how much critics hate them for being crap, people still go and see them in droves and he makes a profit.

he was adopted by jews so he's not a real jew

>His movies are trash with flashy explosions and sex appeal.
Trash aesthetics != actual trash
They're well crafted trash that are elaborately self indulgent.

His early movies were pretty right wing, especially Armageddon

Hes not a bad director though, he doesn't deserve all the hate

Checked

I think the hate is part of that whole Samsung thing

The only reason he's doing it is because Paramount has literally no other blockbuster franchise outside him, JJ Abrams' production company, and certain Tom Cruise movies (including Mission Impossible) ever since Disney snatched it out of their hands.

So Paramount pays him for Transformers and he uses that to negotiate budgets for his real movies. Similar to how Nolan parlayed TDK for Inception and then the entire trilogy for all his movies since. Nolan will never go back because his movies do well both financially and critically.
