Been on a musical kick lately. Aside from this, Repo!, Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd, and kind of Doctor Horrible, what are some other dark comedy musicals I need in my life?

Don't watch it, user. It's garbage.
The movie, sure.
The musical is some goood shit.
It's the other way around, friendo.
American Psycho
Into the woods. Specifically the stage production that features Bernadette Peters as the the witch. Still my top 10 favorite anime of all time.
Forgot to mention that this particular version is free on youtube
Hamilton unironically
I thought it all fell apart in the second act.

That tends to be Sondheim's problem. Sunday in the Park With George is the same.
I really wish they'd done the film as stop motion and used Broadway types for the voices. Or even the 80s proposed film that was meant to have Cher as the Witch, Robin Williams as the baker, and so on. Instead we get James fucking Corden and Meryl lip syncing to Donna Murphy.
why the fuck is griffith on that poster
Have you watched Tommy yet?
It's the alternate script where Griffith escaped torture and found his groove.
I would not be surprised if Kentaro Miura took some inspiration from this movie
Always amused me how much the mask in the Phantom of the Opera music video ripped off that look. Lloyd Webber doesn't limit his plagiarism to his music
bumped for being a fun thread

Why do the movie versions of ""darker"" musicals like Sweeny Todd, Into the Woods and Oliver! feel the need to have actual kids solo a number. Kids can't sing. Les Mis will always be the worst play/movie because of "Castle on a Cloud". At least they dubbed in a woman for Oliver.
>implying the kid didn't do it better
Three simple words: THE TIME WARP!
That's not Singin' in the Rain
