Some detective in a hive city dealing with chaos cults, mutants and general shitty things

The Imperium opens their borders to refugees of all races and enriches the backwards culture of humanity with diversity.

STEHL REHN

Straight adaptation of the Ciaphas Cain novels. The question is who do we cast?

Ciaphas Cain would make a decent miniseries, sadly it would require a pretty big budget to fully flesh out the different enemies he faces. And it has a lot of overlap with another series I don't remember the name of which might be good or bad.

cainmind

Dead men walking maybe by HBO
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Dead_Men_Walking_(Novel)

Pretty uplifting book.

>detective
good god where is the creativity. You should write for netflix

Straight adaptation of the Horus Heresy that lasts 15 seasons.

>a poorly written scifi show following a female space marine
In all seriousness an apocalypse now with imperial guard and chaos cultists would be pretty sweet.

We can only hope

Gaunt's Ghosts would also be excellent material for a Band of Brothers style miniseries.

A young marine struggling with his faith in a dead fucking corpse noone has seen and doing the bidding for a couple of pervert religious fanatics that rape eldar children on their "purges" which are essentially raids and pillages.

He starts believing in a forbidden concept called freedom, free will and self-determination... the path to chaos, to evil.

Excuse me, an acolyte/interrogator.

...

>Dead Men walking adapted into a big budget HBO series
It's the love the Kreigers deserve.

The Emperor (Idris Elba) fights against the Tyranids single handedly.

"Battle-sisters! We now know the enemy! The-"*Unknown marine yells "We've won half the battle!* "The necrons, a mostly male army, are assaulting feminaria!" "Show that the Eradicators of the patriarch shall triumph!"

This. Band of Brothers style show about Imperial Guard soldiers, with a broad cast of characters, each episode focusing on one or two of them and a small arc that lasts the episode, with an overarching continuous story to tie it all together.

doesn't seem that far off what he's capable of, he'd probably be able to do it without any weapon or armor, just him fighting non-stop for 3 seasons straight

Anything with Space Marines as protagonists would be literally unwatchable.

Would be a nice happy ending too, people would be shocked at how happy it'd be.

Different guy here, they'd have to focus on the pirmarchs, but I think the tone would be kinda fucked and unrelatable, due to how otherworldly perfect they are.

it would last 5 minutes until a group of boyz or tyranids tears them apart. Imperial Guard aren't story worthy, they can't achieve enough alone and when they do they have to be ridiculous mary sues.

It would just be a cheesy action series. Just a big guy yelling "FOR THE EMPRAH"

Loken and Garro say hi.
Most HH novels are told through the eyes of normal marines.

>otherworldly perfect
Maybe certain primarchs but space marines would be terrifying. Kind of lame that none of the books really emphasis how monstrous and inhuman they are.

I for one would enjoy GOT but with chaos cultists

HH is better for tv

Who would get cast as the Emperor if they did the Horus Heresy?

don't make him a roach

Idris Elba could even play Vulkan.

A bunch of blokes sitting around a poker table drinking soda and playing a tabletop rpg.

documentary about how the iron warriors did nothing wrong

The problem is that works for games and cartoons, but you can't make a live action show about characters that have no reason to be on screen when there's no millions worth of CGI shit blowing up around them.

This, a real 40k movie would be set in 30k and would be about Lorgar

Chuck Norris

>Deffskwadron Saturday morning cartoon
Would definitely watch.

>lorgar
Triggered.
Fuck Erebus too

Rowan Atkinson.

Just make it Blackadder in space because that's whats Ciaphas Cain is.

This, it'd have to be 30k and tell the story of the Horus Heresy. The Emperor's backstory could probably be explained in a sort of montage thing in the beginning of ep 1, then the actual show kicks in when he creates the primarchs and they're scattered through the galaxy. Fuck it would need a lot of seasons, though.

Pic related for perfect, albeit impossible casting.

Keanu Reeves

Idris Elba

Any of the Gaunt's Ghosts novels.

Oops, wrong pic.

I'd be ok with a series set with this theme on the border of the Tau empire.

As long as the final episode is the God-Emperor's angels of death arriving to mete out his vengeance against the weak fools who would cavort with Xenos filth

Can any knowledgeable anons make a list of all these characters? I'm a noob to 40k.

How would they do Alpharius & Omegon?

The Eisenhorn Omnibus really needs to be adapted into a movie or premium tv series...fucking fuck i hope this happens before I die of old age or get hit by a bus.

Is it really too to ask from the God Emperor?

Tommy Wiseau

Season One: basically "Aliens". A quiet fringe world is slowly infested by a genestealer hive. No action, just 9 episodes of thriller and mystery unravelling: A couple of teens discover the hive as it expands and struggle to contact an outpost of the Empire. Parallel to this: the story of their older brother, who has joined the empire as a marine. We see his training and life as a noob. Season finale: Genestealer infestation is complete. Space marines, terminators and inquisitors arrive to this world and unleash the carnage. Among them is the older brother, who has to face seeing his comrades die. Now he has to kill his own family, including the teen protagonists, they are all infected... but his sister is missing...

If he could act for shit I'd agree with you. Big E or Curze.

They're a bunch of Space Marines leaders.
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/List_of_Horus_Heresy_Characters

Holy hell the triggering would be of galactic proportions. I would be epic.

Cuneyt Arkin

How would you make a series focused on the Sisters of Battle?

They could just dub his voice.
>You're tearing me apart Horus!

Band of brothers but female

>including the teen protagonists, they are all infected
but... that's not how genestealers work

Pusy and boobies

Here

I'd watch this. But the training and process of becoming a space marine would change the character so much that it might be hard for normies to swallow.

we'll call it... Band of Brothers (female)

Portray them as nurturing medics and combatants supporting the planetary defense force of a system being invaded by a slaanesh chaos warband. As the series goes on things progress into sexually sadistic torture and corruption.

Tbf Ordo Xenos would probably purge the whole planet anyways incase there was a genetic infection. Since the genestealers mutate sperms cells.
You could do it with a Nurgle cult and the teens get zombied

The Loyalists/Imperials are on the left and the Chaos/Traitors are on the right.

Imperials, in order:
The Emperor
Malcador the Sigilite
Rogal Dorn
Roboute Guilliman
Vulkan
Leman Russ
Sanguinius
Jaghatai Khan
Corvus Corax
Ferrus Manus
Lion El'Jonson

The bottom three I assume are Nathaniel Garro, Garviel Loken and either Iacton Qruze or Saul Tarvitz. I'm pretty sure Garro is the last of the three there.

As the for Heretics on the right, in order:
Horus Lupercal
Fulgrim
Angron
Magnus the Red
Mortarion
Perturabo
Konrad Kurze(Night Haunter)
Lorgar Aurelian
Alpharius (Omegon?)
Ezekyl Abaddon
Kor Phaeron (I think)
Kharn (I think)
Lucius

Squad of Sisters

>A live-action space marine anyrhing.

No. Just no. They are too huge and inhuman. They need to be for special occasions. ..aloof and godly ..seen from the third person.

Any adaptation needs to from the perspective of the Inquisition for maximum human drama and intrigue.

Thank you, lad.

Thank you as well, but I'm too much of a noob to understand half the nicknames.

It should be a collection of vignettes about life in the 40k universe, most with bad ends for Imperial subjects, with some being grimdark adaptations of aesop's fables. These should have no connection to each other save for recurring Chaos Marine villains. Eventually chronicle of Space Marine adventures should be made which will give a terminus to the stories of the Chaos villains from the previous stories. Finally as side material, a narrationless pseudo-documentary of life in the Imperium, kinda like Samsara or the first few minutes of that Inquisitor fanfilm showing Terra and the procession.

After enough short stories to get viewers acquainted with 40k, a 5-6 season adaptation of the Horus Heresy.

A dark comedy.
Quick intro to the universe, and then the movie follows the adventures of a pirate ork band.

Yeah, Inquisition would be cool as fuck. Plus we'd get so many dank heresy memes.

Perfect cast.

Inquisition is too shadowy imo and would have the same problem as Space Marines once the inquisitor has to bust out terminator armor. Any series should focus on IG and show everything else from a distance.

A series on the orders hospitaller would be interesting, although not as fun as the nuns with guns (and flamethrowers).

I think if any 40k tv or film series is made they need to steer well clear of the Space Marines (of all flavours) and the Sororitas, because their motivations and personal stories are more difficult to make interesting than a bunch of guardsmen who are just ordinary humans with very powerful flashlights up against the worst the galaxy can fling at them

warhammer 40k judge dredd movie on a hive world about a slaanesh cult

A 40k-remake of Apocalypse Now, set on like Catachan, telling the story of a squad of guys sent out to reestablish contact with a platoon gone rouge, led by an evidently insane colonel. Then it turns out that chaos did it.

What about an Alien like movie with chaos demons boarding an imperial ship or some stupid bullshit

big budget space hulk movie would be pretty nice

So Event Horizon?

>Then it turns out that chaos did it.
As series about the Inquisition in the format of Scooby Doo. It turns out chaos did it, every episode.

dunno never seen it

Basically Google the 18 Primarchs and their 1st captains.

That was my pitch for a stand alone movie a few months ago. Eldar or Tyranids attack an IG ship, and the IG fight a losing battle, trying to outrun them and just survive, getting picked off one by one. Make it have an action/horror vibe like Aliens. At the end, a space marine squad arrives and obliterates the Eldar/Tyranids, and the protags are fucking horrified after finally seeing how ruthless and deadly the enemy is, then the final scene is them getting reassigned and redeployed to eventually face said horrific enemy again.

a police procedural about an Inquisitor and his team. which has a tech priest, an arbite, sanctioned psyker, a callidus temple assassin, and two IG deserters.

the inquisitor will route out all heresy and xeno influences, or make everyone else die trying.

Like this?
youtube.com/watch?v=cZc6cr6G2E4

you should watch it, you will not be able to unsee how much of a canon 40k movie it is without actually trying to be, though its set in 2047

>the IG die and get replaced every few episodes

Make it as politically incorrect as possible. Make it a fascist/theocracy dystopia as it was intended to be. If they try to pick a race (human/tau/eldar) and say "see? this are the good guys!" It would turn into the usual dull plot for one of their video game titles.

Randolphus Spencer and Martinus Brubaker, two Catachan jungle fighters, work as a team fighting various criminals and villains, using their advanced archeo-tech land speeder.

The audio is soooo bad.

You mean the dialogue? It's because the guys original language is german, and I believe the original dub is in german, so the lips dont match.

No I mean the sound effect of the pistol shooting.

yeah I think the audio from the parade is fine but everything the inquisitor does sounds really bad

He's been putting it together in his own time. Hardly a hundred million dollar production. Lips don't really sync either.

I think you havent read enough books about the inqisition.

They often work among the highest levels of society....Fucking GoT in space, man.

>fucking up the last few on both sides
>not knowing valdor
>mistaking erebus for kor phaeron
disgusting

POST THE REAL LIST, LAD

A Necromunda series would really stand out.

Last 3 on the loyalist list are
Constantin Valdor
Garviel Loken
Nathaniel Garro

On the chaos side only Kor Phaeron is wrong, that picture is Erebus. But Alpharius could be Omegon or fucking anyone from the Alpha Legion, that said it's probably Alpharius. alpharius should be on the loyalist side hydra dominatus
