You have to admit he was right, neither she nor her father had/has any rights to claim Westeros.

>nor her father
Then neither do the baratheons.

JUST FUCKING KILL YOURSELF YOU AIDS NIGGER FAGGOT FUCKING GO BACK TO THE SHITHOLE YOU CAME FROM ALREADY YOU WORTHLESS FUCKING COCKGOBBLER YOU STUPID PIECE OF SHIT HOW MANY FUCKING THREADS ARE YOU RETARDS GOING TO MAKE HOW FUCKING MANY YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT YOU ABSOLUTE WORTHLESS WASTE OF LIFE FUCKING KILL YOURSELF

Fighting for the throne is not a legitimate way? What other way there is? God comes down and points at you?

>Fighting for the throne
While your whole family tree being born there*

You seem upset.

>I support a queen who was born in Westeros

Dany was born on Dragonstone you fucking clod.

baratheons are descendants of Aegons bastard brother.

Every targaryen for six hundred years was born on westeros.

this scene is absolutely retarded because the andals are from essos too, and the tarlys were targaryen loyalists during the civil war so it makes no sense for him to say this

There's some truth there, but if it was just Randyll getting burnt, almost nobody would care anyway (because he was such a raging cunt). They had to have Dickon step in as well so they could actually portray Dany's actions as questionable.

>queen
>communist

Jesus christ you people get dumber and dumber each week

So Stalin wasn't practically a king?

>Mad King kills Rickard and Brandon Stark for defying him
>Daenerys kills Randyll and Dickon Tarly for defying her
How people don't see the direct parallels to Aerys Targaryen is beyond me

but user that wasn't real communism ;)

Because there's still sound logic behind Dany's actions, even if they're brutal and likely wrong. The Mad King was just insane and saw enemies everywhere.

Not really, even from a purely pragmatic point of view they have more value as living hostages.

>and likely wrong
covered that

No unless you redefine monarchy to include all dictatorships and military juntas.

They have no value as living hostages. There is no-one else of their house that matters. They have nothing to gain from leaving the tarlys alive.

Would cersei pay for them?
Would any nameless house in the reach?

>When the men of a house die, all of the female relatives immediately lose all their land, gold, levies and food.

If you have supreme power, get to choose who takes your place and you kill anyone that you don't like, it doesn't matter what title you have, the only thing that changes is the aesthetics of it.

>refuse to kneel
>executed and attainted
>lands confiscated and given to new family

>muh dragons. bendini!!
what do?

...

woah, let me see, she can either alienate every lord in Westeros and firmly establish herself as a savage conquering foreigner by burning important lords simply for opposing her, or she can take them as prisoners and maybe look as merciful and just as she claims to be

Only Stalin didn't get to choose who took his place, Khrushchev took his place and he was basically the anti-Stalin.

And real monarchs don't have supreme power or get to kill anybody they don't like, and they never did.

Aerys didn't bring a horde of raping Mongols to fuck shit up

>Born in Westeros, on Dragonstone
>Her father was king
>Direct descendant to the throne via the laws of the land
>Tarly's liege lady swore for House Targaryean
>Tarly's house swore allegiance and fealty to House Targaryean in the past

>no right

top kek, ben dee nee

>Only Stalin didn't get to choose who took his place, Khrushchev took his place and he was basically the anti-Stalin.
only because he died before his time from assassination

>Only Stalin didn't get to choose who took his place, Khrushchev took his place and he was basically the anti-Stalin.
No shit you fucking retard, he died before he could.

I see, he would have had this power only he didn't and never did. Brilliant logic.

I thought we were talking about things that actually happened?

"Varys, I'm nothing like the Mad King and I know you only wanted a good leader, someone who will fight for the people and didn't trust that I was nothing like him. So I assure you, I'm nothing like him... but if you ever betray me, I'll burn you alive".

"I'm nothing like the Mad King. Cersai is lying to you. And to prove I'm nothing like the Mad King I will burn you alive!"

What the fuck is up with her character? They either have terrible fucking writers, or she's starting to go mad. I hope it's the later.

BEND HER

>She is invading lands with a bunch of brown/black savages and wants to set up some kind of communist utopia....oh my god.. RR IS A COMMIE AND THIS SHOW IS JUST """SOCIALIST""" PROPAGANDA! I KNEW IT!

We already knew this since like 2 years ago.

evil fucking bitch that must be resisted at all costs

>implying dany isn't literally America
>implying the series won't end with her cracking down on the dothraki as they wage a guerrilla war against her, in a direct parallel to the US and the mujahideen

>neither she nor her father had/has any rights to claim Westeros
Her line boasts a 300-year-old dynasty. You can argue that Robert's rebellion ended this dynasty, but it's stupid to say her father had no claim.

Randyll Tarly was not right to defy Daenerys. The Tarlys of Horn Hill served the Targaryens for 300 years. Why on earth would he disregard this historical bond out of blind loyalty to Cersei Lannister, the incestuous psychopath who murdered his true queen and also wiped out his liege house?

The only answer is that he is a fucking retard, determined to an hero his house.

That's basically the same way Ned would die. Basically the same way Ned's brother and father died. Dany is the same as any targ, she needs to cut the bullshit and call a spade a spade.

>The fact that her ancestors ruled Westeros matters
I forget sometimes that feudalism wasn't that long ago and people still have vestigial monarchist ideas in their brains.

Even if Robert ended the dynasty, Danaerys is the rightful queen because she's Robert Baratheon's closest living relative.

>freer of slaves
>mother of dragons
>cultural enricher of westeros
>torcher of loyal men

>Why on earth would he disregard this historical bond out of blind loyalty to Cersei Lannister, the incestuous psychopath who murdered his true queen and also wiped out his liege house?

Because Danaerys has brought the Dothraki, insane savage rapists, and it seems like fucking everyone in the show except Randall Tarly has forgotten that. Most of the Reach will be lucky if they live long enough to see the war against the White Walkers, literally all the Dothraki do is murder, steal, or rape.

>real monarchs don't have supreme power or get to kill anybody they don't like, and they never did.
if only you'd been there to tell them they weren't "real" monarchs, you could've prevented so many atrocities

nice quads

>loyal

next you're gonna tell us heredity is going out of fashion too. i'll make sure to tell my parents to burn their will because the state will take everything they own anyway

>real monarchs don't have supreme power or get to kill anybody they don't like, and they never did.

Tell that to medieval monarchs who murdered people with impunity. Especially uppity noblemen stupid enough to rebel against the crown.

She's not, Gendry is.

>but he's a bastard
The Baratheons are also distinct from the Targaryens by virtue of their founder being a Targaryen bastard. If Gendry can't inherit because he's not trueborn the kingdom wouldn't revert to house Targaryen because Orys wasn't trueborn either.

Where's Ghost?

>nor her father
never make a thread again you dumfuck retard

No she isn't. Jon is the rightful king in either case.

Orys was legitimized by King Aegon. Bastards can inherit and pass down titles if they've been legitimized. Gendry was never legitimized by any king.

She was also born in Westeros. she was born at Dragonstone. Tarly was wrong.

Those words, of course, are by Emma Lazarus. Her poem, "The New Colossus," appears in bronze on the base of the Statue of Liberty. A statue given to the United States by France, our nation's oldest friend and ally... a bit of history that seems especially important just now, in light of the recent horrors in Paris.

For me, Lady Liberty and the words on her base represent the best of what this nation of immigrants is all about. One has to wonder if all the governors (including our own governor here in New Mexico, I am ashamed to say) and congressmen voting to keep out the Syrian refugees have ever visited the Statue, or read the words on her base. If so, they surely failed to understand them.

Of course, most everyone knows the part about 'your tired, your poor, your huddled masses,' but let me draw your attention to some other lines of the poem:
-- a mighty woman with a torch... her name Mother of Exiles,
-- from her beacon hand, Glows world-wide welcome,
-- send these, the homeless, tempest-tost, to me.

Emma Lazarus had it right. Donald Trump and thirty-one governors have it wrong, wrong, wrong.

The Syrian refugees are as much victims of ISIS as the dead in France.

Let them in. Santa Fe, at least, will welcome them.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Whoa... its a shame, its amazing how someone with so much knowledge about how kingdoms work can't realize that the American dream only exists because of US domination.

Do you two idiots know anything about history?

Monarchs weren't able to just saunter about doing what they liked. It's an absolute urban myth propagated by dumb Americans that kings owned their entire country and everyone in it like personal property. In feudalism power trickled upwards it wasn't the king who wielded absolute power, his power was dependent on his powerful vassals who were in turn dependent on their own minor vassals and largely operated on the principle that the vassal of my vassal is not my vassal.

If a king just decided he could kill anybody he wants and do what he likes it wouldn't be long before his powerful vassals decided that someone else was the rightful king.

> Bastards can inherit and pass down titles if they've been legitimized.
They can also do that if they haven't been legitimized and succession is unclear. As is the case with Jon Snow being recognized as heir to Robb Stark with Rickon being dead and Bran refusing the throne.

No, I'm telling you the idea that someone has a right to rule because their dad ruled (because their dad also ruled and so on ad infinium) is retarded.

Good point

>support Targaryens during Robert's Rebellion
>side loses, bend the knee to the usurper to prevent execution and loss of all family's holdings.
>sworn Bannerman to House Tyrell
>House Tyrell sides with the returning House Targaryen
>betray Liegelord and sack their house
>be on the losing side AGAIN
>asked to bend the knee to your original loyalty to a Targaryen
>refuse and die and lose your descendent and entire house in punishment

That's not making a decision based on honor. He broke honor by bending the knee to Robert in the first place, and then a second time by betraying his Liege House Tyrell

There was no honor left, and now he lost everything, his family is gone except Sam, who as a Nights Watchman cannot inherit his family's holdings. Though now he's turned deserter and risks being beheaded.

There's always Talia Tarly

A woman in charge of House Tarly and possibly the Reach.

That'd make D&D proud

exactly, but no, the Sup Forumstards are too dense to understand that.

I mean, olenna was already in charge of the reach so its not without precedent.

Why are cunts always so emotional ?

The andals, displaced the first men and took most of westeros, so yes they kind of were

>Every targaryen for six hundred years was born on westeros.
she calls her dragons her children. disgusting bitch t b h
