Kind of, the ps2 games were more known than the anime itself though

Nope, but i did watched it as kid on polish channel in polish.

it was

yes

for some people it's even a fucking cult

reminder that the characters are all supposed to be 13 or 14 years old

Very popular. Tthe holy trinity of anime: Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon and Saint Seiya.

I remember seeing mock ballots for the presidential elections with Albiore of Cepheus on it (cause the character is Argentine, apparently).

It was popular, not as popular as Dragon Ball Z but still very popular

Was overshadowed by DBZ

>Albiore of Cepheus on it (cause the character is Argentine, apparently).

>blond
>blue eyed
checks out

the mexican knight oddly resembles a mutt

They don't do anime like this anymore

It used to be very popular a decade ago.

It was, but probably not today outside fan circles

Is everyone here an oldfag or what?

No.

Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblades, Digimon and Pokemon were the only anime to take off here

fuck new zeland

more like almost 25 years ago

FUCK dude the music really made this fucking perfect
that music gives me all the childhood feels

No. Most people only know Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon.

This was only made for Latin sensiblities (in South America and Latin Europe)

the writers are going to make athena into some feminist bitch

>Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblades, Digimon and Pokemon
I get those were mainstream in the mid 90's/early 2000's

But what animated shows did you watch in new zealand back in the 80's and early 90's?

Just American and British stuff

Yes, like in any other latin american country

I wonder what made it so big in latinamerica
There's a pretty huge cultural gap between LATAM and Japan, and yet, cultural artifacts from the latter permeate the continent

It was pretty much notn existant in Germany.
I watched it on French channels via satellite TV.

I loved this, and Captain Tsubasa

the good old times, thanks public Tv, thx CHV, MEGA and canal 9 regional (concepciĆ³n)

(fuck you Sony spin)

canal 9? more like anal mein ass daddy

>brazilian japanese
maybe saints were renamed as jose or santos

@86392764

Your pic was renamed "Roberto Cedinho" in the latam spanish dub

Now that dragonball had its sequel
I hope they continue ranma 1/2

>americans dont know about them cartoon titties

Anime from the 80s was revolutionary. There was nothing like it on TV at the time. American cartoons were very basic and simplistic compared to anime.

Also the Japanese really mastered the art of expressing emotional states and archetypes through anime, that's why everyone likes these series when they were kids

best soundtrack

dragon ball soundtrack > Seiya's

LMFAO
No, just no, specially if we're talking about the North American versions.

Fuck off beaner

It was Dragon Ball before Dragon Ball
