...

They only need to get their hands on some ships, like Silence and the soon to be zombified Ironborn fleet, then they too can teleport at will. Screencap this

...

>dead
>don't need to sleep
>can walk 24/7
>somehow still not there

They are lost, right?

Theres a mqgic wall to stop them

Their eyes aren't actually blue.

They're cataracts made of ice.

The Night was trying to get his tax policy in order. Jesus Christ, don't any of you understand the complex world GRRM created?

plot-hole is a big guy

They can't get past the Wall, so they're just chillin aroud. Literally.

They don't feel the need to hurry. Living characters do.

bullshit

not an argument my friend

They are clearly in the process of marching for several episodes already, all while other characters teleport for much larger distances. Some can be explained by ships, but how THE FUCK did the lannister army manage to march to the reach, sack highgarden, march to the outskirts of king's landing(the gold made it to king's landing remember), while we still have a 24/7 walking zombie army not cover tenth of the distance.

The show is off the rails. I will keep watching it but this is a shitshow nearing the levels of house of cards

You tell em, sweetie!

>march to the outskirts of king's landing(the gold made it to king's landing remember)
they sent it with an advance force. Jaime and Cersei clearly implied most of their force was BTFO by Danny

try again

They are waiting for the cold winter to reach the main land, idiot. They can't walk the to westeros if winter isn't there, yet.

since when does the snow act like Zerg creep? And anyways the winter has reached the North at least

YOU HAVE EXACTLY 6 SECONDS TO EXPLAIN WHY THE NIGHT KING WOULD MARCH ON THE WALL WITH NO WAY TO PASS IT

poetic license you autistic fuck

Everybody ITT are low attention span brainlets

There is a big fuck off magical wall that is stopping then from crossing. They need to find a way to cross so are looking to take advantage of an opportunity whilst getting more recruits

If they go beyond wall before winter they'll melt

They can't reach westeros if the wall is still there, idiot. They literally poses no threat whatsoever at the moment. Fucking cunt daenerys will manage to get one of her dragons killed by a walker and turned into a zombie. Then the walkers will use it to bring down the wall and THEN winter will come.

...

Nice dubs, but why should anyone care about them when the wall is there. They literally aren't a problem.

If this happens I will throw my tv out of thr fucking window. This would be the worst plot ever.

Because they didn't invest in building a Stargate with a Arbiter tribunal.

Tell sweetie you, em?

It's true, according to the leaked scripts.

try again

It's the curse of the wall.

Diles, cariño •

They have been walking to the wall since season 2, slow fucks

try again

you know that this was on the extremely well detailed leaks right?

Poetic license means you don't describe every shit the characters take, not that you do away with concepts like time and distance entirely. When you do that, you destroy any sense of dramatic tension in the story. Will the heroes make it in time? Well help arrive to help the heroes out of a sticky situation? Well, of course they will, because they'll just pop onto the screen right when they need to by using the Instant Transmission technique that they all learned on Yardrat. Fiction is built on contrivance, sure, but there needs to at least be an illusion that help may not come, that the heroes may not make it in time.

Speaking of Dragon Ball Z, I feel like that's a good example of a story that, rather ironically given that the main character can literally teleport and it's infamous for the whole "Planet Namek will blow up in 5 minutes", does a good job of conveying distance and the passage of time (albeit not precisely) in order to facilitate tension and drama.

Do you remember when Vegeta and Nappa came to Earth? The Z-Fighters never stood a chance against the Saiyans, their only hope was to hold out until Goku arrived. Goku had just been wished back to life, but he had to travel all the way back along Snake Way to get back to Earth, and from there, he'd have to fly to where the battle was happening. This is what generates the dramatic tension in the story, the hope that the Z-Fighters will be able to survive until Goku arrives. And that expectation transforms into catharsis when he finally does arrive. This is essentially all Dragon Ball Z is, everyone getting their asses kicked until Goku finally shows up. It gets trite after a while, but it's effective. When characters just teleport all over the place that tension doesn't exist, and since there is no tension to be relieved, there is no catharsis, no sense of "Ah, they made it". Even Toriyama realized this, it's why he found ways to handicap or isolate Goku after he learned instant transmission.

Silence is literally the ultimate ship Euron created after years on the sea and learning magic.

I personally hope the show somehow incorporates the Kraken into it like how the books are hinting.

Better than the books. They've been walking to the wall since 1996.

How is time passes hard?

Like two weeks pass and nothing eventful happen and Jon makes it to Eastwatch.

Seriously when people complain about shit like this it makes me think George was right to not have a 5 year time skip since everyone would go "WOW WHAT A COINCIDENCE THAT SUBPLOT B TOOK 5 YEARS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

>two weeks
it would take him months to get back from fucking dragonstone to the Wall.

And people bitch about it because the way they show time passing is done sloppily for a show like this, they just cut and suddenly a character is on the other end of the continent.

It's totally incongruous with how they did it in the earlier seasons, where they'd show characters traveling to keep the world consistent, and give them a chance to interact with each other on the road. Tyrion/Jon Cat/Tyrion, Ned/Robert etc.

so what exactly happened the last time white walker showed up?
just chilling outside the wall since they have no way to get pass it?

I'm not saying it's good it does feel rushed, but at this point is too much to ask that people just accept that nothing significant happens during the journey.

Granted what makes it not good is the fact that you need a lot of external explanations to make it work, like the whole Winterfell stuff. Is it gonna take them months to kill Littlefinger or do we assume everything in the North happened while Jon was on a boat to Eastwatch.

get out weeb

KL to winterfell is a month by carriage, ships are much faster

Wtf are people talking about they can't get past the wall. They're just going to walk around it on the ice.

Even if nothing significant happens they could at least give a scene of them traveling for some character interaction.

Having a character say he's going to the other end of the continent and then just cutting and having him be there is ludicrous.

>KL to winterfell is a month by carriage

No it's not.

he's going to the Wall, which is quite a ways north from Winterfell

yes it is, took 1 month on S01 for Ned to go from winterfell to KL

boats are a lot faster than carriages user

they literally change the weather wherever they go retard

Because the wall is unmanned and undefended.

I'd say DBZ is the polar opposite of this season of GoT. They're packing so much into each episode this season that doing so means flubbing time and space when convenient.

DBZ is the exact opposite. This too is also kind of facilitated by flubbing time and space but is also to do with villains that love to just putz around and let the cast talk for five minutes over the span of four episodes.

since the dead decay without the cold, it keeps them "alive"

The other armies are regular dudes led by regular dudes, who go from A to B with distinct logistical goals and schedule.
Army of the dead is a shambling bunch of corpses directed by the magical Night King, who's working by ancient prophecy and whatever mystical bullshit he has to do along the way.

what a what's the goal of the night king? does he have reasons for making an army other than being pissed at the elves?

The White Walkers were created as a weapon to kill all men. In their eyes the job isn't done

Read the books to find out because there's no way season 8 will ever go deep into the culture that GRRM has stated multiple times exists among them.

oh, ok then makes sense they don't have an off switch.

I tried reading the books, they got really weird.

ICE DRAGONS CONFIRMED

They don't cause winter. They go with the winter toward South. Why would they just conquer the North when the south is still warm and they would have to stay in the North for more years and alarm the south to their presence? The Wights want to clear entire continenet with one sweep. Not do any divide and conquer shit.

fucking pajeets they are ruining everything, can you stop spoiling this for us ?

who cares, it's not like it Dumb & Dumber would have made a better job otherwise

HBO ruined it by outsourcing to third world shit pile

Sounds like it doesn't need to be, the wall has white walker repellent magic built into it

Pic related is more plausible.

Did you forget they teleported to Bran once he saw them in his vision?!

They just arbitrarily lost their power to teleport when Hodor held the door for all of 30 seconds.

...the show is complete garbage

>muh plausible
a reminder that basically everything in there happened
green-chili.blogspot.com.br/2017/03/got-season-7-episode-guide.html

It's like raiiiiiinnn on your wedding day!

>Flashbacks.
>Sudden execution of Littlefinger.
>Dany deus ex'ing in on her dragons.
>Cercei has the two enemy leaders in the centre of her capital and does nothing.
>A portion of the wall large enough to walk an army through breaks off after a single dragon breath.

Yeah, no.

>Yeah, no.
That's the reaction people have to these leaks all the time, and episode aftet episode they get BTFO.
These leaks have been online like this for months and been proven completely accurate.

They've waited thousands of years. I'm sure they can wait a little longer. Gathering more wights while doing so

No it doesn't. It literally makes a point of Robert complaining how long it's taking, and how he would have visited Ned more regularly if it wasn't for the great distance

What do the white walkers do in their free time? Don't they get bored of just walking?

wait until the seas freeze, then just walk around

just like "barbarians" would cross the danube whenever it froze from the roman republic era to the high medieval era

they ski and bobsled and shit. sculpting is also popular

Orgy

thanks for the useless post

almost as if travelling in polar conditions takes much longer...

Not when you're a fucking magic zombie who's been living in the weather your entire life.

Why is this the first time they've attempted to do this in the past 2000 or however long years?

how is that? do they float on snow?

real magic (dragons and wights and stuff) only appeared again recently

i don't remember seeing them have any trouble with snow whatsoever

Benjen is blocking their fast travel, can't do that when enemies are nearby.

Btw, how exactly did all the zombies end up being north of the wall.

How are they created? Is their king doing all the resurrections himself?

This, why are they even posing a threat?

I bet they will find a way over the wall in the next few episode, when the guys accidentally take a whitewalker with them or something

>Tfw half of those are brilliant plots or at the very least better than the show

Save Westeros
>youtube.com/watch?v=EIVPjr1d-lo
JAIME is /ourguy/

Not only the sept of baelor was an inside job but e1 knows it KEK

he's a show watcher, of course he doesnt know that

>I tried reading the books, they got really weird
what did he mean by this?

oh so that's what winter is coming means

I thought maybe the continent had like year long summers and year long winters

>white walkers are weak to water
>no one is talking about weaponising water supples to beat wws

>Hammer of the Waters
>Gendry Waters has a hammer

>oh so that's what winter is coming means
It's not. Winter is coming means winter is coming. White walkers haven't been around for ages.
>I thought maybe the continent had like year long summers and year long winters
It's seasons are irregular for unknown(AFAIK) reasons. It can be years of summer, and it can also be years of winter.

Fucking retards.

They have been converting all the living into undead in the north of the wall all that time. Now they are literally trying to find a way to pass the wall, meanwhile recruiting as many as possible to their army. That's it. Just like they have been trying to find a way to destroy 3ER until Bran fucked everything up. Now they are waiting for another fuckup to pass the wall, unless they build massive amounts of ships to carry more than a hundred thousand undead army.

wasn't there a plot line in season1 or something where everyone that died became undead?

whatever happened to that?

we clearly saw that it's the white walkers that manually raise them.

also another thing is, NK was also recruiting other white walkers created from babies, a.k.a Craster's sons
