Sweden and Denmark has been influencial powers for long times. Denmark lost it's diplomatic power and influence when we lost the war to Prussia in 1864, before that, Denmark had way more to say, than whatever state you live in has to say in your federation.

We have a lot of bad things you could rightly criticize, but not that. Norway, finland, yes, they where mostly unnoticed. But not Denmark and Sweden.

I would say yes and no. It wasn't English pretty much every single royal court in Europe spoke after all. I would say Britain had a larger cultural influence on the world, but France had a larger cultural influence on Europe.
