Not gonna happen. EU is US puppet

Why don't they just say tariffs?

americans are too dumb to know what a tariff is

this.
In the end, EU is just a way for USA to directly slap the fuck out of it in one swing instead of fucking with fucking microstates that are 2-60milion.
God bless America, our best ally.

>we with china now
China levies more tariffs on you than we do.
I don't know why anyone who claims to know anything about international trade is butthurt at recent US actions.

Should have been done a long time ago. We should include Iran too and make an Empire-LARPing trade bloc

>China levies more tariffs on you than we do.
engaging with China would likely lessen those tariffs. We were in the middle of signing TTIP with the US but it was scrapped after the election, now he's trying to raise tariffs. There's no point arguing with this administration, Trump just likes the idea of tariffs

Take off that proxy, Jiang.

TTIP was a lot of hot air. It would at most translate into a few cents for each household, in savings.

>engaging with China would likely lessen those tariffs

EU is a net importer of steel, though just barely.
China has gigatons of steel to dump so it would likely be fine with lowering most trade barriers to do it, but it is on the other side of Eurasia. Transportation costs would be too high. We'd probably have to import even more from the russkies while the russkies would maybe import the diference from China. Or maybe they wouldn't import more at all, since it isn't like they need a lot more steel, russkies have just about all the steel they need. Anyway, it depends on what the tariffs will actually be like. The 25% figure on steel would be a fuckhuge blow to China.

Blaming Trump for TTIP's failure is brainlet tier historical revisionism

>German Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel said that free trade talks between the European Union and the United States have failed, citing a lack of progress on any of the major sections of the long-running negotiations. "In my opinion the negotiations with the United States have de facto failed, even though nobody is really admitting it" the German broadcaster Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen quoted the minister, according to a written transcript of an interview aired on 28 Aug 2016. “[They] have failed because we Europeans did not want to subject ourselves to American demands.”[67]

Sigmar himself said 2 months before our election that discussions had failed, probably because 2014 marked the year that the agreement was put on the backburner.

china numba wuan

Good for EU, they are taking all the steps I hoped they'd take! Hopefully Trump comes into his senses and the trade war can be avoided.

He was probably thinking of the TPP.

>China has gigatons of steel to dump
Most of which is completely worthless and low quality. The incredible irony is that although China is one of the world's biggest steel producers, they're also one of the biggest steel importers because their own steel isn't useful for anything.

Hope USA fuck EU and broke China

But but but DRUMPF

TPP was a pretty bad thing if you know what it entailed. It would have allowed corporations to sue citizens of foreign countries for copyright infringement and try them in their own courts.

TTIP and TTP are different things

TRIPS is bad enough.

Stop fucking posting, christ. Or have your morning coffee and snap out of it. Stop making bad posts.

Everyone should implement tarriffs. Maybe that way we'll stop bwing retarded and import shit we already have tons of but export instead.
