I lived in the country with the highest in standard of living, life expectancy, and education (Norway) for 1 year and it's extremely depressing (especially the education system), everyone's mentally ill, it's totally shit and boring, and their "free" healthcare system isn't actually free at all and is extremely fucking expensive (people literally avoid going to the doctor for this reason, and I paid literally $50 for fucking paracetamol), and instead just applies if you get put in an ambulance
but I don't even care about that, the biggest problem is how absolutely judgmental everyone is to eachother, the judgement is absolutely insane, so bad that after I left I heard a friend of a friend attempted suicide because of what was going on. Bad looks, deathstares, cringe and gossiping is a serious problem over there, but what's comical is the people who judge others actually want to do whatever they're judging / backtalking the other person for and most of the time do it behind closed doors, which leads to another issue
isolation, literally everyone just wants to isolate themselves and nobody has any actual human connection or friends, and by isolation I don't mean just locking yourself in the room, because if you do that you'll get judged as well, I mean emotionally disconnecting yourself with other people who are literally right there, which is strange because everyone cares about their appearance and how they look
if you smoke for example, you'll be so socially ostracized you'd be lucky if the store clerk selling you the cigarettes doesn't give you a bad look, the same applies to "snus" except it's more socially acceptable there, but even then people will judge you for just doing that, people will also call you things like
there also seems to be a certain alcohol limit for everything, you're supposed to buy an entire bottle of liqeur but only let people see you drink a fewp sips of it and pretend to not care and do stuff on your phone
