Mine is a extremely expensive 1x1 adaptation of this.
ITT: Your dream project
Are you a German or Austrian?
Im guessing Norwegian. Norwegians love Barks and Rosa.
OP, what do you mean? A high quality animated series with no divergence from Rosa's work? Id love to see that as well, have that book in Norwegian on the shelf in my room. Reading it as the chapters came out gradually in the weekly magazines was one of the highlights of the week back when I was ~10
Is Don Rosa respected on Sup Forums or will they make fun of me?
>Im guessing Norwegian. Norwegians love Barks and Rosa
and Finns
> john carpenter wanted to adapt this at one point
akira and that movie jumper cribbed a few things from this novel
When I lived in Austria I collected an enormous amount of these comics. Was disappointed to learn that they were not popular at all in Japan or America.
>see people harp about the Don Rossa Scrooge comics
>check them out
>it's the same basic story told again and again and again with little variation
It makes even more sense now with Mel
his passion sequel is going to be insane if it ever gets made
You dont know what you're talking about. He's the Steven Spielberg of duck comics
It's very respected on Sup Forums.
Don Rosa threads always reach bump limit.
Not really. It's all nonstop 'muh money' with no substance.
Rosa and Barks are titans of their craft. The Life of Times of Scrooge McDuck is probably my favorite piece of art of all times.
Is anyone here Austrian? I don't want to talk to Finns or Norwegians about this subject
I have this idea for a musical about sex and war. It'd be the combination of Rocky Horror, Eraserhead and Dr. Strangelove everyone has been waiting for. My working title is "Private Parts and The Dirty Bomb" and there's a 90% chance it would be utter shit.
So... I guess I might just make that 12 hours adaptation of Gravity's Rainbow i'd probably want to get released as a tv show. Which is another thing the idea above was strongly inspired by.
I'm Bavarian. Close enough?
very popular in sweden too
He's is beloved in Brazil.
tv show about russian politics in 1916-1924
Yeah it definitely will be. Although my post isn't directed by Mel, he plays Ahab. Malick would direct.
Nice dream manchild.
someone has never been in Italy.
>Is Don Rosa respected on Sup Forums
Respected too much if anything
A three-film adaptation of this novel, using old-school Disney animation style (think Snow White & the Seven Dwarves) but extremely violent so as accurate to the source material as possible
So how come he is revered in the rest of the world but in his home country he is virtually unknown? One could go so far as to say Americans read tasteless cape-comics
Holy shit! I was about to post this.
I thought i was the only Mccammon fan on this board.
It's the greatest post-apocalypse novel ever written, and it's a damn shame that no successful adaptation of it has been made.
That's my fav book of all time, fellow anons.
here is belladonna, the lady of the rocks, the lady of situations
I wonder if they made 'The Stand', would an adaption of this follow it or perhaps be held back for being too similar?
I like Swan Song better tho.
A mini series might work.
anybody got this in digital format? It was published where I live only once and it reaches absurd prices second hand
Good book
NON-AUSTRIAN FUCKS
