I think this is the case because whenever this stuff comes on the news she looks really uncomfortable and makes an excuse to leave. She also had lots of muslim 'friends' when she was younger but always seemed to act in a disturbed way, she was often scared to go to school for example. Our parents just assumed she was lazy so forced her to take extra classes after school.
The worst part is that I won't do anything about it. I have actually tried to make the situation worse and I am not sure why. For example, I started cooking Pakistani food so my sister will recognise the smell of the homes she was raped in and I started learning Urdu and forcing her to help me rehearse. Not even sure why, it just feels more comfortable than confronting it.
