Someone unironically tell me what the joke with vosotros is, I have learned spanish for 2 years and always with a spanish lecturer.
Do only the spanish use vosotros or what?

Idk that's just what I remember from Spanish class in school. I'm Cuban so I've only ever used ustedes.

I think some sudacas also use vosotros. Argentina maybe?

"no"

Nobody uses "vosotros" in Latin America, only in Spain. Here we use "ustedes". Vosotros sounds archaic for us

spanishmarks.com/blog/29-difference-tu-vos-usted-ustedes-vosotros

Yes, in every Spanish class here they didn't teach it because no one else uses it, and they told us "study it on the plane to Spain." Which was annoying since I actually went to Spain a lot growing up and it was awkward trying to speak in a horrifying mix of Spanish Spanish from my family, generalized Latin American Spanish from the schools, and Chicano/Mexican Spanish from everyone who spoke Spanish in day to day life where I grew up.

Vosotros - castilian spanish (medium archaic)
Ustedes - general latino and andalusian (modern, used as the educated form in castilian spanish)

What does simplified polish looks like?

Why are Spaniards taught this?

I don't know, we never had colonies

Como en la biblia misters

Venezuela too, I think

Countries that invented languages speak their traditional version

We are terrible at English.
Not even our teachers know how to speak it properly, that's why.

JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA

So this is the power of polish intellectuals

peruANO pls

no, please you, ignorant fuck

first off the country that invented spanish was not spain, it was the kingdom of Castile nearly 800 years ago, most of which archaic forms have been lost because of the auric reforms arround the S.V which were universal and declared by the kings themselves.

An no you fucktard, unlike british or french colonization of niggers, the colonization model of the spanish was different with an early immigration model and the establishment of institutions of learning, with spanish speakers immigrating among periods from specific parts of the peninsula which caused particular forms of spanish to arrive at latin america and to not be as modified by the auric reforms. Evidence of this is old forms of spanish remaining in latin america such as argeninean voseo, the use of vosotros as a formal and even the inexistance of some clitic pronouns.

The spanish spoken in Spain is NOT the oldest or most traditional form of spanish, hell some of the most "changed' forms of spanish can be found in Spain as the result of the integration of other iberian languages as they started to die, such as the andalusian dialect.

So no you stupid fuck, spanish from spain is NOT traditional spanish.

Post Spanish music

youtube.com/watch?v=J9Nb0N455JA

the same thing can be observed in other colonies with immigration models such as portuguese (for example the use of voce instead of tu) or in american english (retaining archaic vowel forms such as color/flavor instead of colour/flavour)

the fuck is that shit? No one continues to speak traditional Spanish. you have sixteenth-century books and nobody talks like that, the fact that people speak differently in Spain is due to the populist movements of the beginning of the XX century
Nobody speak like that there this is from the XVI century

dioth mio.... la luth ethtinguido...

that's literally what I said

NO you said that you keep the purest spanish and hasn't evolved there, Spanish was just the same till the early XX in almost all the countries

And Andalucia speak Spanish / Castillian

no you dumbass, I said that traditional spanish doesn't exist and it's certainly not spoken in Spain, I said that SOME archaic forms of spanish are found in latin america because they weren't properly enforced due to the extension of the empire just as some archaic forms of spanish dont exist in latin america but exist in the peninsula

>And Andalucia speak Spanish / Castillian
I said andalusian dialect, not andalusian language you moron
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andalusian_Spanish

Nah, Some parts of Granada and Málaga spoke "latino"( a romance language common in the south of Spain) which died in 17th century.
