I could probably post Minneapolis too but I live in St. Paul and like it better.

Attached: sp3f.jpg (1200x405, 268K)

But here's Minneapolis anyway. I deliberately chose this angle rather than one that makes the skyline look huge because I want to show off its lakes and green space to all the dirty yuropoors

Wait, mexicans have literal sky scrapers? I'm unironically surprised and impressed.

t. realises how much this looks like bait

Impressive right?
One of the largest economies on earth has buildings

>One of the largest economies on earth has buildings

>proceeds to post favela tier image

come on, don't spoil it.

>wake up
>remember I'm in Edmonton

suicide is the only option

Attached: edf.jpg (2672x1508, 1.36M)

that is some sim city tier mess

what's so bad about Edmonton?

i live in LA proper but santa monica is 2 miles away while downtown la is 20 miles away. did more shit in santa monica growin up so i have more of a connection to it.

beautiful but sorry you don't like it. i can imagine the cool skyline does not keep you warm in the winter

beautiful

what do you not like about halifax?

I prefer traditional hillside towns like San Miguel to my city

doesn't really look that great desu

Attached: USACE_New_Orleans_skyline.jpg (1500x1002, 314K)

ey im goin there in a few weeks can u share any good places to eat or see music

That looks truly miserable

I seriously don't understand the US. Besides New York and San Francisco, no city has any decent downtown or city core. Hell, the high rises that do exist all look like they were built in the 80s. Why do Americans hate urban life?

Attached: img_4981.jpg (3464x2309, 2.97M)

fuck off psychopath

Lots of cities have a city core

americans love to have a house and yard so most cities especially more newly large ones are based more around sprawl than vertical rises. plenty of cities are more traditionally setup with a dense downtown. a lot of them are on the east coast or just older big cities.

also where is that pic? 'couver?

well, it's my city's skyline.

it's extremely cherrypicked. you're never gonna see the city like this when living here.

Attached: gothenburg skyline.jpg (1024x640, 348K)

very neato. love the ferris wheel peepin out from back there. hows life in the burg

This angle is better but downtown is generally a bit shit.

Frenchman St > Bourbon St is my biggest recommendation, but I kinda hate the quarter in general. As for food, what kind of stuff are you looking for? You can't walk a block hardly anywhere without passing at least one restaurant and there is certainly a lot of variety, but I don't really eat out much so I'm not sure how much help I can provide.

because living in cramped hives is for insects

Attached: cebu.jpg (2048x672, 406K)

thx, and im lookin for anything w vegetarian options and on the cheaper side

Lovely

it's comfy enough. I don't really visit the central areas that often anymore, it's mostly when I go to uni.

the pace is pretty slow, so it's a good city if you like taking easy strolls.

I like Acme oyster house.

hm, can't really help you with the vegetarian part m8, I would do some searches and see what comes up. One other recommendation is that Morning Call in City Park is better than Cafe Du Monde.

Forced integration of minorities into cities made white people move to suburbs.

Sad, I love Edmonton. Greener than Calgary at least. Calgary is beautiful too though.
It's cold and flat but idk, I like it a lot.
fucking called it that you were a maritimer
>says the fucking leaf
Your cities are way more planned and coreless than American cities.
>Mississauga exists
>Vancouver exists with the chink towers
>Toronto exists

thank you i will heed your words

the pearl of the west coast :)

Attached: Gothenburg.jpg (1000x656, 149K)

...

I wonder how it looked before the 50-60s

it that particular pic? almost the same, just smaller. while many older buildings were replaced, the streets are essentially the same, and you can't see differences in architecture from that distance, at least not in that pic.

City planning is a good thing, dumbass. Otherwise you end up with Houston's everywhere. Mississauga looks like ass because it's a functioning suburb of Toronto. Also, Toronto has come a really far way since 1980. It's has the most high rise developments under construction in North America and parts of the waterfront is being planned by Google

Attached: toronto.jpg (960x686, 779K)

Toronto is a massive clusterfuck, it has the worst commute times and traffic in north america

Attached: New Westminster.jpg (2400x1602, 493K)

Commute times from outside of Toronto. Toronto itself is gonna be fine at this rate. The hunger to satisfy suburban drivers doesn't exist anymore

Attached: urbantoronto-10156-36243.jpg (949x1024, 234K)

That looks really pretty outdated. Especially in about 3 years once they finish Pier West and block out the sun for everyone

How did Toronto get built up so fast?

The sad parts are the replacements

I figured it was a bit old, but couldn't find any better picture. Do you live in New West?

money flowing in from Asia, same as Vancouver

Lovely

Pitt 2

Or the fact that many big american cities developed after cars?

fugg you fagit :DDDD

The suburbs here are filled with minorities while white people live in the core.

I've never actually been there

Attached: morgan-doug-Calgary-Morning.jpg (2711x800, 821K)

Younger people want to live in city cores more, houses cost a shit ton, city planning mandates what kind of new buildings can be built and Toronto is pretty big. A city with a metro population of 7 million and growing is bound to build up eventually

Nah, Delta. I'm just there often. There aren't really those many new pics, so probably this google earth screenshot

Attached: lMgLpNE.jpg (1308x525, 176K)

You live in Montana?

Yes

Go. It's a great city.

Planning to do the drive up to Yellowknife at some point, I'll stop there for a day or two then.

Hahahahahahahahaha

Attached: Calgary_01.jpg (1440x839, 1.45M)

I've done that drive from Calgary actually. It's fuckin awesome. Super fuckin remote

Love Melbourne desu

>mfw from saskatchewan, an actual shit place and people think edmonton is bad

Does Saskatchewan even have anything that could be called a city?

Looks better from below.

For 1.2 million Calgary punches above its weight.

Attached: Screen Shot 2018-03-12 at 11.25.19 PM.png (872x249, 437K)

nope. doesnt even have anything that resembles civilization

At least we don't have commie blocks
They are too grimm

2 hours from here, LA lite I guess

We usually don't allow buildings to rise higher than the highest church in the city, except for buildings that have a need to be tall (television towers etc)

Some years ago the Turks tried to build a mosque in Cologne with minarets higher than the cathedral afaik, was met with anger in the whole country. Dunno what happened with them.

Frankfurt is trying to sell their tourism by actually having a skyline

Nothing is more comfy than walking around downtown/Fish Creek in the fall. If you arent >tfwnogf, Fish Creek is the perfect place take her and just skip rocks along the river

Fugg :DDD

well, skyline may be a strong word since we have laws designed to preserve the historical look, so new buildings cannot be too tall and they have to be approved by a conservation office so they wouldn't stand out too much. but here it is.
