Destroying Hemlock, a very poisonous plant that looks exactly like the harmless Dogtube plant, which ironically starts often to grow on corpses, has started to appear on Finland more and more often.
It is very important you don't taste this plant, it has potent poison which will kill a person in 15 minutes.
Many animals have already died by eating this plant.
Finnish biologist Suzanne Pimenoff said that Dogtubes are practically everywhere while the Destroying Hemlock is always next to bodies of water. So especially near water, you should not touch these plants because they look identical.
There is no antidote for the poisoning from this plant. The plant is originally from Denmark and South Sweden and Baltic Islands.
They can be found in most places off the beaten path.

Sure, I see the occasionally. I think they're pretty.

This is why I never eat anything that grows wildly when I'm in the woods.
Bentley Sanchez
I was a bit bothered when I read this, but when I saw it came from denmark and sweden i stopped. I mean you dont really hear about tons of animlas and people here dying even though this plant apparently has spread from here
A lot of plants are poisonous without people really realizing, it's just that most individuals aren't dumb enough to eat plants that they know nothing about. Cows occasionally die from eating it, but it's so uncommon that you don't really hear about it.
Josiah Morales
Hemlock grows everywhere over here but nobody dies from it. and are entirely correct. This isn't something you should worry about.
Lucas Sullivan
I'm all for the finnish news poster, you really should check the english names for the plants. This isn't the first time I have to notify you on the matter.
there used to be a big patch of these near water spring on the way to my home next to road nobody did anything about them until some kid died he tripped from path to spring into the plants and got burns on his skin and died
Nathaniel Smith
Propably a different species. You have to eat hemlock to get poisoned.
Blake Brown
I think you're talking about giant hogweed, its juiced cause phytophotodermatitis in humans, making the skin hypersensitive to sunlight.
Andrew Wilson
i dont know it looks a lot like this thing Cow Parsnip
Parker Flores
Fucking biological weapon
Josiah Collins
All those three plants are actually related to each other so they also look similar. But the Giant Hogweed is noticeable by its giant size.
